"You currently don’t have the value necessary for me to abandon the 'Heavenly Night叉' piece..."
Without hesitation, Ichi decisively rejected Law's offer.
Although Law’s declaration of loyalty was a great advantage for him, Doflamingo still held immense utility for Ichi at this moment.
"Doffy~~~"
"Damn bastard!!"
"Hurry up and go faster!!"
"Y-yes, Trebol-sama…"
On the pink pirate ship, Trebol, Diamante, and others were in a frenzy, filled with anger and anxiety as they rushed to rescue their leader.
Doflamingo, the man chosen by fate, carried their "dreams"—their protection, status, power, wealth—all of which would vanish like bubbles if anything happened to him.
"Don’t dawdle. First, take out his heart and hand it over to me. We can’t risk him waking up…" Ichi glanced at the pirate ship hundreds of meters away, visibly annoyed as he barked at Law.
"Clang clang clang~~~"
Law unsheathed Kirikiri, his sword brimming with hatred and murderous intent as he approached Doflamingo. His demeanor wasn’t that of someone coming to help but rather someone ready to slaughter Doflamingo without hesitation.
"My lord…"
Horton stood silently behind Ichi, exuding the iron resolve of a soldier. His eyes reflected curiosity; he didn’t know what his lord intended to do.
"If you wish to kill him, ★ 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ★ feel free…"
Sitting casually to one side, Ichi glanced indifferently at the fiercely determined Law, who seemed prepared to die for vengeance. "But I can’t guarantee whether this little bear will be left wishing for death afterward."
"Huh?"
Bepo, sprawled on the ground, thought he’d misheard: "Me? Wishing for death? Ah!! Nooo~~~ Captain!!"
The next moment, realizing what had been said, Bepo leapt up in panic, cold sweat dripping down his fur as he clutched his head and screamed in terror.
"You…"
Law’s heart sank as he clenched his teeth in frustration. "Damn it!!"
His enemy lay before him, utterly defenseless, yet he couldn’t strike the killing blow. There was nothing more agonizing or suffocating than being denied the chance to exact revenge.
He didn’t doubt that an evil military organization like Germa 66 might indeed make Bepo suffer horribly.
"ROOM…"
A hemispherical space rapidly expanded, enveloping both him and Doflamingo.
"What is this?" Horton, ever vigilant, stared at the scene, his pupils contracting in astonishment.
"Surgical Blade!"
The impossibly long blade of Kirikiri plunged directly toward Doflamingo’s heart.
"Whoosh!" A cube-shaped object shot out from Doflamingo’s body, caught effortlessly by Ichi standing nearby.
"Thump… thump…"
Within a transparent, jelly-like crystal, a heart continued to beat steadily.
Doflamingo’s heart, along with the surrounding muscle tissue, had been extracted and encased within the small cube, making it an unsettling sight.
"You two, come here…"
After securing Doflamingo’s heart, Ichi called over two Germa soldiers who had previously been knocked unconscious by his Conqueror’s Haki and were only now regaining consciousness.
"Take this heart and transplant it into Doflamingo…" Ichi pointed first to one soldier and then to Doflamingo. He then gestured toward Horton and the other Germa soldier. "And swap Horton’s heart with this soldier’s."
"Yes, my lord!"
Neither the two Germa soldiers nor Horton himself showed any resistance to Ichi’s orders. Having grown up in the Germa Kingdom, they were already prepared to sacrifice themselves for the Vinsmoke family.
"Are you planning to…"
Law’s pupils contracted as he looked at Ichi with suspicion and uncertainty.
Wasn’t the goal to control Doflamingo?
By holding his heart, they effectively held his life in their hands. Why all the secrecy?
"Just do as I say!"
Ichi glanced at Trebol and the others who were almost upon them, showing no intention of explaining further.
After all, Doflamingo was once a Celestial Dragon. Given his pride, if he knew his heart was in Ichi’s possession, even if he outwardly complied, there was no telling what desperate schemes he might concoct against Germa behind the scenes. That could lead to significant trouble.
This heart would serve its purpose when the time came.
There was no need to constantly wield it as a threat. Doflamingo wasn’t someone to be trifled with.
At the critical moment, when it truly mattered, Ichi wouldn’t give Doflamingo any time to react or scheme. He’d ensure that even facing the Four Emperors, Doflamingo would obediently comply.
Maintaining a facade of peaceful cooperation while wielding covert control was sufficient.
Having personally witnessed his own strength and potential, Ichi knew well that Doflamingo—a man plotting revenge against the Celestial Dragons above Mary Geoise, seeking to overturn their rule—was cunning and patient enough not to let such a minor grudge cloud his judgment.
"Doflamingo, enjoy reaping the ‘evil fruit’ you’ve sown during this time. One day, I will avenge Mr. Corazon."
Though unable to exact revenge immediately, seeing Doflamingo humiliated was better than nothing.
Law realized this much: sooner or later, Doflamingo, having suffered a crushing defeat this time, would be played to death by this devilish individual.
Without delay, Law swiftly removed the heart of one Germa soldier and transplanted it into Doflamingo. Then, he swapped the heart of Fifth Squad Captain Horton with another Germa soldier.
"When you return to headquarters, report directly to the logistics department to guard the warehouse. You won’t accompany the main forces on future campaigns."
"Yes!!"
