Chapter 478: Chapter 478: Phantasms Kalgara
Mikita, Marianne, Raki and Nojiko entered the forest. "Another jungle," Nojiko remarked.
"The jungle always has new and exciting surprises," Raki joked.
"I hope they are good surprises," Mikita said.
At that moment, the small blue rabbit creature holding a staff crossed their paths. "The bunny is back," Marianne said.
The rabbit creature held his staff and they saw a vision. They saw the old man from the previous vision holding the orb in front of various people, however their faces could not be seen. The old man had a large smile on his face as he approached the mysterious people.
Mikita, Marianne, Raki and Nojiko saw the little rabbit disappear. "He went again," Marianne remarked.
"He's trying to show us something," Mikita observed.
"The real question is what," Raki added.
"And more importantly, why," Nojiko chimed in.
"Let's keep going for now," Mikita remarked. They all nodded and headed forward. They walked around and saw red flowers.
"These look pretty," Marianne remarked.
"They are for sure but they do not look natural," Raki added.
"Yeah they look fake," Nojiko said as she grabbed the red flower. It changed to grass.
"Looks like there was something more," Mikita said. "Let's collect as many as possible," she added.
Nojiko and Marianne grabbed the red flowers which turned into Clear Grass. The grabbed 10x Clear Grass.
They walked down and saw an altar with a shiny orb. "Looks like we found another one," Nojiko said.
"I am hoping this one will not be a Mikhawk," Mikita remarked.
"That would be very unlucky," Nojiko said. They walked towards the shiny orb. There were some markings on the floor. The floor around the altar was concrete.
As they stepped onto the concrete, the orb started to glow. Suddenly everyone got a vision of
Raki around a campfire. They saw the chief of the tribe telling a story by the Chief. There was a bean stroke in the background. The vision changed to Enel and his forces attacking the Shandia. The vision changed to Raki fighting them. She had lost. Then she trained tirelessly. After that, the scene changed to Raki meeting Ben. It looked like an argument broke out. Then Raki agreed to join Ben with a smile on her face.
Raki was about to say something when the orb started to glow. There was a bright light. From the bright light a figure started to form. They saw a man with red hair that extended down to his knees. He had red tattoos on both shoulders and a pair of small white wings extending from his back. He wore purple laced-leg pants under a grass skirt. "Phantasm Kalgara," Phantasm Kalgara said.
"It's him," Raki said, her voice filled with shock and awe.
"Who is he?" Marianne asked.
"I don't think we've ever met him," Mikita added, studying the figure.
"He's Kalgara," Raki said, her voice reverent. "The legendary warrior of the Shandia," she added. "I heard he was strong," she added. "I don't know if I can fight him," Raki said.
"He is not real," Nojiko said, "Remember these are all fakes and not as strong as the real one," Nojiko added.
"Ben said we should be able to beat him," Mikita said.
"We can defeat him," Marianne said.
Raki took a deep breath. She thought they were right, he was a fake. They are using his great name. She will beat him. "You are right, he is just a fake," Raki said as she transformed into her beast form. Her body grew feathers, her hands changed into large wings. She grew taller. Her feet became like a crow. She had a long tail. Her head changed into a rooster. Raki had turned into a two-legged dragon, with a rooster's head.
Nojiko smiled. "Let's get him," Nojko said.
"Breath of Basilisk," Raki said as she exhaled a grey mystical breath. The breath reached Kalgara.
"Skyward Thrust," Phantasm Kalgara said as he lunged forward past the breath. The gas hit his stomach and touched his stomach which turned to stone. He moved with lightning speed. He thrusted his spear forward towards Raki.
Mikita noticed Phantasm Kalgara charging toward Raki, his spear aimed at her. Without hesitation, she leaped in front to shield her. "Iron Body!" Mikita shouted, her entire form hardening like steel. The spear struck her with immense force, failing to pierce her defense but sent her hurtling backward from the impact. Despite the blow, Mikita twisted mid-air and landed firmly on her feet.
"Are you okay?" Marianne asked.
"I am," Mikita responded.
"Cloud Surge," Nojiko said as she created dense storm clouds around Phantasm Kalgara. "Lightning Barrage," she added. Phantasm Kalgara looked at the cloud. He saw the cloud darkend. A lightning bolt hit Phantasm Kalgara. His body shook and there was a mark on his shoulder.
"Sky Cyclone Descent," Phantasm Kalgara said as he leapt into the air. He spun his spear creating a spiralling vortex around him. The clouds around him got pulled together and dissipated.
"He is moving my clouds," Nojiko said. Another lightning bolt struck him on the stomach. It was followed by a third and fourth. The veins on his eyes went red. However, Phantasm Kalgara then descended downwards towards Nojiko. He struck the ground with a devastating spinning attack, sending a wave of destruction in all directions. The ground broke apart. Nojiko turned into clouds and avoided all damage.
Phantasm Kalgara looked at Nojiko who had disappeared. He then turned his attention to Marianne. "Skyward Drive," Phantasm Kalgara said as he lunged forward with a sudden burst of speed at her. He twisted his body mid-lunge in a spiralling motion, creating a vortex of wind. He approached Marianne.
Marianne quickly held out her Impact Dial, absorbing the brunt of Phantasm Kalgara's powerful attack. She slid backward from the sheer force, her boots digging into the ground to stabilise herself. Despite the strain, she smirked. "Impact Dial," she said as she unleashed the stored energy back at him. The explosive recoil sent Kalgara hurtling backward through the air.
Mikita dashed forward. "Meteor Fist," she said, dramatically increasing the weight of her right hand. She leaped into the air, meeting the airborne Kalgara mid-flight. With a thunderous swing, her weighted fist collided with him, generating a shockwave that rippled through the battlefield. The impact sent Kalgara careening to the side, crashing into the ground with a resounding thud.
Phantasm Kalgara got up slowly. He looked up to see Raki running towards him. She swung her tail at him and hit his stomach. "Stone Touch," Raki said as her touch turned his stomach into stone. Phantasm Kalgara jumped back. His stomach stopped turning into stone.
Marianne took aim with her yellow gun. She pulled the trigger, firing a dice-shaped bullet that streaked through the air with incredible speed. The bullet struck Phantasm Kalgara squarely, detonating on impact. A massive explosion erupted, shaking the ground and engulfing him in a cloud of smoke and debris.
Phantasm Kalgara slid backwards. There were scratches everywhere on him. He saw Raki once again charging him. "Sky Cyclone Descent," Phantasm Kalgara said as he leapt into the air. He spun his spear creating a spiralling vortex around him. He descended downwards towards Raki.
Raki smiled. "Petrifying Gaze," Raki said as she looked Phantasm Kalgara in the eye. Phantasm Kalgra looked back. His face started to turn into stone. He quickly looked away and swung his spear at Raki. Raki dodged the attack.
Mikita launched a powerful punch at Phantasm Kalgara, but he swiftly sidestepped, dodging her attack. She followed up with a quick kick, but he anticipated the move and evaded again. Phantasm Kalgara retaliated, swinging his spear in a wide arc, forcing Mikita to duck just in time. He thrust his spear toward her, but Mikita nimbly stepped aside, narrowly avoiding the sharp blade. She countered with a rapid punch aimed at his chest. However, Phantasm Kalgara raised his spear just in time, using it as a shield to block her strike with a loud clang.
Nojiko quickly surrounded them both with dense clouds. Mikita jumped back, Phantasm Kalgara moved to pursue, but Nojiko acted swiftly, manipulating her clouds to encircle him tightly. "Tornado Shroud," she said as the clouds condensed into a rapidly rotating cyclone. The powerful vortex spun with incredible force, lifting Phantasm Kalgara into the air. He was hurled upward in spiralling circles. With a final burst of energy, the cyclone ejected him, sending him hurtling through the sky before crashing back to the ground with a resounding impact. Dust and debris scattered.
Marianne took aim with her yellow gun once again. She pulled the trigger, firing a dice-shaped bullet that streaked through the air. The bullet struck the area where Phantasm Kalgara was. It detonated on impact. A massive explosion erupted once again. Phantasm Kalgara was sent flying back once again.
Mikita did not waste any time. Mikita jumped in the air. "Gravity Stomp," she said as she increased her weight dramatically, making herself as heavy as a boulder. She went down towards Phantasm Kalgara. Mikita`s foot connected with him who was just getting up. The immense weight behind the kick created a shockwave, sending Phantasm Kalgara back. He landed on the ground.
Raki approached him. His body was battered and beaten. The attacks were relentless, one after the other. She stood over Phantasm Kalgara who still had some fight in him as he reached for his spear. Their eyes met. "Petrifying Gaze," Raki said. His body slowly turned into stone. "Thank you," Raki whispered.
Phantasm Kalgara`s body levitated from the ground. His body spun around and turned into light and went back into the orb.
"We did it," Marianne shouted.
"Yes we did," Nojiko agreed.
Raki turned back into her human form.
"Are you okay?" Mikita asked.
"I am," Raki said with a smile on her face.
The orb started to shake and then went into the sky. From the altar a piece of paper came out of it.
Marianne picked it up. "It is a map," Marianne remarked.
"Lets keep it," Nojiko said.
"We should head back now," Mikita said. They all nodded and headed back to the Miss Love Duck.
