ONE PIECE: GHIDORAH

Chapter 27: CH 27: GRANDLINE

The red line loomed in the distance, a massive natural wall cutting through the sky. The sight was both awe-inspiring and intimidating, and the crew of Yuji's ship stood at the helm, gazing forward with mixed emotions.

Bepo was the most restless, pacing back and forth on the deck, his paws gripping the ship's wheel tightly. His ears twitched nervously, and his eyes darted between the towering red line and the ship's instruments.

"Bepo, relax," Yuji said, leaning against the rail with a faint smile. His silver hair fluttered in the wind. "If you mess up, we can always fly over it."

Bepo froze mid-step and stared at Yuji, his mouth hanging open. "Fly? What do you mean, Captain?"

Law raised an eyebrow, closing his book and glancing up. "You're joking, right?"

Hancock, standing beside Yuji, let out a soft laugh, her eyes filled with amusement. "He's not joking. Yuji always has his own way of doing things."

Bepo scratched his head, still confused. "I… I don't think I understand."

Yuji simply chuckled and waved dismissively. "Don't overthink it. Focus on navigating. I trust you."

As the ship neared the base of the reverse mountain, the roar of rushing water grew louder, and the current began to pull them forward. The massive incline of the canal leading up the mountain came into view, and the crew braced themselves for the climb.

Bepo took charge, barking instructions to the others. "Lower the sails slightly! Adjust the rudder to the left! We need to stay centered in the current!"

Law, despite his usual calm demeanor, followed Bepo's directions without complaint. He adjusted the ropes while keeping an eye on the ship's stability.

Hancock, on the other hand, leaned casually against the railing, her arms crossed as she watched the commotion. "You're all working so hard," she said with a smile. "Should I lend a hand?"

Yuji grinned at her. "I think they've got it covered. You just enjoy the ride."

The ship began its ascent, the powerful current propelling them upward. Bepo's focus was unwavering as he called out adjustments, his nervousness momentarily forgotten in the heat of the moment.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they crested the peak of the reverse mountain and began their descent. The crew held their breath as the ship raced down the canal, the water churning around them.

When they reached the bottom, the ship leveled out, and the Grand Line stretched out before them, an endless horizon of mystery and danger.

Bepo let out a sigh of relief, his paws trembling slightly. "We made it," he whispered.

Yuji clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Good job, Bepo. I knew you could do it."

The compliment was too much for Bepo, who began to sob uncontrollably. "I-I was so nervous, Captain! But we did it!"

Law rolled his eyes, though a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Stop crying, Bepo. You're embarrassing yourself."

Hancock laughed softly. "Let him have his moment. He worked hard."

**The Lighthouse**

As they sailed away from the reverse mountain, Yuji scanned the horizon, his sharp eyes searching for familiar landmarks. "Where's the big whale?" he murmured to himself. "And the old man at the lighthouse?"

Hancock tilted her head. "Big whale? Old man? Were you expecting someone?"

Yuji frowned, his expression thoughtful. "I thought this would be the spot to see Laboon and Crocus. Guess not."

Law raised an eyebrow. "Who are they?"

"Doesn't matter," Yuji replied, shaking his head. "They're not here."

With that, he turned his attention back to the Grand Line. "Let's move on. Bepo, get us on course for the next island."

Bepo nodded, wiping his eyes. "Aye, Captain!"

After a day and a half of sailing, the crew was beginning to settle into the rhythm of life on the Grand Line. Yuji spent most of his time at the helm, while Law alternated between studying medical texts and keeping an eye on the ship's condition. Hancock occupied herself with various small tasks, often teasing Bepo whenever she found an opportunity.

Bepo, for his part, remained focused on navigation, though his ears twitched nervously whenever Hancock approached him.

"Captain!" Bepo suddenly shouted, his voice filled with excitement. "I see an island!"

Yuji straightened up, a grin spreading across his face. "What do you see, Bepo?"

Bepo squinted, his eyes scanning the horizon. "Uhm… I see mountains—wait. Is that… a giant cactus?"

Yuji's grin widened, and he murmured to himself, "Whiskey Peak, huh?"

Hancock raised an eyebrow. "Whiskey Peak? Is that the island's name?"

"Nope, I think this island name is Cactus Island" Yuji replied. "And Whiskey Peakcis the only known town there"

Hearing this Law suddenly ask "Hey how do you know those kind of things?"

"Like I said Law, I knoe more than you can ever think"

Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, a massive marine warship cut through the waves, its imposing silhouette casting a long shadow over the water.

Vice Admiral Momonga stood at the helm, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. His sharp eyes scanned the horizon, and his expression was one of grim determination.

"Prepare to dock," he ordered. "We need to resupply on this island"

Behind him, the two rear admirals exchanged glances. They had heard the stories of the destruction in the North Blue, and they knew the dangers that awaited them.

"Do you think it's really pirates behind this?" one of them asked.

Momonga's gaze hardened. "It doesn't matter who it is. We'll put an end to it."

---

Yuji's ship docked at Whiskey Peak, and the crew disembarked, their senses on high alert. The town was quiet, almost eerily so, and the towering cacti loomed over them like silent sentinels.

Bepo clutched the log pose he had purchased, his ears twitching nervously. "This place feels… strange," he said softly.

Law nodded, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings. "It's too quiet. Be careful."

Hancock stepped closer to Yuji, her usual confidence tempered by caution. "What do you think, Yuji?"

Yuji smirked. "Let's see what this place has to offer."
