Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Fertilizer
"Huh? What's happening?"
Old Tommy and Pitman, along with his followers, froze for a moment, unable to comprehend what had just transpired.
Pitman looked at the massive man whom Rorschach was standing over, the same pirate he had sent to inform him earlier.
"Hey! Gene, you fool, why are you lying on the ground?"
Pitman shouted instinctively, questioning what was on his mind.
But he quickly realized he had asked a ridiculous question.
It was obvious that Gene didn't want to lie on the ground as a prop for a young man with silver hair.
So, the smiling silver-haired young man in front of them must be the reason.
Pitman's face turned a dark shade of blue.
The humiliation of his men in such a manner meant the young man couldn't care less about him.
"It seems you intend to stand against me, Pitman?"
"Ah..." Rorschach sighed with boredom as he looked at the monkey-like man in front of him, "You resemble a monkey even in your thinking, don't you? Accusing people before knowing the truth. Tell me, what were you planning to do when you came with such force?"
"What was I planning? Of course, I intended to capture you, bind you, and sell you at the famous auction. Ha ha ha! You handsome young man and the charming little girl, you would make the finest goods for the nobles and the rich. In fact, the great nobles prefer people like you over young girls, ha ha ha."
A wicked smile spread across Pitman's monkey-like face.
"You plan to capture us in broad daylight with all these men? Don't you know there's a branch of the Navy on this island? Aren't you afraid they will come and chase you?"
Rorschach's tone began to shift, laced with anger.
"The Navy?"
As if hearing a funny joke, Pitman and his followers exchanged glances and burst into laughter.
"Ha ha ha, the Navy masters don't have time to care about us. We've already paid our full monthly dues. As long as the money is delivered, neither the World Government nor the Navy cares about such trivial matters."
"Trivial matters?"
Rorschach felt anger rising within him.
The joy he felt from the beauty of Sabaody Island and its delicious food dissipated quickly, replaced by feelings of gloom.
"My dear... dear! Please leave now and do not confront Captain Pitman."
Old Tommy was so tense that sweat dripped from his forehead.
He hesitated for a moment, then tried to step out of the stall to plead with Pitman on Rorschach's behalf.
But he didn't dare to do so.
After all, he was just a simple vendor, and his fear for his family held him back from intervening.
Suddenly, old Tommy bit his lip, grabbed a pile of money from the stall, pulled out a disorganized sum of money from his pocket, and mustered his courage to address Pitman from a distance with a stiff smile:
"Captain Pitman, here's some money, it's today's earnings. You can take it all, but please be kind and let these children go. They didn't mean any harm to you..."
"Shut up!"
Pitman shouted loudly, scaring old Tommy and causing the money to fall from his hands onto the ground. The old man trembled violently and quickly retreated behind the stall, his face pale and daring not to speak again.
Pitman smiled savagely as he gripped his staff and then looked toward Rorschach. He was about to say something when his eyes met Rorschach's cold gaze, that sharp look like a sword that made his eyelids ache.
The savage smile on Pitman's face froze, and an unreasonable fear crept into his heart.
Rorschach said coldly: "Hibari, close your eyes."
Hibari bit her lip and turned away silently.
"What... what do you want to do? I warn you, don't do anything reckless. We've paid taxes to the Navy. If you do something foolish, the Navy branch on the island won't ignore us..."
Pitman's fear increased, making him gradually retreat.
But Rorschach had no intention of giving him a chance to finish his sentence.
Rorschach calmly said: "Wind Grip — Thousand Strike in an Instant!"
Rorschach flicked his finger gently.
In the air, gathered fingers of wind launched toward the pirates standing in the street, piercing through their foreheads.
The pirates didn't even have a chance to react as open gaps appeared in the middle of their foreheads, where finger holes passed from front to back, causing the backs of their skulls to explode, accompanied by blood and scattered bones that flew far before falling to the ground.
Pitman was the first to be attacked, the golden ring on his head shattered, and the top of his head exploded completely.
The hundred pirates who had come with such ferocity became mere lifeless corpses.
Old Tommy's eyes were wide open, then he smoothly fainted.
Rorschach calmly said: "Leaving the bodies here will stain the street. You pirates are only fit to be fertilizer for the mangrove trees."
Rorschach slowly stood up and pushed his hand forward.
The fierce winds gathered, wrapping like hard ropes, to bind the bodies of the dead pirates and pull them toward the base of Mangrove Tree No. 42, hundreds of meters away.
At the base of the tree, the ground spontaneously split open, forming pits ready for burying the bodies.
But the distorted faces of the dead pirates remained exposed on the surface, as if encircling the tree.
Gene, the pirate under Rorschach's foot, trembled in fear, unable to utter a single word.
He didn't have the strength to stand, so he crawled towards old Tommy's table, trying to distance himself from this demon.
Rorschach looked down at him with a cold gaze, similar to the one he held when facing the pirates who had oppressed the innocent in his hometown, Red Leaf Island in the North.
Rorschach said coldly: "Aren't pirates supposed to be ready for death? Let me see."
Rorschach gestured with his hand, and the invisible winds gathered around Gene, pulling him from under old Tommy's table.
Amidst his terrified screams, he was lifted a hundred meters in the air, where he fell onto one of the branches of the red tree.
Rorschach said: "Jump, if you survive, I'll let you go."
Gene clung to the branches, trembling, filled with terror, pointing to the dead faces staring at him from below.
Gene closed his eyes in despair, shivering, unable to jump.
Rorschach said calmly: "So, not all pirates have that courage."
Rorschach clenched his hand.
The winds transformed into an enormous invisible hand, gripping Gene and the branches he clung to.
Then it pressed down hard!
"Boom!"
Drops of blood flew, falling onto the big red tree, as if they were distorted childhood drawings.
Rorschach bent down, picked up the money that had fallen on the ground, returned it to old Tommy's arms, then turned toward Hibari, who was watching him.
Rorschach said: "Hibari, let's go to the Navy base on the island."
