One Piece: From Ninja To Pirates

Chapter 40: The Admiral Arrives!

Marine Admiral Aokiji!

Only one person could have done something like this.

"If that's the case, then Marine Headquarters has indeed sent an Admiral here as reinforcements," Meiser frowned.

In that case, they needed to consider the retreat of their crewmates.

Challenging a Marine Admiral would undoubtedly be thrilling, but the safety of their comrades had to be taken into account.

Glancing at the two men foaming at the mouth on the ground, Meiser hesitated for a moment but ultimately didn't deliver the killing blow immediately.

If the Marine Admiral arrived before Luffy defeated Rob Lucci, these two could still be used as leverage against him.

After summoning another clone, the Shadow Clone disappeared from the spot.

...

"Twelve Wheels Bloom!"

Nico Robin used her abilities to relentlessly attack the advancing Marines, whittling down the enemy's forces.

Fortunately, thanks to Meiser, the number of Marines with effective combat strength wasn't as high as expected.

Most were barely clinging to life on the sea's surface, with little energy left to join the fight.

Those who could still participate in the battle were basically captains or higher.

"Whoosh—"

At that moment, something suddenly flew out of the water and landed precisely in front of Nico Robin.

Recognizing the familiar object, Robin instinctively caught it.

"This is... a scroll?"

Nami gave the object in Robin's hand a puzzled look. How could there be a scroll here?

Robin didn't explain, simply tucking it into her clothes before turning to Blueno. "Has something changed?"

"Everyone, prepare to retreat," Blueno said calmly. "A Marine Admiral is coming."

"An... Admiral?"

Nami's face instantly paled. They had only been worried about the possibility of a Marine Admiral coming, but now one was actually here?!

Those terrifying monsters were far beyond what they could handle.

"What do we do? The Straw Hat Boy and the others haven't finished their fight yet," Franky said.

"We can only see who's faster now."

Sanji took a deep breath upon hearing this, lighting a cigarette he'd taken from the lifeboat. "In that case, let's board the ship first. We—"

Before Sanji could finish, a Navy Vice Admiral burst out of the sea and slashed at the nearby lifeboat with his sword!

"Thud!"

Like cutting through tofu, the lifeboat was split in two almost instantly.

"Hmph, trying to escape?" Strawberry sneered, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. "Stay right where you are!"

After the Navy had suffered such a humiliating defeat, did they really think they could leave alive?

At this point, Strawberry couldn't care less—there was no way he'd let these arrogant brats walk away alive!

After this, Strawberry turned and charged back into the water, intending to join his two comrades in killing that Ninja.

"It's over... the ship's gone..."

Nami was stunned. The lifeboat they'd worked so hard to seize had been casually destroyed with a single slash... How were they supposed to escape now?

Seeing Nami's apparent loss of morale, Blueno remained silent for a moment before saying, "Everyone, get inside the Air Door first!"

First, ensure the crew's survival—we'll figure out the ship issue later. If all else fails, we can try using the flooded Navy battleship.

Although confused, Nami and the others trusted Meiser and voluntarily approached Blueno, stepping into the newly opened Air Door.

Seeing this, Nico Robin wasted no time. She mercilessly snapped Spandam's neck and casually tossed him into the sea. Only after finishing this did she enter the Air Door.

Meanwhile, Blueno used Shave to rush to Usopp's side, yanking the bewildered sniper back and tossing him into the Air Door without ceremony.

"You bastard, aren't you part of Cipher Pol 9?!" a Navy captain roared furiously. "Why are you helping pirates?"

The enemy's only escape ship had already been destroyed, and now this guy was aiding their getaway?

Blueno merely gave him a cold, disdainful glance. "None of your damn business." Without waiting for further nonsense, he turned and vanished into the Air Door.

The Navy captain: "..."

"Is this also the World Government's intention?" a lieutenant commander wondered aloud.

"Bullshit! Impossible! That traitor must have defected!"

"Just wait—you'll be hunted down to the ends of the earth!!"

The captain seethed with rage, but his outburst was nothing more than impotent fury.

Inside the Air Door, Nami and the others stared at Blueno with equal confusion.

"You've already figured out how to get us out of here, right?" Zoro said. "This space is too small—there's not much air."

Sanji, who had been about to light a cigarette, seemed to realize something and crushed the unlit smoke underfoot. "The moss-head's right," he said. "Without a ship, escaping is just a pipe dream."

"The space issue is easily solved—I just need to push forward," Blueno replied calmly. "The real problem is how to leave this place."

"So... you don't have a plan either?" Sanji gaped.

"Our only option is to hijack a battleship," Blueno stated.

As he spoke, he gestured toward the translucent wall beside them, where several intact Navy battleships floated in the water. Though flooded, they could still serve as vessels if removed from the sea.

"Hold on—I'm still completely lost. Why did we suddenly end up in here?" Usopp interjected.

"A Marine Admiral is coming," Kokoro said.

"An Admiral, oh, an Admiral!" Chimney chimed in.

"An... Admiral?" Usopp's legs gave out, nearly buckling beneath him.

Had it really been so little time since they last faced that terrifying monster? Damn it—Sanji's fears had been right. That monstrous threat was actually here!

Just then, Usopp noticed a tiny dot appearing on the horizon, speeding toward them at an alarming rate.

"What's that?"

Squinting at the distant speck, he instinctively adjusted the long-range goggles on his forehead to get a better look—perhaps this was the so-called Marine Admiral. But the moment he identified the approaching figure, his body stiffened as if struck by lightning, trembling uncontrollably.

"What's wrong with you?" someone asked.

Zoro looked at Usopp in confusion, wondering why the guy had suddenly started trembling. Had he spotted a Marine Admiral?

Following Usopp's line of sight, the puzzled Zoro peered into the distance but found nothing unusual.

When it came to eyesight, no one in the Straw Hat Pirates could match Usopp!

"It's... it's our nakama coming to get us..."

"Nakama?" Franky stared blankly. "What nonsense are you spouting?"

Aside from the Straw Hat Boy and the Ninja guy fighting pirates outside, wasn't the entire Straw Hat Pirates crew right here?

"Hey Usopp, you're not running a fever, are you?" Zoro also looked at Usopp with concern, unable to understand his sudden outburst.

He instinctively wanted Chopper to check on him, but gave up when he saw Chopper was still asleep.

Tears streaming down his face, Usopp grabbed Zoro's collar and shouted excitedly: "Don't we have one more nakama?!"

"It's Merry! Merry!!"

"Merry's come to get us!!"

At this moment, Usopp even felt he could hear Merry's call—that incredibly familiar voice!

(Everyone, I've come to get you.)

"MERRY!!!"
