Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Ivankov’s Last Stand
In the depths of Freezing Hell, the howling wind swept through the desolate landscape, carrying with it an icy chill that could pierce through even the thickest of coats.
Deep within the dense forest, hidden beneath layers of snow and frost, a secret passage led to the concealed hideout of Newkama Land. At this moment, a figure emerged from its depths, leaping into the cold night.
Ivankov, now in her feminine form, soared through the air with remarkable agility. The transformation had been completed in an instant, allowing her to adapt to the situation. However, just as she was about to land gracefully on the forest floor—
Boom!
A sudden disturbance erupted from the ground below.
The seemingly solid layer of white snow abruptly shifted, softening into something far more unstable. What had once been delicate, frozen flakes now melted into a thick, viscous substance.
The next moment—
Crash!
A fountain of white clay surged skyward, twisting and shifting as though alive. From within this eruption of clay, a lone figure emerged.
Storm.
Ivankov's sharp eyes widened slightly.
'It's time!'
Without hesitation, she unleashed a swift attack.
"Death Wink!"
A powerful shockwave blast erupted from Ivankov's eye, rushing forward with incredible speed. The attack, honed through years of training, tore through the air with a force capable of breaking through steel.
Storm had only just appeared. He shouldn't have had enough time to react—
Ivankov smirked.
'Even if he has awakened the Clay-Clay Fruit, it's still a Paramecia-type ability. Unlike Logia users, he can't remain in a clay-like state indefinitely... right?'
The powerful wind blast struck Storm's body dead-on.
BOOM!
The impact was deafening.
Storm's body exploded into countless fragments, scattering like shattered porcelain. Small pieces of white clay rained down, mixing with the snow as they spread across the forest floor.
Ivankov's eyes lit up.
"Did I get him!?"
But then—
The ground beneath the scattered clay shimmered, changing in texture. The transformation spread outward like ripples in water, assimilating the entire forest floor.
The snow-covered land became clay.
The towering trees that had stood for hundreds of years—turned into white sculptures.
Ivankov's confident expression stiffened.
"He... he can assimilate the entire environment!?"
From within the transformed landscape, Storm reappeared, standing unharmed. His gaze locked onto Ivankov as he raised his right hand, manipulating the clay-covered forest to his will.
"Sea of Clay Trees!"
Ivankov barely had time to react before an entire forest of massive clay-formed trees surged upward.
Each towering structure was over ten meters tall, their trunks thick enough to withstand cannon fire. The branches stretched outward like reaching arms, forming a solid white net that blocked out the sky.
The overwhelming visual pressure made it feel as though the entire forest was closing in.
Ivankov inhaled sharply.
"Spinning Beauty!"
She curled into a tight ball, hugging her legs close to her body, and then—
WHIRL!
Ivankov spun at an impossible speed, rapidly rotating like a drill. The sheer momentum created an air barrier, distorting the space around her.
SMASH! SMASH!
The massive clay trees slammed into her spinning form, striking like giant whips.
Yet, instead of being slowed down—
Ivankov's rotation only accelerated.
The attacks from the "Sea of Clay Trees" merely fueled her momentum, making her spin even faster!
Storm's eyes narrowed.
He raised his right hand again—
The towering clay trees shifted once more.
This time, they did not strike randomly. Instead, they intertwined, weaving together into something far more dangerous.
Within seconds, the clay trees merged into an enormous, web-like structure—
"Spider's Nest!"
The massive clay web stretched across the battlefield, closing in from all sides. The once-spacious forest was now a prison of clay, sealing Ivankov in from every direction.
Ivankov fought back the dizziness as she tried to find an escape route—only to realize there was none.
Everywhere she looked—left, right, above, below—there was only clay.
Ivankov took a sharp breath.
"I... I can't escape!?"
For the first time in a long while, she felt trapped.
Gritting her teeth, Ivankov grasped a syringe from her belt and injected herself without hesitation.
"Embrio Male Hormone!"
A sudden transformation took place.
Ivankov's slender female form bulked up into a muscular male physique, brimming with raw power.
His eyes sharpened.
His hands moved.
"Newkama Style: Aesthetic Art #44 Secret Technique - Dream Strike Fist!"
[T/N: This move was used in Chapter 545 pages 11-12 in One Piece manga]
Ivankov's palm formed a knife-hand shape—
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
With blinding speed, his arms became a blur, launching a relentless barrage of strikes at the clay walls.
The consistency of the clay was soft—Storm had not reinforced it with Haki—This means Ivankov's speed-based strikes were effective!
One strike.
Two strikes.
Dozens. Hundreds. Thousands.
In mere seconds, Ivankov carved a tunnel through the suffocating clay prison.
A gust of frigid wind rushed in as he finally broke free!
"Hah... Hah..."
Ivankov exhaled heavily, his breath visible in the cold air. The relentless counterattack had drained a significant amount of stamina—
But there was no time to rest.
A massive shadow suddenly covered Ivankov's entire body.
His pupils shrank.
Ivankov slowly looked up—
And his breath caught in his throat.
Standing before him was something impossibly massive.
A dragon.
A colossal, snow-white dragon loomed over the battlefield. Its silver-gray scales gleamed under the dim light. Its icy breath misted in the frigid air. Its tail, thick as a ship, lazily swung behind it—each movement radiating overwhelming pressure.
Ivankov staggered backward, his face pale.
"...This is insane..."
He knew that Storm had a pet dragon.
He had seen it before through surveillance.
But if the Okama King remembered correctly, the little white dragon that Storm had before was only the size of an ordinary cat and could even lie on his shoulder.
But now—who could explain to Ivankov where on earth that huge dragon, lying on the ground and stretching at least several hundred meters long, had come from?!
Just as Ivankov stood there in stunned silence, the white dragon raised one of its massive claws and gently pressed it against the ground.
BOOM!
The clay earth seemed unable to withstand the suppression of such overwhelming force and erupted instantly.
A towering wall of white clay surged skyward, forming an insurmountable barrier across the Freezing Hell—a structure that can resemble the Red Line.
Ivankov's wide eyes were suddenly bloodshot. His heart pounded wildly as he stared at the seemingly endless wave of clay before him.
'Damn it! If this keeps up, I'll be buried alive!'
Without hesitation, he shoved both hands into his massive face, channeling the power of the Hormone-Hormone Fruit.
"Emporio Face Growth Hormone!"
"Emporio Tension Hormone!"
In just a matter of moments, two different special hormones were injected into his body.
His already larger-than-average face expanded several times over under the effect of the Face Growth Hormone.
At the same time, the Tension Hormone surged through his veins, causing his enormous cheeks to flush bright red.
Ivankov's movements became erratic, his body flickering across the battlefield.
"Huge Head Afterimage!" (Ganmen Supekutoramu!)
With extreme agility, Ivankov dashed between different positions, leaving behind blurred mirages of his massive, bloodshot face.
Each afterimage seemed to move independently, but they were all preparing for a devastating attack—
"GALAXY WINK!"
Ivankov blinked at breakneck speed, releasing an overwhelming series of explosive shockwaves each time he shifted to a new position.
The energy waves collided in unison, bombarding the immense waves of clay with relentless force.
RUMBLE—!
A chorus of thunderous explosions echoed across the Freezing Hell.
Ivankov's Galaxy Wink carved deep craters into the massive clay wave, each gaping hole nearly ten meters in diameter.
But compared to the sheer scale of the wave, these damages were laughably small.
The waves of clay continued to expand—its ever-growing mass reinforced by Storm's control over the Clay-Clay Fruit.
Despite Ivankov's desperate barrage, his attacks couldn't keep up with the self-repairing ability of the awakened Devil Fruit!
His hope dimmed as he realized the terrifying reality before him.
'No way… even my strongest move… did nothing?!'
In his despair-filled gaze, the gigantic clay wave came crashing down like a tsunami.
WHAM—!
Just one wave of clay destruction was enough to slam Ivankov to the ground, sending shockwaves rippling through the entire Freezing Hell.
Before he could even react, a mountain-sized mass of clay bore down on him, submerging his entire body in darkness.
Buried beneath the crushing weight of the Clay-Clay Fruit's power, the Okama King, Emporio Ivankov, would never rise again!
The battlefield grew eerily silent.
At that moment, Storm shifted his gaze downward as a new trophy materialized before his eyes.
It gleamed with diamond-like brilliance, radiating an air of undeniable prestige.
[Diamond Trophy: Emporio Ivankov]
[Star Rating: ★★★★★★]
"A six-star Diamond Trophy, huh?" Storm muttered, eyes narrowing slightly.
A sense of mild surprise flickered across his face.
"The legendary Miracle Man, the Grand Line Commander of the Revolutionary Army, only received a six-star rating?"
He tapped his fingers against his arm thoughtfully.
'Now that I think about it, Ivankov's combat ability was never that exceptional…'
Throughout their battle, not once did Ivankov display Conqueror's Haki.
His strength was formidable—but compared to true monsters of the sea, it lacked the overwhelming might needed to break past six stars.
Still, a diamond trophy was nothing to scoff at.
Storm let out a low chuckle.
"Not bad at all."
Raising his hand, he canceled the Clay-Clay Fruit's effects, restoring the Freezing Hell to its original, ice-covered state.
The battle had ended.
And with it, Storm's mastery over his awakening had reached new heights.
"With this fight, my devil fruit awakening is now combat ready!"
