Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Killing Chickens and Sheep

"Who's that? Three swords?"

"I remember now—that's the famous bounty hunter of the East Blue, Roronoa Zoro!"

"So, it's Roronoa Zoro. Who do you think will win?"

Zoro ignored the whispers and drew his sword, pointing it at Hawkeye. "I've never seen such a soft blade."

Hawkeye replied calmly, "Not all hard blades are powerful."

Zoro asked, "Did you cut this ship with that sword?"

"That's right."

Everyone swallowed hard at his answer.

Zoro said with respect, "I see… You truly are the strongest. I set out to find you at sea."

Hawkeye looked puzzled. "What's your goal?"

Zoro grinned. "To be the strongest."

Hawkeye snorted coldly. "Foolish boy."

Zoro challenged, "You have lots of free time, right? Let's have a duel."

Hawkeye jumped beside him, disdain in his eyes. "Humph. You pathetic weakling. If you were truly a first-rate swordsman, you'd have understood the gap between us before daring to draw your blade. Should I call you ignorant or brave?"

"Tsk tsk tsk…"

A sudden sound interrupted—the unmistakable voice of Lynn.

Everyone turned to see him holding a beautifully crafted sword.

Lynn drew the blade, performed a graceful sword dance, and said, "I heard you're the world's number one swordsman. I know you're powerful, but if I don't have the courage to challenge you, how can I ever become the top?"

Hawkeye turned, eyeing Lynn. "Who are you? Another challenger?"

"No." Lynn shook his head. "My name is Hyde D. Lynn. I can't beat you, but I have a few words…"

Delighted by the attention, Lynn raised his sword and introduced it. "This sword is called Gao Feng. It's 1.33 meters long, weighs 8.32 pounds, and is forged from ice from outer space. It can blow away hair, kill chickens and sheep. Pah! In short, this sword is the strongest in my heart!"

A sudden voice echoed in Lynn's mind:

"Ding! Congratulations, host! You've received the flirtatious reward, Space Slash.

Please note: after use, Space Slash requires a cooldown of one month. Side effects may occur. Use wisely."

"What is this?!" Lynn had no time to investigate further.

Feeling Hawkeye's sharp gaze, a drop of cold sweat trickled down Lynn's forehead. Did he just call his sword a chicken-killing weapon? If the masters of swordsmanship heard that, would they make him a public enemy?

Hawkeye finally asked, "Are you here to amuse me? Do you know the consequences?"

Lynn hurriedly shook his head. "How dare I? I'm just trying to clear the name of my sword! Please, continue…"

Hawkeye was surprisingly easygoing. Turning back to Zoro, Lynn slipped away to explore the so-called Space Slash technique.

Space Slash was different from his previous spatial cuts—the grip was unique. He had to form a fist, place his middle and index fingers in front of his chest as if chanting a spell, and mentally summon a space vortex the size of a bowl or plate beside him. Gao Feng would slowly emerge from it…

Oh my god, so cool!

This slash ignored the opponent's haki and simply cut through. Unlike his space field slash, which couldn't harm those with stronger armament, Space Slash was pure and relentless.

But it wasn't perfect—people could still dodge it.

Before Lynn could keep exploring, an angry Luffy burst forward and attacked Hawkeye!

It turned out Luffy had just been knocked into the sea!

Hawkeye glanced at him and explained calmly, "Don't worry, he's not dead—just fainted."

Then he looked at the soaked and fished-out Zoro. "See the world clearly, understand it, and then become stronger. Surpass me, Roronoa Zoro. No matter how many years pass, I'll be here waiting for your challenge, at the pinnacle of strength."

Zoro drew his last remaining sword and shouted to the sky, "Luffy! I won't lose again. Until I defeat him… Do you object? Pirate King!"

Luffy laughed, "Hahaha… No objections!"

Hawkeye noticed Luffy's straw hat long ago. That hat must've come from his old friend Shanks.

"It's harder to become Pirate King than to surpass me," Hawkeye said.

Luffy stuck out his tongue, "I don't care. I'll be the Pirate King!"

Hawkeye smirked and turned to leave, but Don Kreig wasn't done. His pirate crew had been cut down by Hawkeye.

Don Kreig strode up, "Hawkeye, we're not finished yet! Planning to leave so soon?"

"I've had enough fun. Time to go home and sleep."

Don Kreig drew his weapon with a sneer. "Before you go, you'd better die!"

Don Kreig fired every bullet he had. Smoke rose from where Hawkeye stood.

When it cleared, Hawkeye was gone.

Don Kreig huffed in frustration, turning to his crew. "What are you doing? Don't forget our goal—take the Baratie restaurant!"

"Leave it to us, Admiral Kreig!"

"Chief Don Kreig is the strongest. Even Hawkeye won't fight him! Hahaha!"

"Seize the restaurant, solve our food problem, and Don Kreigi will become Pirate King for sure!"

Luffy jumped onto the railing beside the ship and asked Zeff, the restaurant owner, "If I drive them away, will you let me stop working here?"

Zeff smiled, "Sure—as long as you can do it!"

Before Luffy could move, Lynn was already taking action.

After all, Lynn wanted to become strong too—strong enough to ride horses across the sea.

The tenderness of that night lingered in his mind.

So, under safe conditions, Lynn had to act fast and seize every chance!

He changed into a new, strange outfit.

Once again, everyone's eyes were drawn to Lynn's unique appearance.
