One piece: Establishing a Pirate Family

Chapter 448: Chapter 449: Pirate Supernovas

Chapter 449: Pirate Supernovas

As the new generation of the three great pirate crews in the New World gradually made their names known, waves of ambitious pirates from the Four Seas continued to break through countless perils—emerging as a new force: the Pirate Supernovas.

"Shishishishi! Boys, take this island!"

The Moria Pirates, having fought their way through encirclements, had finally entered the New World.

"Yes, Boss Moria!"

"You got it, Boss Moria!"

The pirates under Moria revealed bloodthirsty smiles as they greedily eyed the island ahead.

This particular island was located in the first half of the New World, near the Red Line.

It was a territory deliberately avoided by the three great pirate crews, who refrained from extending their influence too close to the Marines—preferring to avoid direct confrontation.

This left the island vulnerable—ideal prey for rootless pirates who had just entered the New World.

The island had changed hands several times. After several pirate crews perished, it was eventually claimed by the Gio Pirates.

It was said that Captain Gio had once been a kingdom's general. Inspired by Roger's words, he led his own troops into piracy.

But everything changed when they encountered the Moria Pirates.

"General Gio, we can't hold them off any longer!"

On the island, Gio's old subordinates still respectfully referred to him as "General."

"Damn it! Where did this pirate come from?!"

Gio growled, cigar clenched in his teeth, his body undergoing a full beastly transformation.

"Oh? So you're a Devil Fruit user too?"

Suddenly—

Moria emerged from the shadows, his towering form holding a long blade, grinning widely at the pirate captain before him.

"Roar!"

Gio let out a tiger's roar, slashing his claws at Moria with no intention of talking.

"Tiger Descends the Mountain!"

Gio lunged at Moria!

Clang!

Moria blocked Gio's ferocious pounce with a cold smirk, holding his blade firmly.

"That's all you've got? And you dared to claim this island? Get lost!"

Moria slashed fiercely!

Gio's tiger form was knocked back instantly.

"Shadow Blade!"

A sword formed from shadow shot forward!

Squelch!

The sound of flesh being pierced rang out.

Blood spilled!

The blade stabbed deep into Gio's chest!

"Shishishishi! You'll make a fine shadow!"

Moria laughed sinisterly as he approached the fallen Gio.

Under Gio's terrified gaze, Moria pulled out his shadow and slashed it apart with his blade.

"Toss him into the cage!"

Moria ordered casually to his subordinates.

"Yes, Boss Moria!"

The pirates around him, faces brimming with excitement, quickly bound Gio.

"Clear this island. Make it the first foothold of the Moria Pirates in the New World!"

Moria declared, surveying the blood-stained chaos around him.

With their captain captured, the rest of the Gio Pirates fell into complete disarray. Terror-stricken, they scattered and fled.

It took the Moria Pirates three days to fully subdue the island.

"Shishishishi! Let the New World hear the name of the Moria Pirates! I'll be King of the Pirates!!"

Moria stood in the midst of his men, laughing wildly.

From then on, the islands near the Red Line fell into chaos.

The Moria Pirates surged outward, conquering one island after another!

No nearby pirate crew could stand against them.

In just a short time, Moria carved through the entire first half of the New World. Except for the islands controlled by the three great pirate crews, almost every other island fell under Moria's rule.

His crew quickly expanded to over 10,000 pirates, becoming second only to the Yonko crews in the heart of the New World.

But Moria's rapid rise also painted a target on his back.

He became a thorn in the Marines' side.

The Marine bases stationed along the Red Line were systematically overrun by Moria, effectively severing their footholds in the New World.

Naturally, the Marines couldn't tolerate this.

Though most of their forces were tied up in the Four Seas, they still dispatched several vice admirals to eliminate Moria.

He found himself caught in a difficult situation.

Even so, the Moria Pirates became infamous throughout the seas!

Gecko Moria, captain of the Moria Pirates, Shadow-Shadow Fruit user, with a bounty of 320 million berries—

He was now recognized as one of the most dazzling Supernovas of the era following Roger's declaration that launched the Great Pirate Age.

Grand Line – Reverse Mountain

"Captain! Captain! Look! The newspaper lists the Buggy Pirates alongside the Moria Pirates as Supernovas!"

Buggy cautiously glanced at Dracule Mihawk and Sir Crocodile, who were seated beside him.

The two men's expressions were... grim.

Why, you ask?

That story began a year ago—

After joining the Buggy Pirates, each with their own agendas, things had gone sideways.

Buggy, active in the East Blue, had ended up right in the Marine's crosshairs, becoming a priority target.

The legendary Marine Hero Garp chased them relentlessly, like a cat toying with its prey.

They barely had a moment to rest.

After being chased across the East Blue for half a year, they were finally driven to the entrance of the Grand Line.

Only then did the Marines relent.

Originally, both Mihawk and Crocodile intended to use Buggy's reputation as a former Roger Pirate for their own gains.

But over the past year, they'd done nothing but block attacks for Buggy.

"I've had enough! Because of you, I've been hunted by the Marines for a year straight!"

Crocodile grabbed Buggy by the collar, slapping the newspaper in his hand in frustration.

"I-I couldn't help it either! That mad dog Garp chased me like he did my old captain!"

Buggy pleaded, eyes filled with grievance.

He glanced toward Mihawk, hoping for some backup.

Mihawk sat with his feet on the table, staring coldly at Buggy.

"Where are those 'strong allies' you kept bragging about?"

His gaze was like a blade of ice.

Buggy broke into a cold sweat.

"I-I didn't know the Marines would go this far!"

He stammered.

Crocodile flung him across the room.

"What now?" he asked Mihawk.

Mihawk didn't respond, continuing to glare at Buggy.

Under their scrutiny, Buggy felt a chill crawl up his spine.

"W-well, now that the Buggy Pirates have over 10,000 men and we've officially entered the Grand Line, I think it's time we made a move on the New World!"

Buggy said cautiously.

Crocodile and Mihawk narrowed their eyes.

"What are you implying?" Crocodile asked.

Buggy held up the day's newspaper and pointed to the headline:

"Twin Stars of Piracy: The Buggy Pirates and the Moria Pirates!"

Crocodile snorted, unimpressed.
