Chapter 202: Chapter 202: Bondi Wald's Death
Chapter 202: Bondi Wald's Death
The undercover agents had infiltrated the World Pirates, waiting for the perfect moment to strike from within.
But unexpectedly, their plans were ruined by the Rockefeller Pirates.
Barrett noticed that some of these "pirates" were moving too quickly. His Fusion Mode couldn't keep up with them.
So he canceled it.
Standing firmly on the ground, Barrett clenched his fists and let his dominant aura explode wildly.
A surge of purple-blue energy erupted, covering everyone in its range.
Charlotte felt the disturbance and turned his gaze towards Barrett.
"Such a chaotic mess..."
Charlotte shook his head.
Barrett's dominance was so wild that it even affected his own crew.
Meanwhile, Bondi Wald, who had just barely gotten back on his feet, turned his head towards the young warrior unleashing such terrifying Haki.
Although Barrett stood at four meters tall, his face still looked youthful.
"A monster..."
Bondi Wald had been abused by Charlotte for a while now, but when he compared his current opponent to Barrett, he felt a shiver of unease.
Suddenly, his eyes landed on a figure lying motionless in the dirt.
"Sebastian...!"
His expression twisted.
He felt nothing from Sebastian. No heartbeat. No movement.
He understood immediately.
"Ahhhh! Charlotte! I'll kill you!"
Rage consumed him.
His long-time companion, the one who had stood by his side since the North Blue, was dead—killed by Charlotte's crew.
He snapped completely.
"Tsk! You're not the first to want me dead."
Charlotte looked at Bondi Wald with disinterest. He lifted his Seven-Star Sword and swung casually.
A massive slash tore through the earth, splitting it apart.
"Damn it!"
Bondi Wald coated his fist in Armament Haki and punched forward, trying to block the attack.
Bang!
Pfft!
Bondi Wald was blasted backward, flying dozens of meters before vomiting blood.
His weapons were shattered, leaving him with nothing but his bare fists.
But bare fists were useless against the world's greatest swordsman.
"Ahem... as expected... you truly are the strongest swordsman."
Bondi Wald coughed blood and looked around.
His mind raced—he needed to escape.
He had to run.
"Trying to run? Not on my watch."
Charlotte smirked.
"Demon Slash!"
A crescent-shaped slash screamed through the air, heading straight for Bondi Wald.
He barely had time to react.
A moment later, the slash connected.
"Aaaaaahh!"
A piercing scream filled the battlefield.
Bondi Wald raised his left arm to block the attack—
But his entire arm was sliced off like butter.
His Haki-coated defenses meant nothing against Charlotte's sword.
"Tsk tsk... you're ruthless, Wald. You really thought losing an arm was a fair trade for your life?"
Charlotte stood motionless, casually observing his opponent.
From start to finish, Charlotte hadn't moved an inch.
His sword slashes alone had completely dominated Bondi Wald.
"Momo 100 times the speed!"
Bondi Wald gritted his teeth and activated his Devil Fruit power, ignoring the pain from his missing arm.
In an instant, he vanished, sprinting at unimaginable speed toward the harbor.
But Charlotte was waiting for him.
"Running now? What happened to that fighting spirit?"
Charlotte sighed.
Bondi Wald ignored his words.
He had no choice—he had to escape.
His eyes locked onto a ship in the harbor.
"Brothers... I'll get revenge for you...!"
His mind screamed with determination.
But a cold voice shattered his hopes.
"Revenge? Why bother? You'll be joining them soon."
Charlotte's figure flickered, his speed surpassing even Bondi Wald's enhanced movement.
He was already standing in front of the ship.
The Seven-Star Sword in his hand crackled with energy.
Bondi Wald's eyes widened in horror.
"No... not that move!"
"Demon Sword – Tyrant Heaven!"
Charlotte raised his sword, its blade crackling with black and red lightning.
Bondi Wald couldn't even speak.
BOOM!
A massive explosion rocked the harbor.
Flames shot into the sky, smoke billowing violently.
As the dust cleared, a mangled body lay motionless in a deep crater.
Bondi Wald was dead.
Charlotte tilted his head, observing the lifeless corpse.
"Well, that was entertaining."
He flicked his sword, and the Seven-Star Sword vanished from his hand.
Bondi Wald should have been grateful—Charlotte had spared him from rotting in prison for thirty years.
Charlotte briefly considered lighting a cigarette, but Elena wouldn't allow it.
Not because she forbade him—but because she had threatened to kick him out of bed if he ever smoked.
Charlotte chuckled to himself.
"Wasn't because I was scared or anything... it's just a bad habit for the kids to see."
The battle was over.
For Charlotte, it had been nothing more than a warm-up.
He had simply used Bondi Wald to practice his sword techniques.
Bondi Wald had felt every bit of that "practice."
After all, as the world's greatest swordsman, Charlotte had to maintain his reputation.
His eyes shifted to the ongoing fights among his crew.
He focused on one person—
Barrett.
Charlotte smirked.
Barrett had performed well.
He already had the strength of an elite vice admiral.
In just a few more years, he would likely reach admiral level.
And in ten years, he could easily match the Yonko.
By then, the Rockefeller Pirates would be truly unstoppable.
With the right training, his own children could grow into monsters as well.
Maybe one day, they'd even become the strongest pirate family in history.
Charlotte felt satisfied.
Then, his eyes narrowed.
Something caught his attention.
"Hmm?"
There was something strange about the World Pirates.
"The World Government already planted spies in them? This early...?"
Charlotte's expression darkened.
Bondi Wald had originally been captured in 1491.
Yet, the World Government was already making moves now?
Something didn't feel right.
