Chapter 199: Chapter 199: Galaxy impact
Chapter 199: Galaxy impact
Navy Headquarters.
In front of the port.
Navy Marshal Steelbone Kong, Navy Admiral Buddha Sengoku, and Navy Chief of Staff Tsuru stood solemnly alongside several major generals.
Other naval officers who were still stationed at headquarters also gathered, standing respectfully behind the high-ranking officials.
The atmosphere was heavy.
Everyone stood in formation, their expressions serious as they watched a ship slowly approaching from the distance.
Standing at the bow of the ship was Admiral Zephyr, his gaze fixed on the Navy Headquarters with a hollow expression.
His figure remained upright, but his face was haggard and gaunt, his spirit seemingly drained.
Both Sengoku and Kong narrowed their eyes upon seeing him.
They had never seen Zefa like this before—it was as if his soul had been sucked away.
The confidence he once carried was gone, leaving behind only a deep sorrow and a burning hatred.
Crunch!
The ship docked.
Zefa stepped down, his movements stiff, like a walking corpse.
Marshal Kong took a step forward, his mouth opening as if to speak.
But no words came out.
In the end, he barely managed to utter two words.
"My condolences."
After saying those words, Kong lowered his head in silence, as though even speaking them had drained his strength.
Zefa raised his head to meet Kong's gaze.
His eyes were empty, without a single ripple of emotion.
Sengoku approached next.
"Zefa… we failed you. The navy failed you. We couldn't protect your family."
As he spoke, Sengoku lowered his head, tears slipping down his face.
Zefa turned to him, but his expression remained unchanged.
He wanted to cry, but there were no tears left.
Tsuru also stepped forward.
"We have already tracked down the pirates responsible for your family's deaths. Garp has captured them. Justice will be served."
She spoke softly, then looked away, unable to bear the sight of Zefa's devastation.
For the first time, Zefa's empty gaze shifted.
A murderous aura surged from his body.
After a long silence, his voice finally broke the air.
"I want to see them one last time."
Kong nodded without a word and turned around, leading the way.
A group of hundreds of naval officers followed in complete silence.
They arrived at an open space.
Two coffins lay before them—one large, one small. The lids had been left open, allowing Zefa to see his loved ones one final time.
At that moment, Zefa's last shred of control snapped.
"AHHHHHHHH!!!"
A heart-wrenching scream tore through Marineford.
The sound was so full of anguish that it sent shivers down the spines of those present.
Every navy officer turned away, unable to bear the sight.
Even the most hardened veterans couldn't hold back their tears.
Zefa collapsed onto his knees, clutching the coffin.
He wailed for what felt like an eternity.
Even when his tears ran dry, his grief did not.
Kong sighed deeply at the sight.
"Let's go… leave him alone."
He waved a hand, and the officers silently followed, leaving Zefa to grieve in solitude.
Alone in the open space, Zefa remained kneeling.
His wife and three-year-old child… gone.
His hatred for pirates burned like an eternal flame.
Snap! Snap! Snap!
His fists clenched so hard that his knuckles cracked.
"Why?! WHY?! WHY DID THIS HAPPEN TO ME?!"
His voice rose into a chilling roar.
"I swore never to kill… 'Don't Kill Admiral'… Hahahaha!"
His laughter turned manic.
"BULLSHIT! KILL! KILL! KILL!!!"
In the distance, Kong watched Zefa through the glass of his office, feeling a sharp pang of pain in his chest.
He knew—
The Zefa they once knew was gone.
—
New World.
Garp stood at the bow of the dog-headed warship, his gaze fixed on a deserted island ahead.
"Are you certain those pirates are here?"
His voice was grim.
"Yes, Vice Admiral! Intelligence confirms it. These pirates knew they had killed an admiral's family and didn't dare set foot on an inhabited island. There's an 80% chance they're hiding here."
The adjutant frowned, looking at the island.
Garp closed his eyes.
His Observation Haki expanded, scanning the entire island.
In a split second, he locked onto several living presences.
"They're here."
Garp took off his justice cloak and let it fall behind him.
His muscles tensed.
"Shave!"
With a single step, he vanished from the ship.
The sheer force of his departure left a gaping hole in the deck.
Above the island—
Garp appeared midair, towering over the land below.
His Haki-infused fist drew back.
Red and black lightning crackled around him.
"Galaxy impact!!!"
The sheer pressure from his punch distorted the very air.
On the island—
Several pirates looked up at the sky, their faces turning ashen.
Their eyes widened in sheer horror as they saw death descending upon them.
"HELP—"
BOOOOM!!!
Garp's fist struck the island.
The entire landmass shattered beneath his raw power.
The earth rippled like ocean waves, surging outward in destructive shockwaves.
Even the warship in the distance was shaken, nearly capsizing from the impact.
As the dust settled, not a single pirate remained conscious.
Garp descended, landing amongst the rubble.
He casually picked up six unconscious bodies, expressionless.
Then—
Using Moonwalk, he leapt back toward the warship.
He dropped the criminals onto the deck.
"Lock them up. We'll deliver them to Headquarters. Let Zefa decide their fate."
The adjutant nodded, taking the pirates into custody.
Garp walked toward his recliner without another word, lying down as if nothing had happened.
Meanwhile—
The destroyed island rumbled ominously.
The navy officers turned their heads, their eyes widening.
The landmass, once a solid island, collapsed into the sea.
Waves surged violently, forcing the warship to steer away.
The island was gone—reduced to nothing.
A single punch had wiped it from existence.
The marines aboard the ship gulped, staring at Garp with newfound fear and respect.
They finally understood—
The title of 'Hero of the Navy' was not just for show.
Without strength, no one could be a hero in this world.
