Chapter 86: [86] Buggy the Clown
Buggy the Clown.
An intern aboard the Pirate King's ship, sworn brother of Red-Haired Shanks, a scumbag who shelled civilian towns, bullied the weak, and slaughtered the innocent—a real pirate, through and through.
And yet, just because he got caught up with Monkey D. Luffy during the Impel Down incident, he somehow got whitewashed.
From there, his reputation soared. First, he became one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and later, with the backing of Mihawk and Crocodile—his so-called Emperor Dads—he rose to the level of a Yonko.
He even indirectly caused the death of Marine officer T. Penn, a man known for his unshakable sense of justice, all because of bounties placed on Marines.
This is some next-level crime pays, justice dies nonsense.
Absolutely insane.
Standing beside the dejected Aphelandra, Sora turned to her with a smile.
"Come on, I'll take you there."
"Really?" Aphelandra's eyes lit up.
"Of course," he chuckled softly, placing a hand on her shoulder. In an instant, they vanished in a flash of lightning, streaking toward Buggy's pirate ship.
...
Aboard the Clown Pirates' ship—
"Boss Buggy!"
"That merchant ship's full of women... and they're all beauties! Just like Big Sis Alvida!"
Cabaji, the chief of staff, was staring through a telescope, eyes turned to hearts as he watched the women aboard the Divine Slave. He looked like he was about to leap across and drag some of them back.
"All beauties like me?" Alvida, sipping wine on a deck lounger, raised an eyebrow. She got up, snatched the telescope from Cabaji, and looked out across the water.
Since eating the Smooth-Smooth Fruit and slimming down, she hadn't seen anyone who could rival her in looks. Even Boa Hancock, famed across the seas for her beauty, didn't intimidate her anymore—Alvida had full confidence in herself now.
Then she spotted Nami.
Her eyes locked on the familiar face, and for a moment she froze—then broke into a grin.
She'd only stuck around with this red-nosed clown to find Straw Hat Luffy. And now, seeing one of his crew aboard that ship, she thought she'd finally tracked him down.
She turned to Buggy, who was stuffing his face.
"Buggy. One of the Straw Hat crew is on that ship."
"Huh?" Buggy blinked, flew over to the rail, and grabbed the telescope from her.
"That damn thief-cat Nami!!!"
"Straw Hat Luffy... I've finally caught you!"
His face twisted with rage. He had come to these waters in search of treasure, having heard the Marines had recently been near Water 7. Originally, he just wanted to rob a merchant ship—but to run into his old nemesis? That was fate.
He still remembered how Nami and Luffy had launched him into the sky last time, and how much pain he suffered when his shrunken body landed.
He had to settle this score.
But after a long look, he couldn't spot Luffy—only Nami.
Just as he was growing suspicious, he saw a figure leap from the ship—a woman flying through the air, heading straight for them.
Moments later, Nami and another woman followed suit, soaring toward the Clown Pirates' ship.
"Captain Buggy! Nami and the others... they're flying toward us!"
Moji, the first mate, looked on in disbelief. Not only could they fly, but they were coming straight at them?
"They're really flying?" Alvida grabbed the telescope again to confirm.
Sure enough, Nami and her companions were airborne.
Then, another figure stepped out on the deck of the opposing ship—a man.
Her breath caught in her throat.
"That's..."
She froze.
"That's the Godslayer... Sora..."
"What did you say?" Buggy gave her a confused look.
Pale and stunned, Alvida pointed toward the Divine Slave.
"Sora the Godslayer... he's on that ship..."
A name that brought instant dread.
Sora, the Godslayer, with a bounty of 1.5 billion Berries. Alvida had long heard of him.
She had a weakness for powerful men—and Sora was powerful, handsome, and deadly.
He'd killed Celestial Dragons. Assassinated two kings of World Government nations. Robbed ships carrying the Heavenly Tribute. Stormed a Marine base and killed its commanding officer.
And now, they had unknowingly provoked him.
She felt a shiver of pure fear. She wanted nothing more than to club Buggy over the head then and there. If it hadn't been for his greed over the merchant ship's treasures, they wouldn't be in this mess.
"Sora the Godslayer!!!"
"That guy with the 1.5 billion bounty?!" Cabaji and Moji gasped.
"1.5 billion!!!" Buggy screamed. His body instantly exploded into separate floating parts, spinning wildly in the air.
As someone who once served under the Pirate King, Buggy knew exactly what that number meant.
Anyone with a 1.5 billion bounty wasn't just a rising star—they were a contender for the One Piece.
He thought he'd found a fat sheep to rob, only to realize it was a dragon in disguise.
"Turn the ship around! Don't let them catch us!"
"Get us out of here!!"
"Yes, Captain!" Cabaji and Moji dashed off to issue orders.
They knew—if Sora caught up to them, they were dead.
Alvida, still staring through the telescope, broke into a cold sweat, her face ghost-white.
With a bitter smile, she muttered, "It's already too late."
Because Sora had already turned into a bolt of lightning, passing Nami and the others as he flew straight toward them.
"What did you say!?"
Buggy's face twisted in terror, sweat pouring down his brow.
Before he could even react—
A flash of blue lightning landed behind Alvida.
Sora and Aphelandra stood there in the flesh.
