Chapter 76: [76] Invasion of Enies Lobby
Enies Lobby.
At the Second Gate of Justice—
"Kashii, what is that thing?"
The giant guard Oimo pointed toward the sky at the Ark Maxim and asked the giant beside him.
"Oimo… That looks like a flying ship," Kashii replied uncertainly as he stared at the distant vessel.
A nearby Lawhound Unit soldier overheard the two giants and followed their gaze. The moment he spotted the massive ark suspended in the sky, his eyes widened in horror and cold sweat poured from his face.
Only two people in the world possessed flying ships: Golden Lion Shiki and the Godslayer, Sora.
And either one of them—
Was far beyond what they could handle.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!!"
"Godslayer Sora has arrived!!!"
"All personnel, prepare for battle!! Repeat, all personnel, prepare for battle!!!"
Screeching alarms rang out across Enies Lobby through the transponder snail broadcast system, urging every staff member to gear up for combat.
However, despite the alerts putting everyone on high alert…
There was one critical issue—
The Ark Maxim was floating a hundred meters in the air.
The guards had no idea how to even begin attacking it.
—
Tower of Justice.
Spandam's Office.
The CP9 commander Spandam flinched the moment he heard the sirens.
"What?! How the hell is Sora here?"
"Is he trying to attack Enies Lobby?!"
"That bastard's always after the World Government... I'm definitely on his list."
"No way—I need to hide!"
Without hesitation, Spandam grabbed his elephant saber and the golden transponder snail used to summon a Buster Call. Then he dashed toward the underground escape tunnel.
"Chappa chappa chappa chappa chappa! Jabra, Kumadori—looks like the commander ran off," Fukurou said after arriving in the office using Geppo, exchanging glances with Jabra and Kumadori.
"Tch, that coward," Jabra muttered in disgust.
He'd had enough of Spandam long ago.
"What do we do now, Jabra?" Fukurou asked again, eyes still locked on the floating Ark.
The man up there had a 1.5 billion bounty and had annihilated CP0 members. Against him, CP9 had zero chance.
"Yo yo yoo... the commander gave the order, so we fight to the death," Kumadori said, his voice slow and theatrical.
"Tch."
Jabra spat on the ground.
"Wait!"
Suddenly, Fukurou, who had been peering through binoculars, gasped.
"I just saw Kalifa on that ship!"
"What did you say?!" Jabra and Kumadori shouted in unison, stunned.
"Oh my god—Sora kissed her! And Kalifa didn't even resist!" Fukurou added, completely shocked.
Jabra and Kumadori were left speechless.
They never imagined Kalifa had already been taken by Sora.
—
Meanwhile, aboard the Ark Maxim—
"Sora…"
Kalifa, dressed in a tight black dress with fishnet stockings over her legs, rubbed her drowsy head and walked up to him.
She had exhausted herself the night before, trying to please him with everything she had. That effort left her extremely tired, and she had only just woken up after a long sleep, her head still hazy.
But the moment she looked down and saw Enies Lobby—she was startled.
"What are you doing here?"
"I already said I'd go with you."
This was the CP9 base. Sora's sudden arrival couldn't mean anything good.
"Relax, Kalifa," Sora said, pulling her into his embrace with a grin. "When I make a promise, I don't break it."
"I'm only here to get something that'll make you stronger."
He came to Enies Lobby for two reasons:
One, to seize the Paramecia-class Bubble-Bubble Fruit in Spandam's possession.
Two, to continue training Kalifa.
Paramecia-type fruits could become incredibly powerful when developed right. There was no way he'd let this one slip away.
As for the two Zoan fruits? He didn't care much about those.
Seeing that Sora wasn't here to kill Jabra or the others, Kalifa relaxed and leaned obediently into his arms.
After last night, she'd learned—
The more submissive she was, the more gentle Sora became.
The more she resisted, the more forceful and domineering he turned.
Curious, Kalifa asked, "What exactly here is supposed to make me stronger?"
"A Paramecia-type Devil Fruit," Sora answered, then pulled her into a deep kiss.
A few minutes later, he released her, her eyes hazy and her breath uneven. Looking down at Jabra and the others, he chuckled.
"Don't you want to say hi?"
Kalifa covered her mouth and instinctively licked her lips, feeling unsatisfied.
She couldn't deny it—Sora's handsome face and skilled technique made every kiss intoxicating.
She wanted more.
But Jabra and the others were staring. She had to suppress the urge.
Kalifa turned to the CP9 members below and said, "Let me handle them."
She jumped down from the Ark, stepping on air with Geppo as she flew toward the tower.
"Kalifa?! Why are you with Sora?" Jabra shouted, stunned.
"For some reasons, I'll be staying with him from now on," Kalifa replied calmly. "Don't fight him—he's far beyond your league. If you try, I might not be able to save you."
Landing a short distance away from the three, she spoke gently but firmly.
The next moment, Sora appeared beside her in a flash of lightning.
What kind of ability is that?!
All three—Jabra, Kumadori, and Fukurou—were visibly shaken.
Looking into the empty office, Sora smiled and asked Fukurou, "Where's Spandam?"
"Chappa chappa chappa chappa chappa—the commander ran to the underground tunnel," Fukurou answered bluntly.
Jabra and Kumadori glared at him.
"Shut your damn mouth!"
Fukurou immediately zipped up his lips.
Satisfied with the answer, Sora chuckled softly and disappeared again.
He suddenly found CP9 to be… kind of entertaining.
Once he was gone, Fukurou unzipped his lips slightly and asked Kalifa,
"Are you really going to stay with him?"
Kalifa nodded confidently.
"Kalifa… what was that ability he just used?" Jabra asked, frowning.
The way Sora appeared in a flash of lightning—it was nothing like Soru.
Adjusting her glasses, Kalifa replied flatly,
"A top-tier Logia Devil Fruit power—Rumble."
