Chapter 94: A Proactive Retreat!

After doing as Dr. Kureha had asked on Drum Peak and promising to return in two years at most, Chopper, at the strong insistence of cow 1 and the other Kung-Fu Dugongs, reluctantly agreed to leave Drum Island with the Red Nose Pirates.

After leaving Drum Island, the "Thor" charged directly into the Calm Belt and began to race through it.

In less than two days, the "Thor" had carried Buggy and the others back to the floating Amazon Archipelago.

Ever since Hancock's younger sister, Sandersonia, had obtained the Float-Float Fruit brought by Buggy, not long after Buggy left with Hancock, Amazon Lily had risen into the sky. Before Buggy returned to Kuja City with Hancock, Rusukaina and several surrounding islands had all been moved into the sky by Sandersonia's ability, completely connecting with Amazon Lily.

In other words, once they encountered a battle where their strength was not comparable, everyone except Mihawk and the less important Hawkins and Paula would be the main targets of a siege, especially Law.

For this same reason, Buggy had specifically chosen the Kung-Fu Dugongs as mascots, to prepare for various sudden situations.

"Paula, I haven't fully grasped what the captain means, but I believe he would never make a disadvantageous choice," Daz Bonez was a staunch supporter of Buggy.

"Too few people, too many ability users. Is that it?" Mihawk asked, staring at Buggy after Daz Bonez had finished speaking.

"Yes. To be honest, I'm even beginning to doubt whether the 'elite troop policy' was a wrong choice in the first place," Buggy said, looking at Mihawk with a sense of relief from being understood.

"Brother Buggy, your decision was not wrong. If it weren't for that bastard called Dr. Indigo, we wouldn't have reached the point where we have to lay low for a while," Hancock also said considerately.

"Although Dr. Indigo didn't accurately state our pirate crew's greatest reliance, the secret of Devil Fruits definitely couldn't be kept. And I had already guessed the series of consequences that would arise from this secret, which is why I rushed to open the Northeast Tunnel in the first place.
