Chapter 17: You Only Deserve to Be Dog Food!
THUD! THUD! THUD!
Footsteps landed, and soon, Sothis's subordinates formed a circle around Alucard, who remained seated in the center.
"Captain, it seems there's only this one person on the ship," a subordinate whispered into Sothis's ear.
"I know. This guy deliberately lured us here." Sothis's face was grim. To remain so calm in this situation, he was either an overwhelmingly powerful expert or an idiot. In that case, he'd test him first.
"Kill him!" Sothis waved his hand, and countless subordinates swarmed forward, armed with katanas, axes, bayonets—all sorts of weapons.
SPLASH!
Blood exploded like fireworks. Alucard's body was pierced by countless blades, yet he maintained his cross-legged posture, hands clasped over his knees, blood dripping from his lips, but still smiling.
"We did it... huh!?"
Sothis's men were about to cheer when suddenly, a laugh that sounded like it came from hell echoed in their ears. "Heh, heheheh..."
Suddenly, a blond pirate who had impaled Alucard with a katana felt something pressing against his forehead. Before he could look up to see what it was, he heard a "BANG!", and his skull burst open.
To the stunned gaze of everyone, Alucard, whose body was pierced by at least five weapons, stood up from his chair as if nothing had happened. He turned abruptly, his gun muzzle sweeping past the eyes of the other pirates surrounding him, one by one.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Impossible... Is he... immortal?"
Sothis was a relatively well-known pirate in the North Blue, but he had never seen a monster that could sustain such grievous injuries and still stand up to fight as if unharmed.
"Caliber nearly 13mm, equipped with specially consecrated silver bullets!" Alucard used the virus to force the blades embedded in his body out. He cocked Casull, a grin curving his lips. "No one survives after taking a shot from this."
"Captain, I think I remember... a pirate hunter who's recently become quite famous in the North Blue..."
At this moment, beside Casull, a short but extremely bizarre individual, who used a giant hammer as a weapon, swallowed hard, his face filled with dread. "The pirate hunter who annihilated the Bahade Pirates, possesses an unkillable ability, and uses a large white pistol."
Hearing the name Bahade Pirates in the North Blue was like immediately thinking of Garp when someone mentioned the Marines.
Bahade was practically a representative figure among North Blue pirates. Rumors of his death had gradually spread, but the identity of his killer remained unknown.
'Unkillable, white pistol... isn't that this guy right in front of me?'
"What are you doing?"
Alucard suddenly spoke, "The enemy is right in front of you. What should you do now? You should sever my head, dig out my heart, end my life! If you don't do that, you don't deserve to be called pirates!"
"This... this guy..."
Sothis's tongue began to tremble. If this person truly was the one who killed Bahade, then he was absolutely no match.
Alucard clearly caught the fear on Sothis's face.
Alucard, who had been filled with excitement moments ago, now showed deep disappointment, his eyes widening slightly as he spoke with resentment, "That look just now... were you afraid? Are you really afraid?"
Sothis couldn't help but take a step back, but hearing Alucard's words and with so many subordinates present, how could he, as captain, lose face? So Sothis forcefully stepped forward, feigning toughness. "Don't, don't be ridiculous! I'm Sothis Kurisia! How could I possibly be afraid!?"
"Then why aren't you attacking faster?! You... wild dog!" Alucard's aura suddenly erupted. In less than a blink of an eye, he vanished from his spot.
Suddenly, Sothis felt a strange sensation behind him, as if something had appeared there. When Sothis and his men mustered the courage to look back, they saw Alucard staring them down with his distinctive vampire-red eyes.
Monster!
This was the unanimous thought of every member of the Sothis Pirates.
However, Alucard's face showed intense disgust. "No doubt about it. There are too many useless pirates from before the Great Pirate Era. It's necessary to clean them up!"
Alucard lashed out with a kick, sending Sothis flying to crash into the cabin door at the back of the ship. He stuck to the wall like mochi for a few seconds before slowly sliding down.
Alucard walked slowly, step by step, towards Sothis. There were still over a dozen of Sothis's subordinate pirates present, but whether from fear or knowing the immense disparity in their strength, they chose not to attack or support their captain in this moment of great crisis.
Sothis struggled to get up from the deck, but Alucard stood before him like a towering mountain.
"P-Please spare me..." Sothis stammered, his voice trembling. But this plea only made Alucard feel another surge of disgust.
"You pathetic creature, you only deserve to be dog food!" Alucard grinned maniacally. This pirate, named Sothis, was destined for a terrible end.
