The Primordial Beast of Sloth thought this was strange as the burst of negative energy did not stop the soulbounds from tightening their grasps even more. The Primordial Beast of Sloth did not know why these lesser beings were trying to sacrifice themselves and not just admit their deaths. The Primordial Beast of Sloth would have thought that the lesser beings are crazy until the Tree of Life and Death started to move.

The Tree of Life and Death suddenly created large branches burning with nether flames and also joined the embrace. The Primordial Beast of Sloth suddenly felt fear as its health was already down to the bottom and any incredibly effective attack will definitely kill it. The Primordial Beast of Sloth that is filled with unbridled rage suddenly felt fear as if the rage that was blocking its mind has vanished.

"No!" The Primordial Beast of Sloth shouted but the other soulbounds did not falter even if their bodies were already corroding due to the negative energy. Adrian himself pushed his body to the limits as he even used Nether Explosion and also chose to make his soulbounds explode as well. All of Adrian's soulbounds exploded with high amounts of nether energy that caught the Primordial Beast of Sloth off guard.

The explosion of nether energy was precise and in tune with the explosion of negative energy that the Primordial Beast of Sloth. The two energies clashed against one another and created a more potent and powerful energy explosion. Levin Cloud immediately applied Sanctuary on the Tree of Life and Death to become immune to damage as he used the roots and branches of the tree to condense the explosion of energy inside the area he will encapsulate.

"This cannot be my end!" The Primordial Beast of Sloth shouted one last time as it tried to escape but the nether chains that Charon has become made it impossible to escape. To add more, Adrian created two additional hands with the remaining focus that he has to make sure that the Primordial Beast of Sloth will not getaway.

"Die with us, you sleeping monster!" Adrian stated as Levin Cloud finally covered them entirely in a sphere of vines and roots.

A powerful explosion shook the world itself, but the condensed energy was held in place by sacrificing the summoned Tree of Life and Death. In fact, Levin Cloud himself was unable to survive because his life was tied to the Tree of Life and Death when he merged with it. The effects of Sanctuary that made the user immune to damage was cancelled as soon as the negative and nether energy mixed.

"Holy Sanctuary!" Levin Cloud shouted as he used another ability that makes the caster immune to damage.

Levin Cloud felt it as the chaotic energy that was created by the explosion of the two large quantities of energy destroyed the Tree of Life and Death. Levin Cloud hanged on as long as he can to make sure that this harmful chaotic energy does not scatter or else those at the other end of the portals will also be swept up.

"I will sacrifice my life if I have to!" Levin Cloud shouted as he created layers upon layers of vines and roots to cover the original sphere he created.

A secondary explosion from the fused chaotic energy ensued which Levin Cloud was able to mitigate but that also came at the price of his existence. The explosion was able to be contained but the Tree of Life and Death turned into particles of light. The shockwave of the contained energy then happened and swept the land. The shockwave was so powerful that it flattened all trees in a hundred-mile radius.

The Greater Demons that manned the gate immediately shut it out as soon as the survivors of the fight entered. This was the command given by Adrian as he knew that they needed to sacrifice a lot to save the few. A lot of those that managed to retreat to the portals were NPCs as the players wanted to make sure that they remain alive. NPCs cannot be revived like players as they do not have spawn points which is why the latter always decided to save the former first in case of unfortunate happenings.

The smoke and silence in the battlefield could be seen and heard. The Primordial Beast of Sloth has finally been defeated but at a great cost. All the warriors that survived were less than 10% of the original army that came. Almost all of the players died as only the remaining 5% of their count could be seen. The NPCs saw how the people they once called the Cursed Ones were the ones that actually gave up their life to save theirs.

The players did not know that this act would become the start of how players will be treated differently. The Greater Demons tried to check and see if anyone else was left behind and opened the portal once again. The remaining players also joined the search while some made sure to pick up the gear that dropped from the other player's death. The items of the dead players need to be returned back to them.

"Nothing remained! We can at least pick up their stuff." Ain stated as he was head of the rescue operation since he was the quickest among all of the guild leaders.
