(Adrian POV) Your journey continues with My Virtual Library Empire

This Lady Goldenclaw that suddenly arrived is suspicious from my perspective. I cannot feel her aura as if she was a corpse that felt no emotion. An undead has more emotions seeping out compared to her which I found strange. Also, the guards behind her do not look like they are native from the central continent.

"I am just merely stating my opinion on this matter, High Wizard Dore. How is he even going to prove his innocence when all of the findings tell that he is the perpetrator of the crimes? I am actually quite astounded that he even came here to try and prove his innocence when there is none." Lady Goldenclaw stated

"I am innocent, and I can prove it without even breaking a sweat. I will even reveal the one who really orchestrated this entire thing." Piggy Bank stated with a confident look.

The change in Lady Goldenclaw's face was quick but I managed to see it. She had a look of being amused before she put on the face of someone shocked. Piggy Bank might not notice it, but he unknowingly released some of his aura. The aura that is chosen by a god related to merchantry.

"I await to see your despair." Lady Goldenclaw stated as she proceeded to the main hall.

I looked at the people under Lady Goldenclaw and I can tell that they are not in the profession of being a bodyguard. They reek of blood and killing intent, but they are incredibly skilled in hiding it. They are not people that have the aura of a person that would protect others. There is also an unpleasant smell coming from one of them which had a large, bandaged case behind her.

The young merchant named Sir Peterson backed down as well and headed to the main hall. It seems that he is representing their merchant guild branch since his grandfather has been killed. That one seems innocent and is only in a state of exhaustion from a lot of factors that happened. Piggy Bank also knows this which is why he did not confront that NPC since the fewer enemies we have then the better.

We did not head to the main hall as we were sent to another adjacent room. It seems that Piggy Bank's hearing is not till later while some of the high officials discussed what they needed to do. This is fine as I can see that the High Wizard Dore is troubled. We need to cool down as well since Piggy Bank might faint at this rate.

"I think we might have stepped inside a trap." High Wizard Dore stated as he created a wind funnel that acted like a barrier that prevented sound from escaping the room.

"They summoned the entire high officials for the hearing. I learned this from one of my close colleagues when they secretly slipped in this note." Piggy Bank stated as he gave the note to High Wizard Dore.

The two of them might not have noticed but there were other things that are installed in the room that can be used to spy on us. Fortunately, I can still talk to my soulbounds, and I told Sirius to block them using his shadows. I would have opted to destroy them, but they might be very expensive magical artifacts. The merchant guild knows when to claim and how to claim reimbursements.

"You should be calm since you have the ultimate way to prove your innocence." I stated via the messenger towards Piggy Bank.

"I am not sure that will work because I have never tried it before. Do you think that this will work when we are at the center of the merchant guild?" Piggy Bank stated.

"You need to have faith that it will work or else your head will be on the line. Nevertheless, I will wreck this place if they come at you so do not worry. You will pay for the damages that I do since I cannot pay for the unfortunate collateral of me saving you." I replied.

"Please let it finish peacefully." Piggy Bank suddenly blurted out which made the High Wizard Dore ask what he is mumbling about.

While the two of them were trying to find a way to make sure that this hearing is a success without any destruction, I checked the room and found all the places where the artifacts are placed. I acted like a cat and accidentally push them over to the ground. I even poked it a few times to make sure that I am interested in it as a toy.

I continued this playful interaction until another clerk suddenly came to fetch us with a tired look. It seems that me knocking down some stuff prompted them to get us early. I happily jumped back towards the arms of Piggy Bank. I have got to say that his chunky arms are the perfect fit for tiny animals.

"Please follow me and make sure to bring your pet with you, Branch Leader Piggy Bank." The clerk stated as she hurriedly closed the room tightly with a lock and key after we went out of it.

I even saw the clerk look at me with an expression of exhaustion and disbelief. She might have been the one tasked to check on us using the observation artifacts that I accidentally toppled over. Still, I was bored for an hour which is why I did that. Being in this small and cute form could be very tiring for my mental state so I needed something to do to pass the time.

"The high officials are ready for your now, Branch Leader Piggy Bank. I hope that they rule in your favor." The clerk stated as she made an expression that seems to say that she knows of his circumstances as well.

"Thank you. Please make sure to go to a safe space as we do not know what might happen here. Maybe take a break at a nearby café." Piggy Bank whispered to the clerk as she nodded in appreciation.
