Omega Complex

The bright full moon hangs over the dark late night sky while the dust whips around the air, chunks of the castle fall down around the girls with a massive crash. Sky’s eyes glow to match the glare of Negative’s dull eyes.

“Well I guess I need to try a bit harder against you, I just hope you can keep up with me”, Sky says before her eyes flash a brilliant deep blue, she stares deep into Negative's deadpan eyes.

"That curse is stronger than you thought huh, just unable to hold back the temptation and now you're stuck being it's slave. Not an ounce of you is left, what a pity", Sky says before swiftly turning her back to Negative and slowly strolls her way back into the ruined castle.

Negative slowly reaches her arm out to Sky, "WAIT!" she shouts out in desperation. The sheer shock of a voice suddenly freezes Sky in her tracks.

"So the woman can still speak after all, I thought you were completely gone in there. Turns out you have some intelligence left", Sky quickly notes as she continues walking into the castle as Negative looks on as she fights an internal struggle.

In a flash Negative's eyes glow a bright maroon gleam as she charges up a chaotic jumble of plasma before firing the unstable ball at Sky, the ball burns the ground as it hurtles through the air but before it can reach Sky, Rodoxa appears in a flash and defuses the ball with little effort.

"You didn't need to help me, I could handle this myself", Sky quietly says to Rodoxia. "Oh excuse me, maybe we shouldn't be making so much noise, we are doing a little something called HIDING, HUMPH! We don't need Xenon and more importantly Iris finding us here", Rodoxia scowles intently at Sky.

“Do you really think that rundown god Iris really stands a chance against us anymore, she’s too cowardly to even show her true self anymore. Do you really think that’s something we should fear?”, Sky swiftly responded calmly as the night’s gentle breeze swept between the girls.

The air stands still for what feels like an eternity before the girls break their sight on each other, “Oh just forget it then Sky, it’s your own fault if we fail this then. Meet me in the tower when you’re done with her, we have plans to carry out”, Rodoxa says as her eyes glow a vibrant green and manifests a small portal behind her. It seems to rip the fabric of space as the portal warps the air around them.

Sky intently and frantically scans the castle grounds before she locks her eyes onto Nexie who is staring at the group, “Oh you!”, Sky shouts out. “No no no! You’re not going to make me babysit the curse girl here”, Nexie frustratingly yells out before teleporting in front of the castle.

While remaining completely unphased Sky walks towards Rodoxa’s portal, “Blah blah, you’re always the one to complain when things don’t go your way” Sky says as her voice fades through the portal.

“So um… no hard feelings about before right?”, Nexie quietly asks Negative who has remained motionless, staring at seemingly nothing. “Well I see you’re not much of a talker anymore”, Nexie added before crouching on the ground next to her sulking her face in her hands.

Dust shutters down from the ceiling of the castle's tower as the portal rips open in the room, “... so I just think that this is why we need some better beds around here, or perhaps an actual kitchen”, Sky says while jogging backwards through the portal with Rodoxa following behind in a normal walk.

“Alright, but why Sky? We don’t ever need to sleep, let alone eat. Why would we ever need such things?”, Rodoxa asks in a bewildered tone before sitting in a ruined chair in the corner of the room.

Sky rolls her eyes with annoyance before trotting to a collapsed pile of bricks on the other side of the room, plopping down on the stack. "Out of all the places he had to put us, why here? It's like he wants us to despise him", Sky grovelingly mutters while she tosses chunks of bricks across the room.

"It's called being inconspicuous, and you better start getting a clue about it. Although I fear this timeline has already been compromised. I've noticed that Xenon is already showing a certain awareness to this. Even though Negative isn't ready, I feel as if we need to go through with acquiring Rayen already", Rodoxa methodically explains while flipping a battered golden coin in the air before swiping with her other hang to snag it on her palm.

She stares into the coin's face, the profile of Xenon's face gazes out of the side of the coin,"Perhaps if we draw our cards right this time we could succeed in silencing both Xenon and her annoying sister before they cause of more annoyance", Rodoxa says as she continues to fiddle with the coin.

"We're doing what now? You never said that this would be about indiscriminate killings. They're just humans, it's not as if they're an actual threat", Sky says as she hops from the pile of bricks.

"It's just the reality of squashing the uprising and you know that. We will move to take Rayen back in one week, any longer and she might gain enough strength to be truly troublesome. Then after her we will move to recover the third runaway. Don’t lose sight of the goal Sky, this has been an extremely long time coming. You better not shame us", Rodoxa says while she warps out of the room with another portal.

The town's castle courtyard sits still in the midday sun while Xenon slowly focuses her strength. A faint aura emanates around her before her eyes fade into a deep red. She outstretches a hand in front of her to summon a small plasma orb and intently focuses on it. As her aura grows the orb itself begins to twitch as more energy is forced inside it.

"Oh hey Xenon!", Rayen suddenly and excitedly says to her while giving her such a shock that the orb completely destabilizes and fades away.

"Wait what? Rayen?! How did you manage to enter the castle?", Xenon asks with a shaken level of shock.

Rayen's eyes widened, causing her to get stumped on the perplexing question, “Well umm, I kinda just popped over to you cause I just wanted to", Rayen says with a small innocent smile.

"Well alright, but this training is going to be far more serious than anything you learned from Neon", Xenon says while kneeling down to Rayen. "Please, I wanna be as strong as Negative. I just want her to be happy again, so don't go easy on me just cause I'm a kid" Rayen says as her face shifts to a straight confident glare.

Xenon lets in a deep calm breath as she focuses her energy, and suddenly her iris mixes into equal swirls of red, blue and yellow. When her form is locked in, a small shockwave is generated from Xenon's body and sweeps across the grass of the courtyard.

"Whoa! I've never seen something like that before!", Rayen says in a total awe.

"This is something I like to call Stage 1. Not only can you seamlessly use all three complexes at the same time, but it also boosts their power at the same time. Although there is no saying you will even get this because it requires mastery of all 3 complexes", Xenon says before powering down her form.

A light twinkle shines from one of Xenon's eyes as a razor sharp wind roars through the air causing a small slice to cut into Rayen's arm. Shocked and startled, she scampers back while blood slowly drips from the wound. Her eyes quickly glow a deep red as a whirlwind of air twirls around her hand.

“Spatial burst!”, Rayen shouts out as she releases the space bending air towards Xenon. She jolts her hand up in a flash to condense the burst that causes her to be blown back to the far end of the courtyard. Xenon’s hand twitches from the pain of the new scuffs on her hand.

“Well that didn’t seem to work one bit, you’re still gushing all over your arm, and with no complex in sight. *SIGH* Well let me address that wound and start at a slightly lower start”, Xenon says while she lowers her hand back down.

“Just look for the big gate up the path, even YOU can’t miss it, eh I swear Xenon thinks I must be stupid. Well here it is, Neon’s great Manor. I Never thought I’d be able to come to this place", Sigma says while he brings his hand up to the gate.

"You don't need to bother knocking, state your business with the manor", Ruby says while she looks down from a watch tower next to the gate.

Sigma calmly clears his throat, "I'm Sigma of the Castle of Timia, lady Xenon has requested that I have a very important conversation with lady Neon", Sigma confidently yells out to Ruby .

"You don't need to yell so loud Sigma, if you use your eyes you can see that I'm right here", Neon says from the other side of the gate while she welcomes Sigma in.

"Oh lady Neon my deepest apologies, may we speak inside the manor?", Sigma asks while in a stiff waist bow. "Alright follow me, this must be important that it must get in the way of my training", Neon replies back.

The shining blade strikes down as it clashes with Blue's sword. Holly is sat on the grass close to them, she plays with a small healing orb in her hand while she occasionally glances onto the two of them. They exchange more blows before she notices Sigma out of the corner of her eye.

Crystal's face suddenly flushes up, she freezes in her tracks at the sight of Sigma and runs over to Holly. "Holly, Holly! Umm does my hair look frizzy, is my face dirty. Please don't say I have a new mole!", Crystal quickly asks Holly while being in a big fluster.

"Oooh… I think you look great, kinda not sure why you're so worried Crystal. Why don't you go and talk to him, it would make you feel so much better", Holly cheerily says with a bright warm smile while she hops to her feet.

"Yeah right, as if I am. They've been having me train since the early morning, I need to clean up right now", Crystal says in a panic while she runs into the manor.

“The end will come when the great storm rages upon the ones that you care deeply for “, Neon says to herself over and over again, she hangs her head low, “So you’re saying we have just one week huh? That’s not right though, from Rayen’s memories we had for more time than that. Could they have found out about us already?!” Neon frustratingly murmurs to herself while she taps her fingers on her desk.

“It is beyond me how lady Xenon was able to figure this out but her warnings never should be taken lightly. She also requested that I train with Crystal, to open her dormant potential as quickly as possible. With Sapphire out of town for the month we’re out of luck for any extra help. It would take more time to get her than would benefit us in the long run, but hey keep your chin up. I don’t care about how strong some so-called gods claim to be, with so many of us it shouldn’t be a problem”, Sigma says with a wide, cocky smile on his face.

Sigma quickly bursts out of the door only to suddenly knock into Crystal who was running by the door, they both fall to the ground from the resulting clash, “Ahh dammit watch where you’re going”, Crystal says while holding her hands to her face. “Well I guess you didn’t take that long to find”, Sigma replies back to her.

Suddenly Crystal’s eyes begin to widen from hearing Sigma’s voice, “Ohhh ummm, so hey… how are you doing”, Crystal nervously says while she tries to avoid eye contact. “By request of lady Xenon I’m going to be your new teacher, come along we still have so much to go over”, Sigma says before grabbing Crystal’s arm while dragging her out of the manor.

Crystal’s hand goes limp while her face flushes a deep rosy red, “his hand feels so hardy and strong, stronger than I imagined”, Crystal thinks to herself before he lets go of her arm. “So what do you know about the Rose complex so far?”, Sigma quickly asks as he crosses his arms in front of her.

She stares off into the grass gently blowing in the breeze, zoning out in deep thought as if Sigma isn’t even there. She gently clenches her fists while she digs her shows into the dirt, “Hey are you alright Crystal? HEY!”, Sigma says to Crystal as he rests his hand on her shoulder.

“The Rose what? I just got here I.. I don’t know what you mean”, Crystal nervously says while she fidgets her fingers together. *SIGH* “Well, it looks like you still have a lot to learn. Xenon did say it wouldn’t be easy. Alright come one I’ll show you”, Sigma says to Crystal with a joyful smile.

"Cosmic? What's that?", Rayen asks with a curious wide-eyed stare to Xenon. "Why yes, I was able to gaze upon such a power used by Rodoxa. It seems as if it's better than plasma in every way and could be the ticket to win against them", Xenon says while looking at a small plasma ball gently hovering above her hands.

Slowly Rayen begins to raise her hand up, "So um… wouldn't this be enough though?", Rayen makes further inquiries before a large pillar of plasma fires straight up from her hand and into the clouds above.

"Knock it off, you're going to cause them to come even earlier than we're predicting, and besides that won’t do any good, you might as well simply be a fly in their faces with power like yours”, Xenon says to Rayen with a serious straight face.

Rayen steps back for a moment, “Well they shouldn’t be too hard right? We really did a number on them last time, it couldn’t be that difficult to get rid of them for real this time”, Rayen says with a confident smile to Xenon.

*sigh* “I really do wish it was that easy. You really do have immense strength but you need to learn how to control such an impressive power or it will all just go to waste. Now you see that boulder on the other side of the courtyard? I need you to simply and gently lift it into the air using that ground control of yours”, Xenon says while crossing her arms behind her back.

A strong gust of wind swirls around Rayen’s body as her eye glows a dark maroon red while her hair whips around in the air. The wind gradually settles as she closes her focus onto the far off stone and outstretches her arm in front of her. A gentle rumble grows as the stone begins to emerge from the ground, a nervous sweat drips from Rayen’s brow before her focus strays and the rock is suddenly cracked in half by her force.

“Hehe, well at least I was able to lift it gently… that’s good enough right?”, Rayen asks while her face blushes lightly. “Do it again”, Xenon quickly says in a stern voice. “Ehh really, but I think that I should be…”, Rayen says nervously before being cut off. “Just do it! We aren’t stopping training today until you have mastered this simple skill. Now again, there are plenty more rocks around”, Xenon continues as she leans up next to a tree next to Rayen.

"So like this?", Crystal nervously asks Sigma while she cups her hands together. "That's good, now put more focus into your palms. You should be able to feel them warm up gradually", Sigma quietly says to Crystal.

Quickly Crystal's nervousness steeply increases while her hands begin to shake as her breathing intensifies, "hmmm, I can't I can't feel anything!", Crystal shouts out as she throws her hands down in frustration.

“Would you want to put your hands over mine?”, Sigma asks her with a warm quiet murmur in his voice. Initially feeling a haze of awkward flustered emotions Crystal swallows her nerves and scoots over to him cupping her hands over Sigma’s own. A warm heat quickly turns into a burn and before no time a small flame bursts into her palms.

“Good, good. Now try to keep that going, that energy needs to be balanced or the flame will collapse”, Sigma says while he watches the gentle flame in Crystal’s hands while it flickers weakly in the wind.

“Oh oh look! It’s staying!”, Crystal shouts with joy before the small flame simmers out. “That’s great! Now try to do it all on your own, think of that energy you felt and let it flow through your hands”, Sigma says while keeping sharp focus on her hands.

Crystal again pulls all her focus into her hands, she feels the warmth in her hands begin to intensify before a tiny candle sized flame appears in her hands. The flame gradually grows larger as the heat from the flame starts to be too much for Crystal to bear as it feels like her hands are melting from the intensity of the power.

“That’s good Crystal, amazing in fact! You’re good to stop now, there’s no need to hurt yourself”, Sigma calmly says to Crystal. “No I can go further, I know I can! We don’t have the time to waste just being good enough”, Crystal shouts out while she begins to breathe deeper as her breath runs thin.

“If I just push myself a little further then maybe I can make a difference this time, then maybe I can actually cause the impact I have always wanted!”, Crystal thinks to herself as her eyes begin to water from the pain of the flame’s heat. The ball of fire intensifies into an unstable white hot orb.

*BOOM* Crystal is thrown back onto the ground as the newly formed ball of plasma that destroyed itself in her hands, “What was that?! You never told me about it exploding! OW” , Crystal angrily says to Sigma while she looks at her scarred hands. “I told you to keep your focus, the moment that you dropped focus this is the result. It’s not easy to use these powers”, Sigma replies with his arms crossed.

“Crystal! Are you alright? That looked like a pretty nasty blow”, Holly nervously says while she begins to heal Crystal’s hands. “Yeah I’m alright I think I just pushed things a little too far. I’m sorry Sigma, I just didn’t want to feel so useless compared to the rest of you”, Crystal says softly in disappointment.

Sigma walks over to the girls and kneels next to them on the ground, “You don’t have to worry at all, you’re learning much faster than I did with Xenon. I can feel a strong drive inside of you and it’s quickly growing stronger. How about we have dinner tonight for your milestone? Dinner will all be on me”, Sigma says while he lightly pats her shoulder.

Crystal’s face once again begins to flush a deep red and thoughts cloud her mind, “Why... why yes, I’d love that so much!”, Crystal says with her hands covering her rosy cheeks. “Well that’s good, get some rest and meet me in the courtyard at sundown. Our training is done for the day”, Sigma cheerfully replies to Crystal before he makes his way over to the manor.

“OHHH WOOOW! You just got a date Crystal! I’m sooo happy for you!” Holly says with a wide grin plastered on her face.

“No no no, it’s not! It’s.. it’s just cause, well I don’t know!”, Crystal says as she trips over all her words

"Ah okie, I can’t wait to see how pretty you make yourself for that date then!” Holly joyfully replies as she holds Crystal’s healed hands.
