Chapter 6- Another new friendship?
Ana looks at Luke, who is sitting next to her, she seems curious, so she looks at his blond hair, he has a complexion that would make many ladies envious, he doesn't look like the demons described in the books, pointed ears, sharp teeth, flat nose, his skin isn't dark either, some say black, others red, his hands don't have long, sharp nails, well he's quite tall, but not as tall as some demons are said to be, Luke notices that Ana is looking at him, as if she's curious, so he turns around out of nowhere and asks looking into Ana's eyes:
"Do you like what you see?"
This is the first eye contact they've made with each other, Ana notices Luke's green eyes, and then she looks away awkwardly and replies:
"The Wall... I've never thought of jumping, it doesn't seem that simple..."
Luke smiles, realizing that Ana has lost it, and avoiding his second question, he adds:
"Oh, back to the first question then...
"Even if you try, you won't be able to get over the wall. No one enters or leaves this house without the owners' permission."
Ana remembers that her parents do the same thing, and their house is protected by protective magic, and they are only allowed in and out if their family allows it. The same thing happens in the Beckers' house, it makes sense because Mr. Han being the Conjured Magician of Time, this could put his family at risk of a possible attack, or someone malicious, family will always be our real weakness, and they didn't think too much before attacking his family.
"Oh I see, so here we also have protective magic, it's plausible, but that must be wearing for Mr. Han, all protective magic has an energy demand, and not only that, your Father protects the Gate of Hell, it takes a lot of magicians to control that portal, it must be extremely exhausting."
Luke confirms:
"Yes, all magic has a cost, but it must be interesting to be able to use magic, right?"
Ana grimaces, and retorts without thinking. At the end of her speech, she speaks in a lower tone:
"Well, I don't like practicing, it's too stressful... and even more so being forced....."
But Luke can hear her and says:
"Hm, forced? That doesn't sound good....
"Well, Justin and I didn't train by force, we decided to train and take the Awakening test of our own free will, my father didn't force us to do anything, but from the moment we agreed to train, my father will become someone else...scary sometimes...hehe"
Ana laughs, he thought Mr. Han was so calm, but that's probably just the first impression.
"Well, he must be the best trainer then, it must be nice to be able to choose what you want, me, I'm feeling a bit jealous of you now..."
Ana feels like her life was already planned before she was born, her parents were already over 40 when she was born, so as they were an older couple, and she didn't want to give them too much trouble, but she felt controlled, it's strange to know that her life was all planned.
After a few moments of silence, Ana continues:
"We probably only came to Rivercity for me to become a Support, and my fiancé has probably already been chosen...."
Luke looks at Ana in surprise and says:
"Boyfriend? Hm, engaged, so I can't even flirt with you..."
Ana turns red, she feels her heart skip a beat, and then goes quiet as she thinks of an answer:
(Breathe Ana, don't let it get to you, well apparently, my parents didn't make this crazy proposal to his family, our family's stupid tradition of forming alliances between families, honestly it's better this way, I'd hate to have to tie myself to someone, let alone force someone to have to stay with me, let it stay that way, in any case better to keep him away, I'll have to omit the facts, better to overthrow any hypothesis of a planned Engagement. )
Then she takes a deep breath and looks at Luke, and adds a little confusedly:
"Actually, I, I have a boyfriend, almost an fiancé, but he's not supposed to know about it yet.... "
(That's Ana, it's better this way, surely he's playing with you,)
Author's Note:
(Oh no, Ana what are you saying, Luan Becker needs to be born otherwise it will be very difficult for me to continue writing School Time- The Beginning! >.<)
Luke doesn't understand, but he deduces that he's already been dumped, and he was just warming up, which the handsome guy didn't expect, so he tries to get out of the way:
"Hm, I see, you prefer dark-haired guys, like Scoot."
Ana grimaces, she doesn't deny that Scoot is really handsome, but he's not her taste, at least she doesn't see him with those eyes, but she's only had a few crushes, so she can't say anything about deeper love, so she replies without thinking too much:
"Scoot is very handsome, but he's not my ideal type, at least I don't see him that way... I honestly don't know what my ideal type is... and even less do I imagine myself being someone's ideal type too... in short, I don't know why I got into this subject..."
Ana then reflects on her words, she knows that her fiancé would probably be Luke Becker or Scoot, knowing her parents, she is sure that even her wedding has already been planned, and she knows that she won't be able to go to the college she really wants to go to, she has a script to follow, even if it makes her unhappy in the future, If you decide to change everything that was planned and do everything differently from what was planned, but with a small trace of joy in doing what you love, that might be enough to put up with it. Ana at first tries to change this script, as far as she can support it, so she starts by pushing away her probable future fiancé, and giving him his right of free will to continue choosing what is best for his life.
"Dad, I have to go home, bye!"
