Oh, My Family!

Chapter 10: Ch 9: Divorce 1

"AHHH… Mom, what are you doing?!" Sara gasped, waking to loud music and Khushi dancing. "Get up! We're going sightseeing!" Khushi beamed. For a moment, Sara thought yesterday was just a bad dream—until reality sank back in. She sat her mom down. "Are you okay?" Khushi smiled. "Despite everything, we came to the Philippines to enjoy—so let's do that."

Still confused, Sara glanced at Nisha, who'd just woken up wearing the same puzzled look. Soon, they got ready. The plan: was set The Mind Museum, a Filipino lunch, Intramuros town, and finally, sunset at Baywalk. They visited every spot, but Khushi's smile never quite reached her eyes. Every couple she saw brought memories rushing back. Standing at the baywalk, eating ice cream, watching the sunset as it's rays makes their faces glow which could have been more beautiful and feeling the cold breeze touching their cheeks was almost perfect. (Car horn) Then came the sound of a car horn. They turned to see two black cars pull up. Rishabh stepped out with the Reyes family.

"Get in," he ordered. Sara and Nisha exchanged a glance; Khushi silently followed. The Grovers entered one car, the Reyes the other."Stacy has now officially divorced Sebastian" were Rishabh's first words. FLASHBACK: That morning at the Reyes villa was tense. Zade came downstairs to see Elena, Sebastian, Stacy, and Rishabh at the table. "Good morning, Zade," Stacy said, toasting Rishabh. Zade ignored her and quietly started eating. "We're heading to the lawyer's office soon," Stacy announced. Only Rishabh responded, "Sure, honey." Honey?! Elena thought, shocked. Zade rolled his eyes. Sebastian walked off silently. At the lawyer's office, after signing many documents, Mr. Quin declared, "You're now officially divorced." Then came the talk of property and custody. "The villa belongs to Miss Stacy—these papers show Mr. Reyes signed it." "What?!" Sebastian snapped. "YOU CHEATED WOMEN " "dad" "Das" "You tricked me! I trusted you!" "Mr. Reyes, please calm down," Mr. Quin said. "Both children will stay with Miss Stacy." "No way!" Zade and Elena protested. Mr. Quin clarified, "Since you're adults, either of you may choose." Elena looked at Zade, unsure. He made the decision: "Elena will go with Dad. I'll stay with Mom—I've got my own apartment anyway." "Okay I'll get the papers ready, till then you all can wait outside" Mr Quin said walking off. As the family stepped outside the lawyer's office, they were met by a storm of flashing cameras and shouting reporters. "Ma'am, is it true you're now divorced?" one asked. "Yes! Sebastian and I are no longer married," Stacy declared before walking off.

Chaos broke out, but the family quickly got into their cars and drove away.

"I need to find Khushi," Rishabh muttered. The Reyes family's phones were buzzing like crazy. "Can we stop by the Baywalk? I really want to," Stacy asked sweetly. Rishabh nodded. Zade just looked at his phone as his phone was filling with questioning friends, relatives, breaking news. He just sighed and looked outside. As they arrived, Zade pointed, "Is that… Sara?" They parked, Rishabh stepped out—and the rest was history. Little did they know how things will be in the future.
