Chapter 19: Meeting The First Goal to Wreck Face to Face... Meeting Derick
They kept cheering in extreme happiness until a row of system notifications pushed them all to silence. Bloom hurriedly paid attention to these alerts, as he wanted to know what cool rewards he would get, as part of the first team clearing a dungeon in the entire game!
"System alert: Gored team has cleared dungeon level three successfully. The time taken to clear the dungeon didn't exceed the lower limits of the dungeon."
"System alert: Gored team has cleared the first dungeon in the entire game. Rewards will be sent to each player, based on the role played in clearing the dungeon. Assessments are final, and there is no way to ask for reevaluation. Team leader has the right to declare the success to the whole world."
"System alert: player is part of Gored team. Killing one hundred and seven level three monsters granted the player two thousands and five hundred XP. Killing the boss monster granted the player five hundred XP."
"System alert: Player is part of Gored team. Being the first to clear a dungeon in the game, and being the highest DPS player, the second in defense player among the team, you have these following rewards:
-Additional five hundred XP.
-Fifty Hp potions.
-Twenty Stm potions.
-One level five sword, and one level three sword, both are silver grade weapons.
-Fifty gold coins."
Bloom checked the long list of rewards, feeling so much excited and impressed by this. He knew there would be potions and gears, but he never expected the rewards to be distributed according to contribution.
Being the first in the DPS rank wasn't a surprise, but being the second in defense ranking was indeed a surprise. It was all due to his defensive skill, ground breaker, which he used mainly to save others, and it seemed he actually overdid it.
The amount of XP gained here was massive, as he gained three thousands and five hundred XP. Before he could guess how many levels he had risen, the system was a step faster than him as he received the leveling up notifications.
"System alert: Player has risen."
"System alert: Player has risen."
"System alert: Player has risen."
Three levels at once shot. He waited for the fourth notification to come, but he didn't get any, so he opened his character page, and what he saw there gave him a scare!
"Player XP: 116916500"
Sixteen thousand XP! He was shocked when he saw the number, but rapidly he understood what was going on.
The game had the XP needed for leveling being reduced at the first five levels, something players used to call a honeymoon period. From level six, everything changed.
The amount needed to level up was really enormous! The only, and fast way to do it was through entering dungeons, and clearing them.
"Sigh," he helplessly sighed, as he knew he had a long road ahead of him until he got to level ten.
"Wow, I got money, I got potions!"
Suddenly the wizard screamed out loud, and after that everyone else said what they got.
"I got Mp potions, Hp potions, and ten gold coins," Peri suddenly came over and told him about her rewards. "Me too," he simply replied, without giving any details about it.
Before anyone could say anything more, a sudden pushing force emerged, sweeping them all. Bloom just patted his forehead, as he totally forgot that the dungeon would collapse in one minute after finishing it. he just missed getting materials from this boss!
The push force startled everyone, however before they knew it, they were not standing outside the dungeon, where the cave entry to it collapsed, and any trace of it vanished, like it didn't ever exist.
Bloom was still lamenting his bad luck, and his own carelessness, but he was surprised to notice some players standing nearby, looking directly at them, and he felt some ill aura coming from them.
They weren't here for good.
"It seems you have gotten quite a deal here."
Just as he turned to look at them, this familiar, quite irritating voice sounded. It was Brendy, and it seemed he was here with his friends.
"What are you doing here?" Bloom blurted out, coldly glancing at him and the other players standing there. there were three other players, all swordsmen like him.
"You sneaky bastard! You backstabbed me!" Brendy exploded in his face, once Bloom's finished his words.
"Really?" Bloom smirked, while taking a few steps towards him, "What if I did that? Did you come here to be killed again? Do you want me to zero you out? And who are they? Your babysitters?"
Bloom didn't need to coat his words with him anymore, as he had already achieved his goal, and the Gored team was now considered in his pocket.
"Brother Bloom, please be careful, this is the beta player we were talking about from before," Gored hurriedly called to Bloom, as he didn't want him to be in trouble.
However, what he didn't know was that, at this moment, the eyes of Bloom shone so brightly, as he looked towards that fat sheep.
"Yes, yes, coward away in fear now, as Derick is here to kill you!" Brendy thought Bloom would be frightened from Derick. What he didn't know, though, that Bloom wasn't any bit frightened from him.
In fact, the heart beats of Bloom were beating faster than usual, out of his excitement. In front of him, stood the player who would set the first stone of the game in motion. That was his target, his first wrecking mission, and instead of going out and looking for him, he came out to him, simply like that.
At this moment, Bloom felt the urge to give Brendy a hug, before he would kill him.
"So you are beta too?" Derick, who was standing in the middle, took a couple of steps forward, as he took out one big sword from his scabbard, holding it perfectly with one hand.
