Chapter 11
Episode 11
He appeared behind me and completed the black magic.
“Holy shit, you can memorize magic while blinking!
Blink is a skill that all mages learn, and it’s a form of teleportation. It was an essential skill for mages because it allowed them to travel up to their line of sight and had a low delay.
The Blood Emperor is a magical swordsman. They are the best mages and the best swordsmen. Blink is another skill that I didn’t bother to take a picture of because I didn’t feel the need to learn it, but this handsome bastard has probably mastered all of his skills.
He didn’t memorize any other spells while blinking. Not normally. Of course, it’s possible to become a Two-Master by switching from Wizard to Wizard again, but none of them had gotten there yet.
Everyone had a wizard as a secondary class, and it was rare to switch from wizard to wizard again. Leveling up was also very difficult.
“Dark Gravity!”
Dark Gravity was the most powerful of the black magic spells. It was a skill that increased the gravity of an area by ten to twelve times by creating a huge amount of magic around the caster. Of course, in the original world, you’d die instantly, but in the game, your body is much higher than a human body, so you don’t die instantly, but it’s hard to stay safe.
Dark Gravity is the best support spell, as you’re subject to gravity, and if your opponent casts any other spells, you’ll die instantly.
Magi swirled around my body. Surely within 10 seconds, the magicka will be amplified enough to control gravity. That freak (whose life is in danger, so he’s gone from pretty boy to monster) was muttering magic again.
“…Dark… Diablo… Hail… …….”
From the way it was muttering Diablo’s name, it must be Meteor Lane, perhaps the greatest magical darkness in black magic. Unlike the Meteor Lane, it is not limited by location. Meteor Lane can’t be realized indoors because, of course, Meteor falls from the sky, which is impossible indoors.
But Dark Meteor Lane is different. It’s made up of heated magma rising from the ground. It’s slightly less powerful than Meteor Rain, but it’s a powerful spell.
“Shit!”
I leaped, thrusting my sword down with all my might before the Magi could surround me. Breaking through Magi’s wall, I was in front of the creature in a flash, able to strike him in the head.
“…Dark Meteor Rain!”
I don’t know how I finished the spell, but the ground began to crack. It’s a wide-area spell, so there’s no dodging it.
“Damn, it’s a construction board!
I cast Emperor’s Sword 2, Emperor’s Hemorrhage, again. The close range allowed my sword to slice through the creature’s body without difficulty.
“Again, Enclave!”
The Enclave became a stronger wall than before, deflecting my sword. Perhaps this bastard had invested all of his remaining mana into the Enclave.
Suddenly, magma washed over me.
I thought of death again. I must die. The red heat of the magma enveloped my entire body, and I squeezed my eyes shut as I waited for my blood to go to zero.
‘Damn it… I’m going to die like this. Is the Master Quest incomplete?’
I felt a strange sensation for a moment. I felt like I wasn’t dead yet. When you die, a black veil forms… and you’re weightless, but not now. Does that mean I’m not dead?
I opened my eyes.
“Huh!”
In front of me, the handsome man (who became handsome as soon as the crisis was over) was lying beautifully (?) dead. He must be dead.
“Your reflection was successful. You have completed all of the Master Quests. The rewards are all of the previous items as you can see, and the final Master Skill, Madness, has been created. Thank you for your efforts.”
“……!
One of the items I’m wearing is the Leather Armor of Obedience. It has a 5% chance to grant full defense and full reflection… so it’s kind of useful(?).
I didn’t know it applied to magic, but now I realize that in addition to all physical attacks, I can also block or reflect magical attacks.
The handsome bastard must have died of his magma.
I turned my eyes to the items in front of me. Three were rings and necklaces, and the other four were weapons and armor. Master items, I was told, are not for sale, but they are unique, nearly impossible to obtain in Middle-earth, and extremely useful. A glance told me they were all Master Items.
“Gotcha!”
“Since you’re the first person to complete the Master Quest in the shortest amount of time, and you’ve earned a lot of extra experience, there’s one last event left. Do you want to do it?”
“……?”
“It must be something good to have an event left, right? Of course!
“Of course!”
“This event will be the first of its kind, and it’s not set by you, it’s set by the very systems of Middle-earth. The space around you will disappear, and three rooms will appear, and this is the beginning!”
The black space around me warped. Then three very old stone doors appeared in front of me.
The first door was decorated with jewelry, the second with weapons and armor, and the last with a unique symbol.
It was a sword and shield inside a heart, and it looked like a symbol of ‘courage’.
“Am I supposed to enter one of these?”
My hunch was that this event was about entering one door and getting another bonus reward.
“Of course, I have to go into the jewelry room (the first door)!
Money is king. Even in Middle-earth, many jewelry vendors sold gems, and they were a great option to add to items. Gemstones could be very expensive. As I was about to open the door, I suddenly realized something else. Items are more expensive than most gems. Especially in the weapon and armor rooms, they’re probably covered in unique or rare items.
“Hmm, so the item room?
I glanced at the door to my right as I approached the item room. What could be in the ‘Courage’ room (I decided to call it that for now)? As the thought crossed my mind, one thing popped into my head.
‘Items are more expensive than jewelry. So the profits are more salty from left to right?’
I swallowed hard, thinking to myself, and opened the door to the ‘container’. Pure white light. Blindingly so. A warm glow enveloped my body.
“Courageous one… one with heart… one who will be blessed by me, the Goddess of Choice. Blessed are you wherever you go.”
This time, darkness enveloped my entire body. A cold, yet inviting darkness. A lonely but loyal darkness.
“Blessed are the brave… blessed are those after my heart… blessed are those who will be blessed by Diablo the Drinker. Your flesh shall not be scorched by the extreme heat of Hell!”
When I opened my eyes, I was in the Temple of the Swordsman again.
“Now, are you awake?”
Hector, he respected me now. Though I couldn’t figure out why. As far as I could tell, NPCs seemed to respect me after the Master Quest.
“Yes. Can I go now?”
“Yes. Are you leaving now?”
“I’m done.”
I walked out of the magnificent Swordsman’s Shrine. My head was throbbing.
“Black.”
I began to cry, overcome with grief.
“My treasure! My item! Ebony.”
The room of ‘courage’ I entered was probably meant to symbolize ‘bang’. The treasure room and the item room were the prize room, and the container room was the bang room. I had been tricked. There’s an old saying that greed leads to anger, and that’s exactly what happened here. If I had been a little less greedy, I could have gotten tons of items.
“I hate the operator.”
Cursing at the operator seemed to make me feel better. It was nice to have someone to take it out on.
“The operator’s ass is red, the operator is stupid, black, black.”
I felt better and better, but thinking about the item made me feel depressed again. So, should I just keep swearing to make myself feel better?
“The operator has a hairy ass! The operator is no better than a kindergartner!”
The more I swore, the worse I felt, and the better I felt. I couldn’t help but feel depressed. Koreans are famous for relieving stress by swearing. There are many different types of swear words, and swearing is a basic step in expressing anger.
“Operator, is the medicine up? Kkakkakkakkakk~!”
Suddenly, I felt better. Knowing that the operator can’t directly sanction the user, I cursed the operator out loud. The more I looked at the items in front of me, the more I cursed the moderators for creating such an event.
‘Oh, you said that the event was created by the game’s system, not the moderators…….’
I wondered if I was cursing a living person.
‘No… it’s the admin who created the game’s system, so it’s only right to curse the admin!’
I rationalized and cursed at the operator for about five minutes.
“……?
Suddenly, the dry sky was covered with black rain clouds. It rains in Middle-earth, and there is definitely weather, but the sky has never been covered with clouds like this before.
It always rains, but only after the clouds have gathered little by little. Sudden showers don’t exist.
