Ninja World: World Peace Through Excessive Firepower.

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Ashes and Resolve

Hanzo coughed, spitting blood as he pulled himself upright. Nagato stood over him but did not strike.

"Why hesitate?" Hanzo muttered.

"Because once, I believed in peace through dialogue. I want to believe it's still possible."

Hanzo grunted. "Then you're already defeated."

Nagato's expression hardened. "No. I'm changing the method, not the goal."

He stepped back, allowing Hanzo to rise. The old warlord staggered but refused to fall.

They circled again.

Hanzo lunged, faking left, cutting right. Nagato anticipated it, ducked, and countered with an elbow to the stomach. He twisted, grabbing Hanzo's arm and slamming him into the ground.

"You're fast for a relic," Nagato said.

Hanzo chuckled weakly. "You're arrogant for a child."

They paused, breathing hard, soaked in rain and resolve.

Hanzo flicked a blade from his sleeve.

Nagato caught the glint and parried. The small blade nicked his arm.

"Poison?"

"Always."

Nagato focused his chakra to isolate the toxin. "Then I won't let you cut me again."

They resumed, this time moving slower. Each strike was measured, cautious. Hanzo's experience clashed with Nagato's youthful ferocity.

Nagato used the terrain—bouncing off pillars, spinning through debris, launching punches from impossible angles. Hanzo relied on pressure, patience, punishing mistakes.

They collided again, fists clashing.

Nagato broke through, landing a spinning kick that sent Hanzo flying.

"This is for Yahiko," he said quietly.

Hanzo groaned. "That name again."

"He was our hope. You killed him."

"He was a threat to the balance."

"He was a dream. And you feared it."

Hanzo knelt, blood flowing freely. "Then finish it."

Nagato shook his head. "I want the people to see what a real fight looks like—one without lies. Without poison in every word."

He lowered his stance.

Hanzo stood, surprised. "You'll fight me clean? Now?"

"Yes. You said I was arrogant. Let me prove I'm just determined."

They clashed one final time.

No jutsu.

No summonings.

Only fists.

They bled. They stumbled. But they fought.

In the end, Hanzo lay on the ground again, exhausted.

Nagato, bruised and limping, stood.

"You shouldn't have let greed take over, Hanzo," he said.

Hanzo looked up. "Why not use the power of your eyes?"

He believed that if Nagato had used that power, the fight would have ended faster.

"This is how I show my respect to you," Nagato replied. He had once truly respected Hanzo—until he killed Yahiko. Even when Akatsuki grew larger, Hanzo ignored them. Only when Danzo got involved did Hanzo decide to crush them.

Silence fell. Nagato teleported back to his base. Right now, his body trembled, and his face had gone pale like paper. It wasn't injury—it was the weight of having killed for the first time.

He is modern person and never killed a people, even in konoha where he blow up building or using other identity they just fainted or maybe need to rest in bed for a month or two, but this time he killed a living person himself. The impact is so great that nagato cant even stand up properly.

To lead the war, Nagato sent a clone to take his place temporarily. After Hanzo's death, most of his ninja would surrender, and Nagato felt he needed time to regain his composure.

The rebellion had a leader.

And Amegakure had a future,
