Note: The Eight Gates are eight specific Tenketsu of an individual's chakra network. They limit the overall flow of chakra within the body. The idea of chakra gates comes from the body's limits on its functions. This makes the body much weaker but prevents it from exhausting too early. Through intense training, one can learn how to open these gates, allowing the user to surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own body.
The 1st Gate, the Gate of Opening (Kaimon), located in the brain, removes the brain's restraints on the muscles so that 100% of the user's strength can be used, whereas normally, a person can only use 20% of their muscle strength to prevent disintegration.
Unlocking this gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus.
The Front Lotus requires the opening of the first of the Eight Gates, giving the user five times their normal strength. This time I presented the potential of Kakashi. Initially, it was quite confusing to calculate Kakashi's initial power in the classic series, considering his great title as the Copy Ninja with a thousand Jutsus, which could make him seem ultra-overpower.
However, based on what was presented in the series, Kakashi initially matched with base Zabuza, and from there, he evolved similarly to the main characters. His evolution wasn't as explicit as Naruto's and Sasuke's because the story and powers revolve around them, but it is notable that in the classic series, he was someone with power A. By copying Lee's fight with Gaara and training Sasuke in Raikiri, he became someone with power B. This is just an example, but I wanted to make it clear.
As for the Inner Gate of Opening, Kakashi has demonstrated the ability to use it, as well as the Lotus technique in Shippuden battles. However, he uses the 1st Gate mainly for training purposes, when he becomes very fatigued, as a boost to his strength, endurance, and other attributes.
