Chapter 113: Nindō 0113: Ramen Date
Naruto left a clone to take care of Ino and explain some things to her once she woke up. As for him, he went back to the office to wrap some things up. As Sarada visited him to have some ramen with him, Naruto regrettably postponed it to the following day, telling her that he had something important to take care of. Like the understanding and sensible child that she is, she didn't cause any trouble and left him to his devices. Five minutes before it turned six, Naruto rang the doorbell of his home.
The door suddenly opened, and Himawari's pouty face greeted Naruto. "You sent a clone," she said admonishingly.
"I know. I'm sorry, honey." Naruto picked her up in his arms and hugged her. "Daddy had something important to do."
"Something a clone couldn't take care of?" She asked.
"I won't lie, I was planning on leaving a clone to take care of it in the first place. But something unexpected happened that made me stay with my real self. I'll make it up to you, I promise."
As Naruto stepped into the house with Himawari in his arms, Hinata was nowhere to be seen. Feeling a sting in his chest, he slipped out of his shoes and straightened them with his foot before stepping inside.
'I never thought it would feel this bad not to have her greet me at the door. Man, I miss you, Hinata …'
Shaking his head, Naruto threw that specific depressing thought to the back of his mind.
"Did your mother tell you about our plans for dinner?"
"No …" Himawari shook her head.
Naruto furrowed his brow. "Where is your mother?"
"She should be in the bedroom," Himawari said.
Confused, Naruto decided to cheat a little and used Hinata's Dominion Mark to examine her current state. He immediately understood the situation as her overwhelming lustful feelings assaulted his senses. To be able to keep up with his freaky Uzumaki stamina, she was halfway down the path of a nymphomaniac. Now, having to abstain not just for a week but also for the week prior due to her period, she was downright dying of arousal.
'I'll give her some space ...'
Naruto was tempted to join in and help her, but that wouldn't have the effect he wanted. It would only make Hinata more annoyed at him if he tried to be intimate with her without everything being fixed.
"We'll let her rest then," Naruto said. "Will you help me make dinner?"
"Is she not going to cook today?" Himawari asked in return, blinking at Naruto.
"What she forgot to tell you was that we were going to go on a date," Naruto said. "Your Aunt Hanabi is going to come here and take care of you two."
"Can I come with you?" Himawari asked cutely.
Naruto laughed. "Don't play coy with me, young lady. You know what I mean by going on a date with your mother."
"We don't need a babysitter, Daddy," she said. "We can take care of ourselves. You and Mom can go enjoy yourselves without disturbing Hanabi-nee-chan."
"Both your mother and I know that very well, but we will still feel a little calmer if we have someone to take care of you and put you to sleep on time," Naruto said. "Plus, it gives Hanabi an excuse to hang out with you two. She loves you both a lot."
"Mhm," she nodded. "So you're going to make dinner for us?"
"Yeah. Come on, help me out." Naruto brought Himawari to the kitchen and placed her on top of the island counter, giving her the task of chopping some veggies as he worked on the meat.
He also sent a clone to tell Hanabi about his and Hinata's plans and that they needed her to babysit the kids.
Almost an hour passed by the time Hinata came back downstairs.
"Morning, sleepyhead." Naruto turned from the kitchen and smiled at her. "Ready for our date?"
"It completely skipped my mind …" Hinata shook her head, looking distracted.
"Don't worry, Mom," Himawari interjected. "Daddy already called Hanabi-nee-chan and made dinner for us. I helped. You should go out without any worries."
"Oh, darling~," Hinata gushed happily and swooped into the kitchen, picking Himawari up in her arms. "You are just the most thoughtful, aren't you?"
"No," Himawari wiggled as Hinata rubbed her nose against her face. "It tickles …"
"Need any help?" Hinata asked Naruto while playing with Himawari.
"Nah, I'm pretty much done. You should get ready, though. Hanabi will be here in another hour or so."
"Right." Hinata nodded and placed Himawari back down. "You didn't cause trouble for your father, did you?"
"Of course not," Himawari huffed. "I'm not like my big brother."
…
"How'd things go with Ino?" Hinata asked Naruto as they walked through the streets on their way to Ichiraku. "Hima was clamoring about how you sent a clone to pick her up."
"She took the seal," Naruto said. "There were some complications, though. She showed me a technique that invoked something in my bloodline. I needed to stay to test it out. That's what caused the delay."
"Something from your clan?"
"Not exactly. I haven't told you about this, but for a while there, Ino wasn't actually Ino."
"What do you mean? Was she possessed or controlled?"
"Something like that," Naruto said. "The woman whom you went out a few weeks ago, who pried out how I had a sudden change of heart, wasn't our Ino. It was an alternate reality's Ino."
"What's that?"
"It's a complicated situation, but you can think of it as another planet, identical to ours, that doesn't exist in our reality. Boiled down, it's another threat looming over our heads, similar to the Ōtsutsuki."
"Such a lighthearted conversation for a date, don't you think?"
"You asked …" Naruto said.
"Where does that technique factor into all this?"
"While that reality's Ino was prancing around here, ours was doing the same there. She got this technique from the Naruto of that reality. It's essentially tapping into a fundamental force of my bloodline, different from the usual bloodline techniques like the Adamantine Chains and the Eye of the Kagura."
"Anything you might have done with Ino that you want me to know about?" She asked him pointedly.
"No, I did not," Naruto sighed. "I held her hand, and she passed out in my arms after the seal manifested itself on her. That's all."
"Holding hands … how lewd, Naruto-kun."
"Spare me the patronizing remarks, Hinata. I told you beforehand what would be happening when I marked Ino. You agreed."
"That doesn't prevent me from wondering whether or not you left some things out, right?"
"Honey, at some point, I'm going to respond to all that bitchiness with a rough fucking."
"You're probably talking about fucking some other woman," Hinata goaded him. "You couldn't possibly be talking about us having sex."
"Have your fun while it lasts," Naruto said. "Now come, I want a rematch. I'm going to take that damn title from you."
"You're going to try," Hinata said passionately as Naruto led her into Ichiraku Ramen for a rematch of a lifetime.
…
"How in the …" Naruto's eyes were bulging just as much as his stomach. "I can't believe this."
"Did you think I would've lost after all these years?" Hinata looked at him smugly as the owner of the restaurant, Teuchi, solemnly declared the victor.
"The defending champion, the Queen of Gluttony, Miss Hinata Uzumaki, wins. With a staggering fifty-six bowls of ramen in a single sitting, she has thoroughly wiped out her competition, Hokage-sama, with a mere fifty bowls under his belt."
The crowd cheered for Hinata as Naruto leaned forward, holding his stomach, barely holding himself back from emptying the contents onto the table in front of him.
"Come on, Naruto-kun, tell me who's the victor," Hinata said teasingly, looking completely unaffected by the consumption of such an ungodly amount of food.
"You are … Fuck, where does all that food go? My stomach was already bulging after the tenth bowl."
"What an impolite thing to ask a woman," Hinata admonished. "I hope you won't ask me to split the check with you."
"Even when I was broke and training to be Hokage, I never let you pay for a meal, Hinata. I'm not about to start now."
Naruto took out a card from his back pocket and handed it to the owner.
"Tell me this is still valid, old man," he said. "I don't have the cash on me at the moment."
"Of course, it's valid, kid," Teuchi patted Naruto's shoulder. "This little competition between you and your wife has just helped me sell more ramen than I do in an entire week." He turned to Hinata. "And it's always a pleasure to see someone eat my ramen with such happiness and excitement. Congratulations, Mrs. Uzumaki."
"Your ramen is the best in the entire village, Teuchi-san," Hinata said. "Naturally, I love eating it."
