Nightmare Assault

"What?" Fatty was stunned and angered. He didn't think the man would have such a request. The man had to be crazy. Fatty believed he could rival Chen Ran in craziness. They might come from the same mother.

"Mr Wei." Banana Wolf was calmer, despite the man's audacity. "Do you have to do that?" Banana Wolf scanned the man and commented, "You are heavily injured. How can you be sure you can take down both of us?

"Plus, consider this. Even if you can kill both of us, what will you do then? You do not have anything. How will you handle Wu? Let's be frank. We're not pushovers since we've survived until now. When we take this seriously, we'll die together." Banana Wolf warned, "I've learned Judo and free boxing." He paused. "Don't underestimate me. I'm a good fighter."

"Me too." Fatty pretended to act tough. "I'm stronger than he is. You'd better think about it. It's not easy for your parents to raise you." Fatty persuaded. "You're still young. You don't have to be a criminal."

"Is that so?" Wei Jingting cackled. He looked at them like they were new toys. "But I'm an orphan. No one cares about me."

"That's fine." Fatty empathised with him. "I'll be your stepdad. Then, you'll have a family."

Banana Wolf, "???" He looked at Fatty with complicated emotions. He suddenly realised the man was not as simple as he thought. Furthermore, it was Fatty who saved them from the sea of fire earlier.

"I'm glad that you have the confidence to deal with him," Banana Wolf whispered in a tone that only they could hear.

Fatty blinked innocently. "You're a trained master, right? Judo and boxing…" Fatty remembered Banana Wolf saying that.

Fatty paused and added awkwardly, "Then, we might have to suffer." He whispered back, "I am also lying."

Wei Jingting watched this exchange. "Enough." He smiled. "We can start now."

"Don't push it!" Fatty warned. "There are two of us and one of you. You are outnumbered!"

"No." Wei Jingting chuckled. "It's two against two. I have… a friend."

Banana Wolf realised something and turned back, but he was still too late. A black hand reached for Fatty. In his desperation, Banana Wolf shoved Fatty away, but he was grabbed and yanked into the dark. When Fatty recovered, Banana Wolf had disappeared. "Banana Wolf!" Fatty screamed.

"Shh…" Wei Jingting placed his finger on his lips. He toyed with a butterfly knife. "Be quiet." Wei Jingting narrowed his eyes as he walked towards Fatty. His shoes were squishy with blood. Wei Jingting stopped when he was five metres away from Fatty. With Fatty looking on in fear, Wei Jingting bowed. "Time to dance."

"Cough…" Banana Wolf woke up in the dark. His head was heavy. He knocked his head when he was dragged. He didn't dare to make any sound. He didn't move. He held his breath and sensed his surroundings.

It had to be a ghost who grabbed him. He was in another horror story. He needed to identify its source, or rather, who was the ghost in this story?

He placed his head on the wall. He could hear a soft voice. He adjusted his position because it was uncomfortable. He moved his hands along the wall. However, that chilled his spine. He touched something fuzzy. It was large… And slowly, the thing was waking up as it slowly moved.

Banana Wolf didn't know how he managed not to scream. Then, something wet moved across his hand. The wet thing moved to his wrist. Fear exploded in his heart. Ice froze his veins. It was… a tongue!

The tongue was so much longer and larger than a normal human tongue. He moved his neck with difficulty, but he saw nothing. For some reason, he felt thankful. He was afraid that he'd die from fear if he saw something. Things were clear. He was leaning against the wall in the dark. Someone was next to him, and they had a long tongue. This sudden scare almost made him cry. This ghost died from hanging. He remembered what Fatty said.

Chu Jiu!

His eyes froze. This was Chu Jiu's story! She was hanged to her death by the ghost bride and Lu Huaxu. When he realised it was Chu Jiu who was licking him, Banana Wolf was assaulted by a complicated feeling. He suddenly felt better. It was Chu Jiu who saved him. She traded her life for his, so in a way, he was merely returning his life. He managed to get the clue to his teammate. Honestly, he didn't do too badly.

Banana Wolf could sense the ghost's breath on him. She was slowly approaching. Everything was about to end…

At that moment, the fear receded. It was not too bad for Chu Jiu to send him on his way. At least, he didn't die at the hands of a stranger. He felt weirdly at ease. Chu Jiu clearly was no longer herself. She couldn't recognise him, or she wouldn't do this.

At the last moment, Banana Wolf opened his arms to welcome the encroaching darkness. "Don't be scared, Chu Jiu." Banana Wolf whispered, "Big Brother is here to accompany you."

However, Banana Wolf felt something was not right… The tongue was madly licking his face.

"Bark!"
