Chapter 350: Refreshing Scenery
After an hour, the pilot announced that we were approaching Jeju Island.
I was still in the process of getting dressed when I heard the announcement, so I hurriedly grabbed my clothes and scrambled to put them on.
As for the stewardess, she was understandably fatigued after all that fucking. Currently, she was fast asleep, naked , so I didn't want to disturb her well-deserved rest.
I took note of her name and added her to my harem app because it was a good experience.
Also, I planned to invite her to live with me once the renovations were completed in my new building. The place had hundreds of rooms, providing ample space for her.
I may be a little bit insane and sadistic, but I always take good care of my women. I didn't care about their past; as long as I like them, they're welcome to join.
In some ways, I could be called a highly impartial and fair individual.
'We are close ?' I thought to myself . I could feel the vibration of the plane, and as I looked out the window, I noticed that we were gradually descending in latitude.
The view of Jeju Island from the sky was captivating. The landscape below revealed lush greenery, with rolling hills and vibrant patches of farmland.
The coastline traced the island's perimeter, offering glimpses of pristine beaches and rocky shores meeting the turquoise waters.
What amazed me even more was the giant crater in the ocean. It resembled a majestic green crown, surrounded by rocks on all sides.
The center of the crater was lush and green, creating a stunning contrast with the rugged cliffs scattered throughout the area. The sight of this natural wonder, a green oasis amidst the rocky surroundings, left me in awe as our plane continued its descent over Jeju Island.
'So that's where Cerebrum HQ is located,' I muttered to myself.
While it might appear as a tourist attraction on the surface, the memory of those Jeju Island representative revealed that the place had an underground base. And it wasn't just any ordinary underground base; it was at least 20 times larger than the base at Seoul .
It even had its own port for nuclear submarines. Talk about firepower.
Finally, our plane landed at Jeju Island National Airport. I took care of the pilot and, of course, my beloved stewardess, using my oath to ensure their loyalty to me.
"This place is livelier than I expected," I chuckled, observing a lot of tourists from various races going in and out of the airport.
Even the airport itself was not too shabby; it felt like I hadn't left Seoul at all, considering how clean and high-tech everything appeared.
But after exiting the airport, I sensed a noticeable difference.
The buildings were not as tall, and the people seemed more easygoing. It's not that I didn't like the vibe; in fact, it was quite refreshing. The atmosphere was not as polluted as Seoul, which was a good thing.
"Director Joon," a man in black with black shades approached us.
Enjoy new tales from empire
There were already three black sedans waiting for us outside. The people from this branch had been expecting us, and they came because I had with me something I considered as garbage, Varium. This must be what they meant when they said one man's trash is another man's treasure.
To avoid arousing suspicion, I acted casually and went with the flow.
I continued to portray an arrogant persona, discussing matters that made me appear as some kind of big shot. Adopting this man's personality was quite exhausting, as it was the complete opposite of my usual humble self. However, I understood the necessity of persisting in order to successfully carry out this mission.
Fortunately, this place had a lot of things to offer.
The city passed by me, and after a while, I finally laid eyes on the pride of Jeju Island – its breathtaking natural beauty, untainted by civilization.
We even rode alongside a boulevard, where the stretch of beaches unfolded before me, each one a picturesque haven inviting a serene escape.
'I want to have a vacation house in this place..No, I want to build a mansion !' I thought to myself. It would be too boring if I just spent my time in my building, so I should also get some land here and build myself a private resort.
In fact, I should also buy a commercial plane so it could accommodate all my women when we go on vacation.
It wouldn't be right to bring just a select few. Besides, the more, the merrier.
'I'm such a generous and a perfect partner,' I chuckled to myself, realizing that even in the midst of a deadly and very dangerous mission, my thoughts were still dedicated to my harem.
'Priorities, right? Conquering Cerebrum can wait; first, let's plan that dream vacation for my harem'
As the car whisked us away, it went straight towards Hallasan Mountain Peak, the inactive volcano that had caught my eye from the plane.
Initially, the car traveled along the public road, but then it swerved onto another route, leading to a road where some armed personnel were waiting at what appeared to be a military base.
They all geared up with high-powered weapons, even better equipped than the law enforcement in Seoul, perhaps due to the strict gun laws in Korea.
"ID?" One of the soldiers asked.
My driver presented our IDs, and we were granted access.
The military base wasn't our final destination; it was merely the gateway to the underground tunnel that would lead us toward Cerebrum HQ.
Just like that, we utilized the military base to enter the tunnel. The passage was wide enough for trucks to enter, and as we progressed, it descended further into the ground. It was really impressive, how they managed to conceal such a massive infrastructure.
What was even more astounding was the fact that this tunnel had been constructed 70 years ago through the combined efforts of human engineering and, of course, One powerful Gifted.
Which Gifted? Well, it was actually my grandfather, Zed, who helped them.
