chapter 62
‘What the hell is this bastard’s problem?’
When had he started watching my screen? Shin Heejae was now blatantly staring only at my monitor. It felt like he might get sucked into it any second.
Meanwhile, Urara kept provoking as if they’d predicted exactly how Heejae would act.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: ㅇㅅㅇ I was talking to Sesam, not Heejae......
CUrara: If you don’t wanna come, Heejae, feel free to dip :)
So petty and annoying—it was like looking at a Shin Heejae clone.
“Sim Woohyun, don’t act up when you’re only 160cm tall.”
Heejae immediately hit back with a personal attack.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: Heh? I haven’t been under 180 since middle school......ㅇㅅㅇ
CUrara: Pretty sure you’re the short one ㅇㅅㅇ not even 7cm
CUrara: I’m like three times bigger than you ><
At first, I couldn’t even process what they meant—but a second later, it hit me.
And before I could stop myself, my eyes reflexively glanced at that area of the comfortably seated Shin Heejae.
It really wasn’t on purpose.
But the problem was—he caught my gaze immediately. Our eyes met.
My face flushed red in a flash.
He looked at me with a weirdly intrigued expression, then asked, deadpan:
“You just measured me with your eyes, didn’t you?”
‘Fuuuck…’
I shook my head violently, flustered, but Heejae curled his lips up in a smug grin. That look told me something dangerous was about to come out of his mouth, so I hurriedly slapped a hand over it.
“Haa... If you were curious, you could’ve just asked. When you measured before—”
Shut up!
Was this psycho really about to blurt out his size with the mic still on?!
I silently cursed with my mouth, glaring at him to stop saying disgusting things, but then immediately pulled my hand away—the feel of his lips against my palm was way too gross and soft.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Meanwhile, Urara was absolutely losing it in chat, clearly having heard what Heejae said. It confirmed what I already suspected—Urara was exactly the same kind of freak as Shin Heejae.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CSesam: shut1 the hell up
CUrara: Heeeng ㅇㅅㅇ
Grinding my teeth at the annoying message, I clenched my fist just to calm down. That’s when Heejae finally showed up in the clan room.
You have been invited to a party by ‘Heejae’.
Accept Decline
I pressed Enter with an annoyed grunt. Immediately, our characters were linked by a blue aura. Urara started hopping in place in front of us with the [Jump in Place] motion.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: Heejae oppa, take Rara too ㅇㅅㅇ
Heejae stared at the screen, then zoomed in dramatically on Urara’s character on stream. The chat message Urara had just sent appeared crystal clear on the broadcast.
After a few seconds of that, Heejae said in a completely serious tone:
“See this bastard? Classic toxic netkama.”
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: >_<
CUrara: ?
CUrara: what kind of bullshit is that lololololol
CUrara: I’m not the netkama, Sesam is lol
‘Son of a bitch!’
I immediately swung my staff at Urara for throwing my name under the bus.
Right on cue, Heejae turned to me and asked:
“Sesam-nim. Urara is a netkama, right?”
Driven by vengeance, I typed [Yes] without hesitation. Urara reacted with a bewildered [lolol?].
But Heejae didn’t reply after that. He just teleported to a dungeon zone, and I followed.
“This guy’s name is Urara. Please send whisper spam, thank you.”
Of course, leaving Urara behind wasn’t the end of it. Heejae gave the greenlight to his fans to launch a full-blown harassment campaign.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: ah fuck lol
CUrara: lmaooooooooooooooooooooooo
CUrara: you crazy bastard lol
Apparently bombarded with whispers, Urara started cursing in clan chat—then logged off.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
S‘Ukkikki’ has logged in.
CUkkikki: lmao I’ve never lagged from whispers before lolololololol
CYeou: aaahahahahahahahaha
CUkkikki: I think I just achieved immortality from all those insults lol you psycho
CApssal: zz
They came back on an obvious alt and ranted furiously. Heejae just replied with a childish [ㅇ.ㅇㅗ] and hummed like he was in the best mood ever.
So immature…
Watching him from the side made me sigh from secondhand embarrassment. Unfortunately, that whole mess was just the beginning.
* * *
“Good job today.”
That day, Shin Heejae and I did a two-person speedrun of a max-level dungeon on stream.
The reaction wasn’t bad. Sure, a few clueless viewers asked if I was Yuna’s alt, or what happened with her, or why she left the clan. But Heejae ignored all Yuna-related questions and finished the stream smoothly.
The problem came after the stream ended—when Urara, as if waiting for the moment, challenged Heejae to a PvP match.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: Heejae, let’s do a 10k won match
CUrara: come to Bloody Rain ㅇㅅㅇlol
As soon as I saw that message, I glanced at Heejae next to me. He was typing away at his keyboard with a relaxed look.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CHeejae: ㅇ.ㅇ If you insist... I’ll gladly take your allowance
Other clanmates started reacting enthusiastically.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CYeou: Oooh, you two gonna battle?
CYeou: Let me spectate pls!
CBakibug: ㅠㅠ can we do it later? it’s my last run
CGyeoksal: Just do a 1:1 first, then we can gather for a 4:4?
CApssal: I’m queuing up
CDijimong: Count me in too, hehe
They were jumping in with energy—seemed like everyone here could hold their own.
Heejae didn’t say much and just warped to [Bloody Rain]. I followed, clicked [Spectate], and watched him square off against Urara.
But just before the duel started, Urara randomly picked a fight with me.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: What the heck, if Sesam’s spectating, they’ll see when I use Hidden
CUrara: This is a 2v1 lol
Basically accusing me of feeding Heejae her position during the match.
The [Hidden] skill makes your character invisible to the opponent temporarily. But in [Spectator Mode], you can see through it just fine. Sometimes people give away the location to their friends and ruin fair matches.
What do they take me for…?
I scowled and replied sharply.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CSesam: get a clue
CSesam: I was gonna tell Heejae your location lol
CDijimong: looooooooooool
CYeou: ackkkkk lol
CUrara: lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Urara clearly hadn’t expected that response and broke into giggles. But the moment Heejae saw it, he whipped around and snapped at me.
“Why are you still talking to them?”
What button had I pushed now? He was seriously policing me for typing two replies?
I narrowed my eyes and snapped back.
“I’ll do what I want.”
“Sim Woohyun likes fun girls, you know.”
“Oh my god, do I look like a girl to you, you fucking lunatic?”
He really saw the whole world through his own twisted lens. But Heejae just kept at it, unfazed.
“Don’t lead them on. What if Sim Woohyun turns out to be one of those desperate types?”
“Jesus Christ... Say one more word and I will strangle you with your keyboard cord.”
As we were bickering, Urara suddenly typed into clan chat.
Party Clan Friends Whispers
CUrara: hey guys wanna hop on Discord? ㅇㅅㅇ
CGyeoksal: let’s gooo
Everyone piled into Discord all at once. I glanced at {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} Heejae, who just stared blankly at his monitor.
“Aren’t you joining Discord?”
I thought maybe he missed the chat, but then he said something completely unrelated.
“You wanna hear my voice that bad?”
“Ha…”
I glared at him, stunned, but he didn’t budge.
Is he seriously sulking?
It was ridiculous. I was getting fed up with how he treated every little interaction like it was some relationship checkpoint. So I logged into Discord by myself, loud and clear.
The response was instant.
“Kim Seyoung. Why won’t you answer me properly?”
Hearing him call my name like that—so casually and arrogantly—pissed me off beyond belief.
I turned to him and snapped.
“You called Yuna over to play while I was there too!”
But the words came out so suddenly, I surprised even myself.
I immediately shut my mouth.
Shin Heejae blinked.
