Chapter 33: Ninja life.

After I got Tsunade as my jonin sensei, we returned home together. As soon as we entered the compound, she turned to me.

"So, what will you do now?"

I looked at her, already planning ahead. "I'll train today. From tomorrow onwards, I'll start working on Wood Release jutsu."

She didn't say anything—just nodded and walked off toward her lab. I followed behind, stopping at the door. "Also, pick a few extermination missions when you have time. I want to test my genjutsu on real targets… and loosen up my Wood Release."

Tsunade glanced over her shoulder. "You're planning to use it publicly?"

"Eventually. I can't keep hiding forever if I want to grow stronger."

She sighed, but didn't argue. "I'll see what I can find," she said, and then closed the lab door behind her.

Tsunade would be busy for the next few weeks anyway. Her experiments were nearly complete, and once she succeeded, she'd become almost untouchable. That also meant it would be safer for me to reveal my Wood Release. I could move more freely with less concern about her being vulnerable.

Now that I'd graduated, I had too much on my plate. The clock was ticking.

I needed to retrieve Hashirama and Tobirama's corpses—before someone like Orochimaru found them and used Edo Tensei to bring them back as puppets.

Then came training. I had to master as many B- and A-rank Wood Release techniques as possible before the war.

And eventually, Danzo.

His days were numbered. I didn't know when, but I would be the one to kill him.

Then there was Zetsu—made from Hashirama cells, capable of mayfly movement, and the perfect spy. He would become active around the Third Great Ninja War when Obito was recruited. If I played it right, I could track and eliminate him early. Maybe even interrupt Madara's entire resurrection plan.

But that was later. For now, I focused on what I could control: training.

That evening, Tsunade and I sat together at the dinner table.

Tsunade had just finished wiping down the table when I spoke.

"Where exactly are Grandpa Hashirama and Tobirama buried?"

She paused, then turned to look at me more seriously than before. "They're buried in the Konoha cemetery. Why are you asking?"

"I want to bring them home," I said quietly. "Back to the Senju compound. Where they belong."

Her eyes narrowed slightly. "They had state funerals. The village honored them—"

"But not as family," I cut in. "They were more than symbols of Konoha. They were ours. And more importantly…" I lowered my voice. "I think someone's trying to use Grandpa's body for something. Something dangerous. If we wait too long, we might lose the chance to stop it."

She stared at me in silence, then gave a slow, worried sigh. "You're probably right. We still don't know where the cells being used by others came from… and Hashirama's remains are too valuable to stay unprotected."

"I can handle it," I said firmly.

"I know you can." She glanced away, clearly torn. "But something like this can't be done through official channels."

"I'm not asking for permission," I replied. "We don't announce it. We wait for the right time. If an opportunity comes to leave the village quietly—take it. If not… we go together when we're ready."

Tsunade didn't speak for a moment. Then she nodded once, solemnly.

"Alright," she said softly. "But be careful."

She still didn't know the full extent of my power. That was fine. She'd understand soon enough.

After dinner, we both absorbed a bit of natural energy like usual and went to sleep. Tomorrow would be the real start of my genin journey.

The next morning, Tsunade led me to the Senju clan's jutsu room. She performed several seals and unsealed the barrier. It took effort—even for her.

I whistled softly. "These seals are insane. Mito-sama must've been stronger than people give her credit for."

"She was," Tsunade said, stepping inside. "Grandma was one of the best fuinjutsu users in the world. Not even modern Uzumaki can compare."

"She was also the first jinchuriki of the Nine Tails," I added.

Tsunade nodded. "Yeah. And the current one—Kushina—is Minato's Girl friend. She's also from the Uzumaki clan."

(Author's note :

Now both minato and Kushina are 19 years old ,they will marry at 21. same year when Obito and rin graduate and join under minato as his students.)

I knew this already, of course. But hearing it from her made it more real. The Senju and Uzumaki clans had always been close. Hashirama and Mito's marriage had sealed that bond early on.

We located the advanced Wood Release scrolls and sealed them into a storage scroll for transport. As we left, Tsunade resealed the barrier.

"Don't disappoint me," she said with a slight smirk. "These jutsu aren't for show."

I grinned. "I plan to master them all. Just watch."

With that, we split up. Tsunade returned to her lab to finalize her experiment. I headed to the training ground—eager to start a new chapter.

Author's Note:

Yes, Ren is now seven years old. He joined the Academy at age six and graduated after one year. Some readers are confused, but the timeline is consistent throughout the story.
