"Rinjin-kun, are you sure you haven't mastered any jutsu? Not even the basic three techniques?"
Rinjin shook his head.
"Teacher Ōzora, I really don't know any ninja techniques."
"What about chakra extraction?" Ōzora Chūryū persisted.
Again, Rinjin shook his head.
Ōzora Chūryū paused for a moment, then sighed.
"It's alright, you can learn gradually. Fortunately, you're only jumping to second grade, not third grade, so there's still time to catch up. Don't get discouraged."
His expression then turned serious.
"Don't worry, Rinjin-kun. As your teacher, I won't stand by and watch you fall too far behind your classmates."
Hearing this, Rinjin had an ominous feeling.
What followed confirmed his fears.
"How about this, Rinjin-kun? Stay for two hours after school each day, and I'll give you private tutoring. You can use these two hours for training until you catch up with the missed lessons."
Hearing this, Rinjin was dumbfounded.
What did he mean? Classes end at 3:30, and he wanted to keep him until 5:30?
Teacher, don't you need to date, get married, or go home to your wife?
Even if you don't need to, I do!
I need to work at Master Ippongi's forge!
I need to support myself and Rie!
Oh! Damn it!
Just thinking about wasting so much time at the ninja academy made Rinjin's scalp tingle.
"Um... Teacher, can we discuss something?"
"Go ahead!"
"Well... Teacher Ōzora, could I skip the combat training and use that time to catch up on lessons instead?
After all, combat training is just fighting back and forth, it seems a bit boring!"
Hearing Rinjin's request to skip combat training, Ōzora Chūryū's brows immediately furrowed.
What did this kid think the ninja academy was, a secretarial school?! Even medical ninjas had to take combat training!
Ōzora Chūryū was about to refuse when an arrogant voice cut in.
"New guy?"
"Heh~ You act as arrogant as an attention-seeking clown!"
Rinjin seemed to ignore the mockery behind him, still looking expectantly at Ōzora Chūryū.
Ōzora Chūryū had heard the comment too, and his brow furrowed as he looked toward the speaker.
When he saw who it was, his frown deepened.
Ryōta Uchiha, a top student in the class. Though his grades were excellent, he had that typical Uchiha attitude of looking down on everyone, which made him quite unpopular.
When Ryōta Uchiha saw that Rinjin wasn't paying him any attention, he felt a strong sense of humiliation surge through him.
Children his age were always eager to prove themselves.
It was also the age when they were most self-centered.
Even with Ōzora Chūryū present, he showed no fear.
After all, his uncle was Kagami Uchiha, a direct disciple of the Hokage!
Rinjin didn't know about this unfortunate child's connection to Kagami Uchiha, but even if he did, he wouldn't have cared.
Though he was just an undercover agent, the only one who could really match him in strategy was probably the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.
It wasn't that Rinjin looked down on Konoha's higher-ups, but rather that people who relied too heavily on physical power often let their minds grow simple.
Just like Black Zetsu in the original story - he wasn't particularly impressive, but how did he manage to orchestrate such a massive conspiracy? Simply because he used his head.
That's why Rinjin didn't think much of any of the bloodline successors from the original story.
Instead, it was the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju, the tragic Itachi Uchiha, and the Sixth Hokage Kakashi whom Rinjin truly respected.
Ryōta Uchiha was furious, his young face contorting with anger.
"Teacher Ōzora, let me fight him! Let's see what he's made of!"
Ryōta Uchiha pointed at Rinjin with contempt.
Ōzora Chūryū felt a headache coming on.
He wasn't angry about a kid's arrogant words, but rather frustrated about why all Uchiha had such a superior attitude.
They either walked around with cold expressions, young in age but full of wrinkles.
Or like Ryōta here, not only arrogant but unable to tolerate being ignored.
The small commotion quickly drew attention on the training ground.
Students stopped their practice and gathered around in groups, including some of Ryōta Uchiha's young female admirers.
It wasn't about being shallow or superficial; the Uchiha name was prestigious, and they always had a group of admirers wherever they went.
However, these young admirers, mindful of the teachers' authority, didn't dare to shout out loud.
Still, they glared at Rinjin fiercely, as if he had committed some grave offense against them.
Emboldened by his support group, Ryōta Uchiha grew even more confident, looking at Rinjin smugly.
"New guy, I'll fight you with one hand tied behind my back."
He dramatically put one hand behind his back, drawing cheers from his watching admirers.
Rinjin remained unmoved.
He didn't want to engage with this type, feeling that once he got involved with such people, his own intelligence might be affected by association.
After all, talents like Prince Naruto specialized in bringing their opponents down to their own intellectual level before defeating them with experience.
Seeing Rinjin standing like a wooden post, not even glancing his way, Ryōta Uchiha finally snapped.
"You asked for it, kid."
With that, he suddenly shoved Rinjin from behind.
Caught off guard, Rinjin stumbled forward.
As Rinjin appeared about to fall, a look of satisfaction flashed in Ryōta Uchiha's eyes.
Hah! That'll teach you to act cool! Fall flat on your face!
Ōzora Chūryū hadn't expected Ryōta Uchiha to be so bold as to bully a classmate right in front of him.
Still, he thought a little lesson might be good for Rinjin, to cure him of his desire to skip combat training.
From the crowd, the white-haired boy who had been lying on the ground had gotten up, covered in dust, and was silently moving forward to help Rinjin.
Just as Rinjin seemed about to fall, he suddenly stepped forward with his right foot.
"BOOM!"
With a terrifying crash, Rinjin's right foot slammed down.
The next instant, a three-meter-wide crater appeared under his foot, covered in countless cracks, as air pressure and dust exploded outward from around his right foot.
The crowd froze as if someone had hit pause.
Ryōta Uchiha, who had been standing behind Rinjin with his arms crossed, lost all trace of smugness. His expression froze, and sweat poured down his forehead, mixing with the dust in the air to create a particularly comical sight.
"Mon... monster!"
From among the circle of children, a chubby little boy pointed at Rinjin and started shouting frantically.
Immediately, the sound of collective gulping could be heard throughout the crowd.
In the crowd, a beautiful girl with a golden high ponytail stared at the finely cracked ground under Rinjin's feet with absolute shock, unconsciously wiping cold sweat from her forehead.
Monster - this guy's strength was simply terrifying!
Even the Senju clan, known for their physical prowess, didn't have anyone this powerful at his age.
And this guy hadn't even gathered his strength or charged up - he had just instinctively put his foot down!
Ōzora Chūryū, standing beside Rinjin, was even more shocked.
The academy's training ground wasn't just ordinary dirt.
This was heavily compacted yellow earth!
This kind of densely packed ground was perfect for ninja combat, and not just second-graders, but even sixth-graders who had mastered various ninjutsu and taijutsu couldn't cause this kind of terrifying damage.
Ōzora Chūryū's heart pounded as he looked at the ground.
To put it bluntly, even his strongest jutsu could barely cause this much damage to such ground.
The white-haired boy closest to Rinjin sat down hard, his eyes as round as saucers, and involuntarily exclaimed, "That's... that's amazing!"
At this moment, Rinjin slowly straightened up.
Seeing this, Ōzora Chūryū instantly appeared in front of the terrified Ryōta Uchiha.
If pushing and shoving could be considered children's play, this guy's power was far beyond breaking bones.
With such tremendous force hitting a body, there would only be one outcome - death!
The other two ninja instructors present reacted just as quickly, one flashing between Rinjin and Ryōta, while the other cautiously pulled the stunned Ryōta Uchiha back.
Rinjin silently stood straight, expressionlessly looked at the ground before him, then suddenly turned to face Ōzora Chūryū.
Ōzora Chūryū felt like he was being stared down by a fierce beast, cold sweat involuntarily breaking out on his back as he maintained his guard against Rinjin.
Then Rinjin's expressionless face suddenly contorted, forcing an awkward grin.
"Teacher Ōzora, well... I'm a blacksmith, so it's pretty normal for me to be a bit stronger.
By the way... I don't have to pay for this, right?"
Everyone immediately broke out in cold sweat, nearly falling over backwards.
What the hell! At a time like this, this guy was worried about paying for damages!
What the @#¥%...
Monster! What was wrong with this guy's head!
Too scary, Mommy, I want to go home!
Everyone's minds were racing with shocked thoughts.
Only the white-haired kid foolishly stood up and heartily patted Rinjin's shoulder.
The crowd's hearts skipped another beat.
"New guy, of course you don't have to pay! I saw everything - it was Ryōta Uchiha who pushed you, if anyone should pay, it's him!"
Hearing this, Rinjin's eyes lit up, and he immediately threw an arm around the dirty white-haired kid's shoulders.
"Brother, you speak the truth! Of all the people here, you're the only one with a sense of justice!"
The white-haired kid burst out laughing, thumping his chest proudly.
"Naturally!"
Rinjin laughed too.
This guy had been beaten up earlier but hadn't gotten angry, and when he saw Rinjin being pushed, he was the first to try to help - he really had a warm heart.
"Good brother, what's your name?" Rinjin asked.
"Haha! Watch this!"
The white-haired kid released himself from Rinjin, hopped back two steps, then stood on one foot, stretched out his right palm, and struck a flamboyant pose.
"Yo! I am... the great Jiraiya!"
