Chapter 466: Chapter 466: The Kara Plan Goes Bankrupt and Hashirama is Treated!?
After a long silence, Nagato was the first to react.
"This body is real," he said, his tone heavy. "And the village is likely in chaos right now."
He turned to Yahiko. "Yahiko, Amegakure needs us at this moment!"
Nagato's directness was fitting. With Hanzō of the Salamander dead, the Rain Village was bound to descend into chaos. At such a critical time, a strong leader was necessary to stabilize it. As the leader of the Akatsuki, Yahiko was the obvious choice.
"Let's head there together. Maybe we can help," Jiraiya added, though his expression was troubled.
Madara Uchiha's actions were as reckless as ever. With Hanzo, the leader of Amegakure, killed by someone associated with Konoha, tensions between the Rain Village and Konoha could easily escalate. This could lead to prolonged conflict, something Jiraiya wished to avoid.
"That guy is still so ridiculously strong!" Inuzuka Claw exclaimed with awe. "If I had that kind of power, I'd handle things just like him!"
Claw's warlike nature showed in his words. He wasn't one for strategy or diplomacy. If he had the strength, he would've charged straight at Hanzo to settle things.
"Okay, let's focus," Akimichi Dingza said, his tone calm yet serious. "We should cooperate with Amegakure to manage the aftermath."
Dingza, however, couldn't help but glance toward the direction where Uchiha Madara had left. Those who had faced the brutal realities of war knew the power of swift, decisive strikes. Madara's "decapitation strategy" was ruthlessly efficient.
Even Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan couldn't hide their shock. The body lying before them—Hanzo—had been an insurmountable obstacle for so long. And now, he had been dispatched so effortlessly.
Elsewhere, in a cave within the Land of Fire…
"Hanzo was killed," an operative from the Kara Organization stated grimly. "Along with his loyal guards."
He paused before adding, "The one who did it was Madara Uchiha, the legendary 'Demon of the Ninja World.' And the so-called geniuses Hanzo gathered were nothing more than mediocre pretenders. The plan has failed."
The man sighed, frustration etched across his face. The Kara Organization had carefully calculated the behaviors of Konoha and other ninja villages. Initially, their plan had placed immense pressure on Konoha while allowing them to collect supposed "geniuses."
But they had failed to account for one wildcard: Madara Uchiha.
"He doesn't negotiate or strategize like others," the operative continued. "He simply relies on overwhelming power. And this time, he solved the problem by killing Hanzo outright."
"If he's dead, then so be it," Ishiki replied coldly, holding a small vial of potion in his hand. "Hanzo was just a useless pawn. Konoha's real mistake was leaking this potion. It's incredibly effective for me."
"Master," one of the Kara members hesitated before speaking. "Does this mean we're abandoning the ninja world?"
"Not at all," Ishiki said, stepping into a swirling space vortex. "But there's no need for us to act yet. When my body fully recovers, the ninja world will belong to the Kara Organization. Be patient."
The swirling vortex closed behind him.
The remaining operative clenched his fists, anger flashing in his eyes. "Wait? Always waiting…" He turned and stormed out of the cave.
Back in Konoha…
Reiki looked at Uchiha Madara with confusion as they returned to the village. "Madara-sama, what are you doing? Did you bring me all the way back here just to show me Konoha?"
He couldn't understand why Madara had gone to such lengths. Nothing particularly notable seemed to be happening in Konoha at the moment.
"Come with me," Madara said, ignoring Reiki's confusion. "There's something I want you to see."
With that, Madara led Reiki toward a hidden location within Iwagao.
Upon arriving at a massive seal, Madara quickly performed a series of hand signs to release it. He then gestured for Reiki to follow him inside.
Inside the Sealed Area…
"Where are we?" Reiki asked, his curiosity piqued as he surveyed the unfamiliar surroundings.
Though he considered himself well-versed in Konoha's history, he had no knowledge of this place.
But as they ventured deeper, a name suddenly appeared on Reiki's system panel: Senju Hashirama.
"The First Hokage…?" Reiki whispered, his eyes widening as he spotted the figure of Hashirama Senju sitting cross-legged at the base of a massive tree.
The tree itself seemed to have grown directly from Hashirama's body—a possible result of his Wood Release abilities.
"With your unique abilities, you must know why I brought you here," Madara said, his voice trembling slightly.
"Is he… dead?" Reiki asked, his gaze fixed on the motionless figure.
"No," Madara replied, his expression betraying a mix of emotions. "At least, not entirely. He once tried to stop me, pushing his Wood Release to its limits. This… this was the result."
Though Madara's voice carried no regret, his trembling hands hinted at his true feelings.
"I'll try," Reiki said after a pause. "But I can't guarantee success."
He stepped forward, examining the potion bottles lying beside Hashirama. It became clear that Madara had been trying to revive him using these concoctions, though to no avail.
"Let me know if you need anything," Madara said, his voice steadying. "Can I stay and watch?"
"Of course," Reiki replied, beginning the delicate process of treating Senju Hashirama.
