Chapter 346: If Obito Saw Rin

"Sorry, Sasuke, but can we push it a bit later? I have dinner plans with Kakashi tonight."

This familiar gesture made Sasuke momentarily think Haneda might refuse, but when he heard the answer, his small, pouty face lit up with a big smile.

He nodded enthusiastically. "Alright, Uncle Haneda! Just don't be late—I'll wait for you with Naruto!"

Naruto, despite feeling slightly resentful over Haneda's sudden return, couldn't help but feel delighted at the prospect of training with both Sasuke and Haneda.

He quickly added, "Yeah, yeah! Sasuke and I will wait for you. Just don't lose sight of yourself while eating with Kakashi!"

"Do you all think I'm like Obito, always late? What nonsense…"

Haneda muttered a few complaints as he followed Naruto and the others on their way home from school.

He stayed a little behind them, noticing how Gaara and Shikamaru always seemed a bit reserved when he spoke with Naruto and Sasuke.

Haneda didn't like that feeling of awkwardness, so he stayed further back, appearing more relaxed.

Besides, like any other parent walking with children, Haneda enjoyed watching the kids bounce and skip along in front of him.

Both were decent cooks, so when they did cook together, it made the meals feel special.

Although the restaurant's décor had changed and some of their favorite dishes were gone, it was still a place full of memories.

Whenever they ate there, they would inevitably reminisce about the past.

Haneda popped a piece of grilled meat into his mouth, speaking through the delicious warmth, "Soon, very soon. It'll likely happen during the fusion process."

In some ways, Kakashi himself was one of those who lived with pain.

At the mention of Rin, Kakashi paused, his chopsticks halting mid-air. He replied in a low voice, "It's in the Kamui dimension."

"I used Kamui to retrieve a kunai marked with my Flying Raijin seal and teleported into the Kamui dimension."

"After searching for a while, I found a coffin in a corner. Inside it lay Rin's body."

"Her body is perfectly preserved, uncorrupted. She lies there quietly, as if merely asleep, never waking."
