Chapter 180: Danzo's Humiliation and Haneda's Plans for the Future

"Alright, Asuma," Haneda said, waving his hand. "We're on a police mission here." Asuma stepped back, though he spat toward Danzo one last time before leaving, satisfied.

Danzo, now crushed, was escorted to the prison. Haneda instructed the guards, "Make sure Elder Danzo gets the full Uchiha hospitality."

For now, Haneda had no intention of directly punishing Danzo—he wanted to avoid diminishing the authority of the newly appointed Hokage, Minato. If Danzo were to die in prison, it could shake Konoha's unity, as many would question such a swift removal of a high-ranking official. Besides, Root still operated with many agents out on missions, and Haneda knew that keeping Danzo alive for now was strategically necessary.

As Haneda left the prison, he whispered to the guard, "Just don't kill him." The guard, an Uchiha, chuckled, knowing very well how Danzo had long targeted their clan. They'd certainly make Danzo feel unwelcome!

Once Haneda and the others departed, Danzo's eyes regained a cold, determined gleam. He was a true ninja—one who could endure anything. A little betrayal, a little humiliation? Worthless! Danzo had inherited the Second Hokage's vision for Konoha. He would never bow to an "inherently evil" Uchiha.

Danzo had already ordered the destruction of any evidence in the Root base. Surely, Hiruzen, as well as Koharu and Homura, would come to his aid—whether due to personal loyalty or self-interest. When the time came, he would repay this humiliation tenfold.

At that moment, Danzo felt a foul-smelling liquid dripping onto him. Looking up, he realized it was urine! Despite trying to dodge, he was soaked. Danzo sat in silence, gripping his pants, seething inside. He, the leader of Root, "the darkness of the shinobi world," had fallen to such shame.

Meanwhile, the guards upstairs were reveling in their "leak." The Uchiha clan had once been silent and submissive to Konoha's leadership, but now they were asserting themselves. As long as they didn't physically harm him, they could still express their disdain. "Let's make this the new toilet," they joked, excusing the "leaks" as typical for an old prison.

Haneda was unaware of this incident, but even if he knew, he'd only chuckle and leave it be. His focus had shifted—dealing with Danzo was no longer a priority. Danzo wouldn't dare escape unless he wanted to become a rogue ninja. Haneda had other plans, like preparing for the Nine-Tails incident. Kushina was now three months pregnant, meaning there were seven months left until the crisis.

Regardless of Obito's motives, Haneda planned to stop him. He knew Obito had been avoiding him, but he expected Obito to surface during the crisis, giving Haneda a chance to confront him and perhaps bring him back.

Haneda glanced at his right arm. After three days, the face imprinted by the First Hokage's cells had lightened slightly. While the First's cells were a valuable asset, Haneda intended to take additional precautions. He planned to restart his training in Flying Thunder God, combining it with his blade and lightning techniques. Flying Thunder God alone could change the course of a battle, as seen in the Fourth Shinobi War.

He also aimed to master sealing techniques, especially the Yin Seal, and hoped to learn it from Tsunade, given their bond. However, as only two kunoichi had successfully mastered the Yin Seal, there might be a gender-specific requirement. Haneda wanted to deepen his sealing knowledge to modify the technique, if necessary, to make it compatible with his own body.

In addition, he remembered a mysterious nation in the Land of Wind: Roran, the site of a vast chakra source and the legendary Dragon Vein, capable of reversing time and space. Haneda aimed to seal the Dragon Vein within himself to achieve a "tailless Tailed Beast" state, which would also be useful in the Nine-Tails crisis.

That afternoon, Minato was set to hold his first Jonin meeting as Hokage. Fifteen minutes before the meeting, the conference room was nearly full, with even the Third Hokage and two other elders already seated. Danzo's arrest had made the elders cautious, encouraging them to arrive early.

Minato, glancing around the room, saw that nearly everyone had arrived and apologized, "Sorry I'm late." His familiar warmth instantly eased the tension in the room. The Third Hokage smiled, "You're not late, Minato." Minato chuckled and scanned the room, noticing the empty seats reserved for Haneda and Kakashi, which reminded him of Obito's constant tardiness—always with excuses about helping old ladies.

The room grew quiet, as everyone sensed Minato was waiting for Haneda and Kakashi. And indeed, just as the clock struck the exact meeting time, footsteps echoed, and Haneda and Kakashi entered.

"Sorry, Sensei (or Minato)," they said in unison, "we got lost on the path of life."
