Chapter 135: The Kara Organization Attacks
"How is that possible?" Kawaki exclaimed.
Konoha's guards, Sarada and Mitsuki, all showed shocked expressions.
It seemed they hadn't expected that within Konoha village, an ordinary pedestrian could withstand Kawaki's terrifying attack.
*Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!*
Clear footsteps echoed.
The man who was attacked walked slowly toward Kawaki, his eyes cold, indifferent, and arrogant.
Kawaki wanted to retreat, but for some reason, he couldn't control his body. He could only stare at the man approaching with a hint of fear until the man reached him.
The man, standing over 185 cm, nearly 190 cm, towered over Kawaki.
From above, he exuded boundless pressure.
Kawaki saw the man extend his right hand, place it on his head, and lift him until they were eye-level.
"Damn it… what the hell are you…?"
Kawaki's final words were cut off as he saw a purple light flash in the man's eyes, and his consciousness plunged into chaos.
Not far away, Sarada shouted, "Stop! Don't hurt him!"
"!"
The man heard her, turned his head, and gave Sarada a cold glance.
"A Uchiha descendant able to activate a two-tomoe Sharingan at twelve years old—you're far stronger than your useless father."
"Damn it! More weird talk like that! Who the hell are you?!" Sarada said, slightly angry.
The man in front of her suddenly vanished without a trace.
And Kawaki, who had been in his grasp, collapsed unconscious on the ground.
Sarada and Mitsuki hurriedly approached, helping Kawaki to his feet.
Soon after, Boruto-era Naruto arrived with a group of people. After grasping the situation, he showed a serious expression.
"Capable of stopping a rampaging Kawaki? That's not something an ordinary person could do… It seems Konoha isn't safe either… Could this be the same person who helped Guy-sensei?"
◆━⊰✧⊱━◆
A Few Days Later
The outskirts of Konoha village.
*WHOOSH!* *WHOOSH!*
Two figures fiercely chased each other, creating booming sounds.
Finally, Boruto fell from the air, clutching his bruised arm and shouting, "How am I supposed to do it out of nowhere like that? You have to teach me how to control the Kama!"
"Tch! I didn't expect you to be this dumb." Kawaki said, his expression vastly different from when he was rampaging in the streets earlier.
After escaping the Kara Organization, entering Konoha, and living in Naruto's house, Kawaki—who had endured endless torment in Kara since childhood—felt a warmth he hadn't known in years.
This warmth gradually softened Kawaki's cold heart, leading him to cooperate with Naruto and Boruto, deepening their friendship.
"Damn it! How dare you say that again!" Boruto said angrily.
"Why can't you do something you've already done once?" Kawaki said helplessly.
Recalling when Boruto had used the Kama before.
"Stop talking! I was desperate back then, I didn't know what I was doing!" Boruto shouted.
"Tch! Then you really are too dumb." Kawaki said.
Boruto grew angrier and was about to say something when Kawaki suddenly spoke, "Before… the man who stopped my rampage, do you have any information on him?"
"That man… nothing yet." Boruto-era Naruto said, approaching with Himawari.
"Is that so? That guy's dangerous. I felt a terrifying aura from him…" Kawaki said.
"Thanks for the warning, Kawaki." Boruto-era Naruto smiled.
"A dangerous unknown enemy is hiding in your village, and you can still smile?" Kawaki frowned.
"Hahaha… we've been trying to find him, but if we can't, what can we do? Besides, he didn't hurt you or the villagers back then—maybe he's a good person?" Boruto-era Naruto said optimistically.
"Tch, naive fool." Kawaki sneered.
"Alright, if the training spar is over, let's make peace… hm?" Boruto-era Naruto's words were cut off, his expression suddenly turning serious.
"What's wrong, Dad?" Boruto asked, noticing Naruto's uneasy look.
"Boruto, take Himawari and go. An enemy is coming toward us, probably for Kawaki." Boruto-era Naruto said seriously.
"Damn it!" Kawaki's expression changed.
"You go with Boruto too. I'll stay here to face the enemy." Boruto-era Naruto said again.
Before Kawaki could respond, a flash of light streaked from the sky and crashed to the ground!
*BOOM!!!*
A massive roar erupted, and a powerful energy blast hit, causing everyone to instinctively raise their hands to shield their faces, looking toward the explosion.
As the smoke slowly cleared, a woman with golden hair, purple eyes, wearing a blue top, black cloak, and knee-high white boots appeared.
"You're Delta!" Kawaki stared at the woman, sweating, his expression a mix of anger and anxiety.
"Kawaki, is this woman also from Kara?" Naruto asked, looking at Delta.
"She's Delta, a Kara executive. One of their core members." Kawaki answered, his expression growing tenser.
"I know you, Uzumaki Naruto." Delta said, raising her head arrogantly, looking at Boruto-era Naruto. "The leader of Konoha's ninjas, the so-called Hokage, right? Though it's an honor to meet you, could you step aside now? Don't interfere with my work. I'm here for the person behind you."
"Be careful, all the core members are monsters—nothing an ordinary person can handle." Kawaki warned tensely.
"…"
Boruto saw Kawaki's expression and grew serious too.
He hadn't expected Kawaki, who was so strong, to change so drastically.
(This woman must be truly terrifying… I wonder if Dad can handle her. If only Dad had the immense power of Big Brother Naruto. Then he could take down this annoying woman with one punch!)
(Damn it! Why am I thinking about Big Brother Naruto again… Big Brother Naruto is gone. Facing a strong enemy now, we have to rely on our own strength!)
Boruto thought to himself, clenching his fists.
"Sorry, Kawaki is an honored guest in our home. It's not appropriate for him to interact with strangers of unknown identity." Boruto-era Naruto said seriously.
"Oh? Is that so?" Delta closed her eyes.
"You have a talent for making people angry. In that case, I'll kill you!"
Delta suddenly opened her eyes.
"Dad!" Boruto said nervously.
"Step back, Boruto, protect Himawari. Kawaki, just focus on keeping yourself safe." Boruto-era Naruto said, slowly walking toward Delta.
The wind blew, making Delta's earrings jingle.
The next second, Delta shot toward Boruto-era Naruto.
*BOOM!*
Their battle began.
Two streaks of light clashed, the ground cracking with every inch.
Boruto and Kawaki pulled Himawari back, but their eyes stayed glued to the fight.
Though they could only see fleeting shadows, they had to ensure their distance from the combatants and their own safety.
Not far away, Imperial Sasuke leaned against a tree, casually watching the battle.
His expression showed slight surprise.
"As expected, following that kid named Kawaki was the right move—here comes the surprise. That woman's an artificial human, and her power is at least high-Kage level. This technique isn't bad; enhancing an artificial human to this strength rivals the Empire's technology."
"It's indeed a future worth exploring. There's value here. After this, I'll make sure to bring the person behind this back to the Empire. But… Naruto in this world, as I suspected, is as useless as I am in this world… Just a high-Kage level. Is it that hard to defeat him?"
"Naruto in this world has decent recovery, probably from Kyuubi ' power. Heh… pathetic, relying too much on a pet's strength. People like that will never become truly strong."
To ordinary eyes, the battle was intense, too fast to even catch shadows.
To Imperial Sasuke, it was just two kids fighting.
He commented casually.
Until…
*BUZZ!*
Delta's eyes flashed purple, and two beams of purple light shot out.
After Boruto-era Naruto dodged, the beams pierced through trees, and their roots, at a speed visible to the naked eye, seemed to age thousands of years, crumbling into dust with a gust of wind.
"A destructive attack targeting recovery and regeneration? As expected! The future always brings surprises!" Imperial Sasuke's spirits lifted, his back slowly leaving the tree.
Boruto-era Naruto, fighting Delta, also sensed an unusual danger and grew more cautious.
The battle continued.
But a serious Boruto-era Naruto quickly overpowered Delta with his immense strength, forcing her to retreat repeatedly, her expression twisting.
After being knocked back again, Delta, keeping her distance from Boruto-era Naruto, suddenly smirked slyly. Then, her eyes glowed purple, aiming to shoot toward Himawari.
*BOOM!*
Boruto-era Naruto surged forward, punching Delta's face, knocking her down and redirecting her attack.
But at the same time, Delta used the force to launch herself toward Himawari and Boruto.
"Damn it!" Boruto-era Naruto cursed anxiously, chasing after her.
But the distance between them was always just out of reach.
As Delta closed in, she punched Boruto, sending him flying. Naruto, worried for his son, quickly moved to catch him. When he looked up, Delta had already grabbed Himawari by the collar, lifting her.
Boruto was furious, the Kama pattern appearing. A Rasengan formed in his right hand, and he threw it, but it was useless.
Delta merely turned her head, her eyes absorbing the Rasengan.
"Too bad, kid." she laughed, in high spirits.
"Next…"
With those words, Delta swung her right arm, hurling Himawari into the air.
"Damn it!" Boruto-era Naruto cursed, leaping toward Himawari.
"Hehehehehe! This time, it'll hit!" Delta laughed menacingly, her eyes glowing purple again as two laser beams shot toward Boruto-era Naruto!
"Dad! Watch out behind you!" Himawari, still in the air, shouted in fear.
Boruto's pupils shrank, his face showing unconscious fear.
(How did it come to this? Dad was clearly winning, but because of us, he's at a disadvantage!)
(That purple light is dangerous—if it hits, even Dad's recovery will be destroyed! What do I do?! What do I do?!)
Boruto's heart raced, helpless in that moment.
*BOOM!!!!*
A massive explosion roared.
Thick smoke obscured Boruto's view.
Delta's hysterical laughter rang out, "Hahahahaha… Uzumaki Naruto, you're not that great! Hm?"
Her laughter stopped abruptly.
Because she saw Naruto holding Himawari, landing safely.
This left her in disbelief. "How is that possible? You blocked it?"
"No… I didn't." Boruto-era Naruto shook his head, hugging Himawari and looking at the smoke.
This surprised Delta, who also turned to look.
As the smoke cleared, a sturdy, black-haired man in ordinary clothes appeared.
He was surrounded by a shrunken Perfect Form Susanoo, its armor wreathed in black flames, arms crossed arrogantly as he looked at everyone.
"Who are you?" Delta gritted her teeth, slightly angry.
She had nearly killed Naruto, proving she was the strongest in the organization. Why did this annoying man appear?!
"Thank you, brother." Boruto-era Naruto said kindly to the figure in the sky, though his eyes were filled with deep curiosity.
The energy armor on the man resembled Susanoo, and those black flames… Amaterasu?
Was this man from the Uchiha clan?
"Good…" Boruto sighed in relief.
In the distance, Kashin Koji, watching the battle through a toad, showed a shocked expression. "An unexpected person appeared… completely off the radar… what's going on?"
Kawaki's pupils shrank. He had initially intended to leap into the air to block the attack, but at that moment, he saw a figure flash by.
This told him someone else had moved to stop it.
That was good.
But what confused him was why this man, after blocking the attack, was completely unharmed?
It was a powerful attack that could destroy an enemy at the cellular level!
How did he do it?
And this appearance!
It was him!
"You!" Kawaki recalled the man he met when first brought to Konoha and escaped, shouting immediately.
"Hm? Kawaki, you know this guy?" Boruto-era Naruto asked, surprised.
"This is the guy who stopped me before. He's dangerous, very dangerous… maybe even stronger than you!" Kawaki shouted.
"Is that so? Stronger than me? That's great, looks like we're safe now." Boruto-era Naruto smiled.
"Truly disappointing, Uzumaki Naruto. I thought you'd perform better than this. But this is all you've got? In that fight, you relied entirely on Kyuubi power." the man in the sky—Imperial Sasuke in disguise—said, ignoring Kawaki and Naruto's conversation, staring only at Boruto-era Naruto.
