Chapter 21: [Absolute Justice] Knows No Public or Private Boundaries 

A few minutes later, the office was left with just Uchiha Fugaku, the Uchiha ninja who had reported on the Gekko clan case to Fugaku earlier, and Naruto Uzumaki, who had been unceremoniously dropped there by Uchiha Ikeizumi.

Uchiha Ikeizumi and Izumi had already left the Police Force building.

Fugaku and Naruto were now staring wide-eyed at each other.

Fugaku remembered even more clearly the shocking piece of information Ikeizumi had revealed the moment he walked out the door.

—Danzo Shimura had transplanted Sharingan eyes on his body, and… there was more than one Sharingan.

—He could also use "Izanagi"!

This inconceivable revelation sent shivers down Fugaku's spine.

Indeed.

Uchiha Ikeizumi had no responsibility or obligation to keep Danzo's secret.

"Danzo, Ikeizumi has already informed me of your secret. You say you don't know what I'm talking about, then can you show me what you're hiding beneath your bandages?"

He stared intently at Danzo, his eyes piercing.

One could see Danzo's expression visibly grow uglier.

Hiruzen Sarutobi said in a deep voice, "You and I have been comrades for many years. Your expression might fool others, but not me. Now, give me an explanation that will prevent me from stripping you of your rank!"

"You want to strip me of my rank?" Danzo's face was filled with disbelief: "How many merits have I accumulated for Konoha over these years? Just for the sake of some Sharingan, you want to remove me?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze was profound: "Therefore, I'm giving you a chance. You must give me an explanation that satisfies everyone."

Danzo suddenly caught on, and he sneered, "You actually just want an explanation that satisfies 'you,' don't you?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi did not take the bait.

He simply continued to quietly stare at Danzo.

"Uchiha Ikeizumi… took the Jinchuriki?" Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado, two of Konoha's highest authorities, soon received the incredibly perplexing news.

Calling it news was an understatement; the incident had already spread throughout most of Konoha.

However, most villagers only knew the rumors of Naruto Uzumaki having a "demon fox incarnation."

They had no concept of a "tailed beast Jinchuriki."

"And… Hiruzen was there too?" Koharu Utatane found it utterly unbelievable: "How could he allow the Jinchuriki to be taken by someone from the Uchiha clan? And to the Uchiha compound, no less!"

Koharu Utatane couldn't sit still. She stood up, pacing back and forth, saying, "No! We must get the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki back! He absolutely cannot remain in the Uchiha clan compound!"

Recalling the Nine-Tails attack from several years ago, Koharu Utatane couldn't help but feel a shiver down her spine.

Just as she was frowning in thought, she noticed that Homura Mitokado had remained silent. She couldn't help but glare at him, displeased: "Well, say something, won't you?"

Homura Mitokado said in a deep voice, "Do you think the person Uchiha Ikeizumi took is so easily brought back? That's an Uchiha that even Hiruzen finds troublesome."

Koharu Utatane gritted her teeth, "Then are we just to stand by and watch the Nine-Tails attack happen again?"

"We don't need to directly conflict with Uchiha Ikeizumi."
