The battlefield at Congyun Mountain was filled with a tension so thick it felt suffocating. The Uchiha army, 2,000 strong, poured out from Baili Stone City. Though their numbers were dwarfed by the nearly 5,000 soldiers of the Senju Alliance, the Uchiha warriors marched with unparalleled confidence.

Their strength didn't come from numbers but from the two figures leading them at the front: Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Izuna.

Every Uchiha soldier believed with unshakable faith: as long as these two stand, no one can stop them—not even Senju Hashirama.

"Hahaha! Izuna, it feels like it's been years since we fought side by side!" Madara's booming laughter echoed across the marching lines.

Izuna rolled his eyes. "I can't even remember the last time," he replied dryly.

Madara's excitement was palpable. Ever since taking over as the Uchiha clan leader, he and Izuna had rarely fought together. Their responsibilities as leaders often kept them in separate theaters of war. It had been years since the two brothers could join forces on the battlefield.

Meanwhile, the Senju Alliance stood ready, their formation organized yet overshadowed by uncertainty.

The Alliance, composed of Senju, Hatake, Kaguya, and several smaller clans, boasted nearly 5,000 troops. Their numerical superiority should have inspired confidence. Yet, news of the Northern Front's collapse had already spread, and the devastating loss weighed heavily on their morale.

The most unsettling part? Senju Hashirama's recent orders.

"A duel between me, Madara, and Izuna," Hashirama had declared, much to the shock of his generals.

"Hashirama, this is madness!" protested Uzumaki Guanghai, his aged face lined with worry. "Do you truly think you can take on both Madara and Izuna? Even if you are the God of Shinobi, this is suicide!"

Hatake Sakusuki nodded grimly. "We hold the numerical advantage. If we attack them directly, we still have a chance. Risking yourself in a duel is too reckless!"

Hashirama, however, remained calm. His voice carried an undeniable weight of authority as he explained, "If Madara is as strong as Izuna now, then numbers will mean nothing. They'll cut through us regardless. I have to do this."

The silence that followed was deafening. His words rang true. If the Uchiha brothers had truly surpassed mortal limits, no number of soldiers could stand against them.

"But, Clan Leader," Senju Yunma spoke hesitantly, "if something happens to you… the Senju—no, the entire Alliance—will collapse."

Hashirama offered a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. I trust Madara and Izuna won't kill me."

The room fell silent again, but this time it wasn't out of agreement—it was disbelief.

Trust? Was Hashirama serious? The Uchiha were their mortal enemies, and the war had already claimed countless lives. What made him so sure that the two brothers wouldn't strike him down?

Hashirama chuckled awkwardly, realizing how absurd his statement sounded. "If I sense any danger, I'll signal for reinforcements immediately. Is that acceptable?"

The leaders exchanged uncertain glances but ultimately nodded. Hashirama's resolve was unshakable. They could only hope his faith wasn't misplaced.

The Uchiha army halted half a mile from the Senju formation. Madara stepped forward, his voice booming across the battlefield. "HASHIRAMA! What's with this ridiculous display? Do you think standing there will stop us?"

Hashirama stepped forward from the Senju ranks, his presence as commanding as ever. "Madara, Izuna, I propose a duel! The three of us will fight to determine the outcome of this war."

His words stunned both armies.

Madara raised an eyebrow, then smirked. "A duel? Are you suggesting a surrender agreement, Hashirama?"

The Uchiha forces erupted into murmurs, questioning their opponent's motives. Meanwhile, the Senju soldiers were equally stunned.

Hashirama ignored the murmurs and calmly unfolded a scroll. He placed it on a wooden table he had created with Wood Release, ensuring both sides could see it clearly.

The scroll outlined the terms of the duel:

A three-way battle between Senju Hashirama, Uchiha Madara, and Uchiha Izuna.

If Uchiha emerged victorious, the Senju would cede a large section of land to them.

If Senju won, the specific terms would be negotiated post-battle.

The simplicity of the terms only made it more shocking. A war that had raged for years, with thousands of lives lost, now rested on a single battle between three people.

Uchiha Yanhuo, standing among the Uchiha soldiers, whispered anxiously, "Deputy Clan Leader, isn't this a trap? Hashirama alone is dangerous enough, but now he wants to fight both of you?"

Madara sneered. "Trap or not, it doesn't matter. No one in this world can stand against Izuna and me—not even Hashirama."

Izuna, standing beside his brother, rolled his eyes. Madara's overconfidence was palpable, but he couldn't entirely disagree. The two of them together were indeed a force beyond comprehension.

Madara stepped forward, his arms crossed. "Hashirama, are you sure you're not just tired of living?"

Hashirama smiled faintly, his gaze steady. "Madara, I've never been more certain of anything in my life."

Madara's smirk widened. "Then let's settle this."
