Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Outcome

"What is this?!"

Kakashi's eyes widened in shock. Even with his Mangekyō Sharingan spinning furiously, he couldn't comprehend how Obito had been defeated.

To Kakashi's perception, it looked as if Obito had suddenly given up, standing motionless as if waiting for the Hokage's punch to land.

Worth noting, however, was that Kakashi couldn't see the faint blue light.

"Zzz…"

A soft crackling sound echoed as Tobirama pulled his fist free from Obito's body, the punch having pierced cleanly through the half-white Zetsu side of the Uchiha.

Looking at the sticky white substance on his hand, Senju Tobirama grimaced and conjured a water sphere to wash it away.

"Ugh…ugh…"

Obito, now lying in a pool of his own blood, whimpered weakly. His body curled instinctively from the severity of his wounds, making him look pitiful.

"Rin!…"

Despite his condition, Obito's will to resist hadn't completely faded. With a guttural growl, he pushed his ocular power to the limit, his Mangekyō Sharingan and Rinnegan bulging grotesquely from their sockets, as if about to unleash some desperate burst of power.

Tobirama, however, wasn't about to give him the chance.

A faint blue light flickered—a light visible only to Obito—and Tobirama moved.

"Shhhk!"

Two razor-sharp bursts of wind howled through the air.

In the next moment, Tobirama's hands, claw-like, stabbed into Obito's eye sockets, one from the left and the other from the right.

With a sickening squelch, the two bloodied eyeballs were wrenched free.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

Obito screamed in utter despair, not just from the excruciating pain of losing his eyes but from the realization that he had lost all means of resistance.

"Hmph."

Tobirama snorted, dismissing the Rinnegan's influence on his eyes. Retrieving two small vials from his pouch, he carefully stored the Kamui Mangekyō and Rinnegan within them.

These eyes, especially the Kamui, held immense power and research value. Tobirama had planned to collect them long before this battle began.

Gazing down at the defeated and broken Obito, Tobirama fell into brief contemplation.

Kakashi slowly stepped forward, standing behind Tobirama. Seeing his once-close friend in such a state, Kakashi's expression showed a trace of pity.

After a moment of inner struggle, Kakashi finally spoke.

"Hokage-sama, could you… at least spare Obito's life for now?"

The wording was deliberate. He wasn't asking Tobirama to let Obito go, only to spare him "for now." Kakashi knew that, given the atrocities Obito had committed, simply letting him off would be an insult to the countless lives lost in the Nine-Tails attack—including Minato-sensei and his family.

Tobirama nodded slightly, his voice calm.

"I won't kill him. After all, letting him die now would be far too merciful. Let the souls of those he's wronged be the ones to judge him."

Kakashi exhaled in relief.

"Rin…Rin…Rin…"

Obito, curled up on the ground, continued muttering Rin's name over and over. His voice was hollow, a clear sign of his descent into madness.

"Obito," Kakashi said, his tone firm. "With everything you've done… even if Rin were alive, she would never support you!"

Obito gave no response, his lips merely repeating Rin's name in a delirious mantra.

"Kakashi, take him back to the village."

Tobirama glanced briefly at Kakashi before giving his command.

"Yes, sir!"

Hoisting the unresisting Obito over his shoulder, Kakashi activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, opening a swirling black vortex into the Kamui dimension.

The two of them disappeared into the void one after the other.

...

Outside—Turtle Island

Uchiha Madara stood tall, his mood surprisingly good as a smirk played at his lips.

And why not? Turtle Island was nearly flattened under the might of his Susanoo, and Black Zetsu was running out of places to hide.

"Madara-sama! Stop! Stop! I'm your will! You're under Tobirama's genjutsu!"

Black Zetsu, emerging briefly, hurriedly shouted before diving back into the roots of another tree.

However, the rapidly shrinking island left fewer and fewer places for him to escape.

He had thought about leaving Turtle Island entirely and fleeing elsewhere.

But to his horror, the entire island was sealed within a barrier—a barrier blazing with purple flames.

Staring at the Four Violet Flames Formation that encompassed the area, Black Zetsu finally broke and began begging Madara for mercy.

"Oh? My will?"

Madara's expression turned mocking.

"Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's will."

Black Zetsu's face twisted in shock.

He couldn't believe Madara had seen through his identity!

Without hesitation, Black Zetsu abandoned all pretense and prepared to flee. He would escape to the ends of the world if need be, even if it meant waiting another thousand years for these fools to die out.

But with Turtle Island sealed off, his only option was to break the barrier. Summoning every remaining White Zetsu on the island, he barked orders.

"Quick! Break a hole in the barrier!"

The gathered White Zetsu ignored his commands, instead scurrying toward Madara's Susanoo.

"Madara-sama!"

"Madara-sama! We've missed you so much!"

"Madara-sama!"

A sea of white figures crowded at Susanoo's feet, their voices clamoring in chaotic unison.

To them, Madara was their true creator, and his commands held far more weight than those of the so-called "will of Madara."

Madara chuckled.

"Good, good. All of you, stay behind me."

Though the White Zetsu were noisy, they had been amusing companions during his incapacitated years. Knowing they were remnants of humans caught in the Infinite Tsukuyomi a thousand years ago, Madara chose not to harm them.

Black Zetsu's expression darkened as the White Zetsu defied him, hiding behind Madara's Susanoo and chattering happily.

To make matters worse, the White Zetsu he had been possessing began to resist.

With a wet squelch, Black Zetsu sloughed off like a pile of sludge, leaving behind the Zetsu, who promptly burrowed out of the ground.

"Madara-sama! Don't attack! It's me!"

Recognizing the familiar entity, Madara didn't strike. The Zetsu quickly joined the other White Zetsu behind Susanoo.

Madara then turned his amused gaze toward the black sludge on the ground.

Without a host, Black Zetsu could no longer use Mayfly to escape. Exposed and vulnerable, he lay at Madara's feet, a mere puddle of shadow.

Even so, Black Zetsu did not panic.

He was Kaguya's will—the embodiment of the Progenitor of Chakra's essence!

Without Six Paths power, they could never hope to destroy him.
