Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Hashirama Senju vs. The Edo Tensei Army

"Tobirama, I can't believe Water Release can be used like this!" Hashirama's eyes widened in amazement. With his vast experience, he immediately grasped the essence of the Hidden Mist Technique, marveling at Tobirama's microscopic-level control.

"If only Mokuton could be this cool…" Hashirama muttered, lowering his head slightly, feeling a rare tinge of inferiority for lacking such a stylish move.

"Can you stop with the theatrics?" Tobirama glanced at him, visibly exasperated.

"Your Buddha statue isn't flashy enough for you?"

"Still, endlessly taking them down isn't solving the problem…"

Below, the shattered body of the Second Tsuchikage was constantly regenerating, and the others crushed to bits by the Wood Humanwere also being resurrected one by one. Unless a sealing jutsu was used to bind them or Orochimaru was defeated, killing these reanimated shinobi over and over was a futile endeavor.

"Brother, can I trouble you to hold them off for a while? I'll deal with the caster," Tobirama requested with a small nod toward Hashirama.

"So that's the plan... I was hoping to save this hour for Madara…" Hashirama lowered his head slightly, then burst out laughing.

"Hahaha, but this is the first time you've ever asked me for help, Tobirama!"

"Tobirama, let me ask you this—if Madara were to be resurrected, do you think you could handle him?" Hashirama's playful tone suddenly turned solemn, his sharp gaze locked on Tobirama.

Though he enjoyed his battles with Madara, Hashirama was well aware of the gap in strength between them. If Madara were revived and no one could stop him, it could lead to outcomes Hashirama would dread.

While he didn't want to hurt his younger brother's pride, Tobirama's strength was undeniably below that of Madara's or his own. However, with Tobirama's recent growth and newfound Mokuton abilities, Hashirama sought his assurance.

"Ninety percent certainty," Tobirama replied, his expression steadfast.

"Actually, it's one hundred percent," he thought to himself.

With his enhanced abilities, Tobirama was confident he could now fight Madara head-on. Even if he couldn't overpower him, he could at least hold his own in an even match.

That confidence, however, came with a caveat.

If Madara had the Rinnegan, even Hashirama and Tobirama combined might struggle to contend with him. The Rinnegan in Madara's hands was a force far beyond Nagato's—it was the power of the eye's true master, reaching near-Six Paths-level strength.

Fortunately, Orochimaru's understanding of Edo Tensei wasn't as advanced as Kabuto's during the Fourth Shinobi War. He couldn't custom-tailor a body capable of fully unleashing Madara's potential. From the reanimated shinobi Tobirama had observed, their power was limited to around sixty or seventy percent of their peak strength.

Hearing Tobirama's answer, Hashirama froze momentarily, then burst out laughing.

"Haha!"

"In that case, I'll wrap this up quickly!" Hashirama grinned.

"Hopefully, I'll have some time left to chat with Madara…"

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

"Explosive Style: Implosion Explosion!"

"Kenjutsu!"

"One-Finger Nukite!"

One after another, the reanimated shinobi unleashed their ultimate techniques in unison. Powerful attacks rained down without restraint, bombarding the already battered Wooden Golem.

BOOM!

The massive golem shuddered violently, riddled with gaping holes and on the verge of collapse.

Standing atop its head, Hashirama turned to Tobirama, a smirk spreading across his face.

"Shall we see who finishes their task first, Tobirama?"

Hashirama's chakra flared explosively, its brilliance nearly condensing into a tangible purple hue, radiating a terrifying aura.

At the same time, black markings began creeping up from his feet—a countdown signaling the limits of this body. Once the markings enveloped him completely, his soul would return to the Pure Land.

"Go on, Brother!"

Tobirama left with one final remark, placing a hand on Itachi Uchiha's shoulder. The two vanished instantly.

The Wooden Golem swayed more violently, launching one last devastating attack before crumbling to the ground.

CRASH!

The impact sent massive waves rippling through the canyon's lake below.

But this was far from over—the real battle was just beginning.

Through the swirling dust, Hashirama charged forward with thunderous steps, clenching his fists.

"RAAAAH!"

Hanzo of the Salamander immediately utilized his Body Flicker Technique to retreat, while Onoki, who was preparing a Dust Release, wasn't as fortunate. Hashirama's fist struck with monstrous force, shattering Onoki's body into fragments.

As the Edo Tensei particles began to reassemble, Ginkaku and Kinkaku from Kumogakure abandoned their Tailed Beast forms and launched a coordinated Lightning Release assault. Their hands crackled with blue lightning, aiming to tear Hashirama apart.

Unfazed, Hashirama jumped lightly, kicking Ginkaku away and catching Kinkaku's hand blade barehanded.

"Impossible! How are you this strong?!" Kinkaku roared in disbelief.

"Tobirama fell to us—how can his older brother be this much stronger?!"

"Oh? I haven't even used any ninjutsu yet," Hashirama replied indifferently, twisting Kinkaku's arm and sending him flying with a single punch.

The remaining eight shinobi, with Onoki still regenerating, surrounded Hashirama like wolves circling their prey.

The Second Tsuchikage struck first, releasing a beam of light from his palm. Hanzo followed with Water Release techniques, while Rasa manipulated gold dust for piercing strikes. The other shinobi launched their own specialized attacks in a dazzling display of power.

Hashirama responded by closing his eyes briefly. When they opened, dark eyeshadow adorned his face. Sage Mode!

His chakra surged outward, shaking the heavens and earth, cracking the canyon below. Even Orochimaru and Pain, observing from afar, were taken aback by the overwhelming energy.

"This is… impossible."

Orochimaru's confident demeanor crumbled, replaced by shock and disbelief.

"How could Hashirama regain so much of his strength? And Tobirama—how did he advance Edo Tensei this far so quickly?"

Pain's expression darkened as Nagato remained silent. He shouldn't have trusted Orochimaru…

Hashirama clasped his hands together, shouting,

"Mokuton: Deep Forest Emergence!"

The ground erupted with vibrant life as colossal vines shot out, tangling and constraining the shinobi. The massive wooden tendrils nullified Dust Release momentarily but were burned away before regenerating, creating an impenetrable web of green.

The slower shinobi—Yagura, Pakura, and Rasa—were quickly ensnared. Their bodies swelled as vines coiled tighter, immobilizing them.

Dust Release cleared Onoki's immediate surroundings, but more vines pressed in, blocking his attempts to aid the others.

Hanzo evaded with blinding speed, while Gengetsu Hozuki's illusions created decoys to escape the trap. His giant clam, however, was not as fortunate, crushed and forcibly dispelled.

With a single jutsu, Orochimaru lost three pawns.
