Naruto: To Hell This Suicide System

Chapter 108: NT: 107: The Terrified Kazekage

Inside the Kazekage Building, in the Kazekage's office.

"Who was that ninja?" Rasa's gaze darkened. If Konoha-nins learned of the plan to attack, a full-scale surprise assault on the Land of Fire and Konoha was no longer feasible.

"But if so, Sunagakure's follow-up forces must deploy quickly." Rasa mused. "Give Iwagakure time, and we can crush Konoha from another front."

"But why hasn't Pakura returned? Did she run into trouble?" Rasa thought of Pakura, chasing the other intruder.

He'd lost his target, too swift to pursue, and returned.

Had Pakura caught her mark?

"Perhaps Pakura clashed with that enemy?" Rasa's fingers tapped the desk rhythmically.

"Hm, I'll wait for Pakura's report, then act." Rasa's eyes flashed coldly.

For Sunagakure, they'd lain dormant too long. Time to bare their fangs.

"Konoha, the Land of Fire's riches aren't yours to keep." Rasa sneered.

Crush Konoha, and the daimyo issue would resolve simply.

Like one nation extinguishing another.

Resources had sparked two Ninja World Wars before.

"What's…" Rasa suddenly looked up. The roof blocked his view, but he sensed a powerful chakra erupting above.

"Who's there?" Rasa's eyes shifted. No Suna-nin would unleash such force at the Kazekage Building.

This power surpassed a Jonin's.

A chilling force surged from above.

"Ninjutsu attack!" Rasa's face twisted. His hands formed seals, golden sand rising to form a sturdy shield around him.

His kekkei genkai: Magnet Release.

Using gold dust, distinct from the Third Kazekage's style.

"Boom!" White light flashed, countless wind blades slicing the air.

The Kazekage Building crumbled, shattered by an unknown force.

With a "crash." under this power, the building vanished, leaving a ten-meter pit, golden sand flowing within.

No trace of the Kazekage Building remained.

Tengen's taijutsu strike had reduced it to dust.

The earth-shaking attack drew the Suna-nins' attention, swarms rushing from across the village.

This was their Kazekage's domain.

They'd lost one Kazekage before; they couldn't lose another. Though Rasa was temporary, many in Sunagakure knew, with his Magnet Release, he'd become the Fourth Kazekage.

After blasting the Kazekage Building with Taijutsu: Void Drop, Tengen eyed the gold sand below and the approaching Suna-nins.

"Damn it, damn it!" The golden sand parted, revealing Rasa.

Tengen's taijutsu strike nearly killed him, a second's delay would've ended him.

He wasn't a taijutsu ninja; his resistance to such attacks was weak.

This fueled Rasa's rage. An enemy boldly invaded Sunagakure, attacked the Kazekage Building, and no Suna-nin noticed?

Like the two who'd sneaked in earlier.

"Those two." Rasa's gaze locked upward. That figure felt familiar, one of the intruders.

This ninja, not chased by Pakura, was back.

"Are you from Konoha?" Rasa stared skyward. An aerial foe weakened his Magnet Release.

"Kazekage-sama, good you survived my attack." Tengen descended from the sky, sparking a flicker of joy in Rasa.

This sandy terrain was his turf.

But seeing Tengen, Rasa's pupils shrank. He knew this face.

Having attended Konoha's Chunin Exams, he recognized him.

"Konoha's genius, Tengen." Rasa said gravely.

"Kazekage-sama, seems you know me." Tengen smiled faintly.

"Then the one I chased felt familiar, likely Namikaze Minato. I don't know why you'd attack here, but think one person can take on Sunagakure?" Rasa challenged.

"Of course not." Tengen shook his head. "I only need to handle you."

"See how you escape!" Rasa roared, hands weaving seals. Massive golden sand waves rolled like a tide.

"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Imperial Funeral!"

The colossal attack surged toward Tengen.

"With other Suna-nins here, let's end this fast." Tengen noted, eyeing the growing crowd, some setting up a formation or array.

"Gate of View, open!" Tengen growled, his chakra surging beyond the prior five gates.

The sixth gate was his body's tipping point, perfect balance.

Green light radiated from Tengen.

"Boom!" His foot stamped, cratering the ground, and Tengen vanished from the Gold Dust Imperial Funeral's range.

Sixth gate, paired with superhuman physical training and Armament Haki.

Taijutsu's power turned terrifying.

Rasa felt fear.
