Chapter 8: Chapter 8
"Danzo, you are too radical! Konoha has just come out of a war a few years ago, and now it still needs to recover the losses!"
"You are too stupid, Hiruzen! It is so foolish to ignore such a great opportunity!"
"No need to say any more, Danzo." Hiruzen Sarutobi waved his hand and sighed, "Now that we have grown old, it's time to take a break."
"You will regret it, Hiruzen!" Danzo flicked his sleeves and slammed the door.
Looking at the back of his old friend Li Wei, Sarutobi Hiruzen stood up and looked out the window.
The moon was full and the stars were shining, and thousands of lights were lit up in Konoha. This beautiful and warm night scene reminded him of Mizuki again... His family seemed to live in a southern neighborhood?
…
Feeling the sudden urge, Sarutobi Hiruzen walked to the desk and lifted the covering cloth over the crystal ball.
After being exposed in public by that kid Arata, it stands to reason that Mizuki wouldn't try to do such strange things again!
But…
what if…
what if this guy gets more excited about being exposed? Maybe he also had some kind of exhibitionist hobbies.
'It's not impossible.' Hiruzen Sarutobi had seen people with similar taste before! He was even very close to someone like that.
Dang.
He was not interested in Mizuki; after all, Sarutobi Hiruzen's conscious orientation had always been normal.
He was just curious if that kind of wonderful thing was actually possible or not. The crystal ball showed a picture, and Hiruzen Sarutobi selected the location of the "Southern Block."
What he saw was not the scene he wanted, but he saw Mizuki talking to a suspicious man in black...
Konoha, southern neighborhood.
"I will go to Lord Orochimaru's base tomorrow evening," Mizuki whispered to the man in black.
Originally, he was planning to stay in Konoha for a while and make some achievements first. That would make Orochimaru take him seriously when he would defect to join under him.
But now that his reputation was ruined by that boy, he would have to make changes to his plans. With his deeds exposed, he would have to face the judging looks of the people of Konoha.
'What a disgrace! It's all the fault of that brat named Arata; he really deserves to die!' A cold look flashed through Mizuki's eyes as he thought of Arata.
"That's up to you, but why tomorrow?" The man in black's voice was a little hoarse, but it was obvious that he was a man.
"I still have some things to deal with before leaving." Murderous intent burst out in Mizuki's eyes.
"Okay." The man in black didn't ask any more questions and nodded, "We'll meet here tomorrow evening."
The brief conversation ended, and the two immediately went their separate ways.
The man in black was heading east, and when he passed a bush, he suddenly felt something was wrong.
But it was too late for him to react; a long knife was placed on his neck.
"This is Konoha ANBU; come with us."
On the other side, Mizuki's destination was the west side of Konoha.
Looking through the Ninja School's archives, he found where Arata's residence was, and had his body flickered into that night!
He also wanted to find the demon fox boy and trick him out of his home so that he could see the miserable condition of his friend's death with his own eyes!
And when the demon would be at his most desperate moments, he would stab his throat with a kunai, ending his life.
Just thinking about the scene made his body tremble, dispelling half of his resentment toward him.
Woosh!
Looking at the lit apartment in front of him, Mizuki stuck out his tongue and licked his lips.
Time to hunt!
Looking around, he checked to see if there was someone nearby; only after a thorough check did Mizuki choose to open the door and enter the house openly.
He was not afraid of the boy escaping right under his nose, nor was he afraid of any kind of ambush or retaliation from Arata.
In the face of his absolute strength, all these struggles were in vain!
"How come no one is here?" But the next moment, Mizuki's dream was shattered; his prey was not inside the house.
Although the lights were on, the entire room was empty.
"Teacher Mizuki, are you looking for me?" A playful voice suddenly came from behind Mizuki, making him freeze in fear for a moment.
Taking advantage of this gap, a shuriken flew past his hair and nailed the pillar behind him.
Turning around, Mizuki touched his hair, looked at the young man in front of him, and laughed wildly. "You are such a waste, Arata-kun! You had such a good opportunity, but you missed the target~ If you had hit me just now, you could have at least injured me a little! Now, you can only die like a dog; what a pity!"
Mizuki's face was filled with ferocity; he grabbed the kunai in his hand and was about to rush toward Arata.
But before he could take a step forward, his legs felt like they were being held by something.
"What?" As he lowered his head, Mizuki saw that his lower body was tightly bound by steel wires. "You did this? When?"
Arata smirked and pointed at the shuriken that was stuck on the pillar behind his back. It reflected an orange-red halo under the light of the hanging steel wire.
"Damn it!"
Mizuki's face turned green with anger, and he understood that the opponent's shuriken just now was just a feint attack, and the real purpose was to build this trap. "Smelly brat, do you really think this can..."
"I never thought that I could trap you just like this, Teacher Mizuki." Arata's dead fish eyes narrowed slightly, and his hands formed marks. "I'm always on guard against chunin like you."
"That technique is!" Mizuki's eyes widened upon recognizing the hand seal Arata was making, and he panicked in fright, "Wait, no!"
Fire Style - Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!
Arata's cheeks puffed up, and several balls of flame came out of his mouth.
Boom.
The flame directly ignited the fire oil on the surface of the steel wires that were tightly wrapped around Mizuki's entire body, burning him alive.
The firelight shone on Arata's face, flickering brightly and dimly. Looking at the man who was on fire, screaming in front of him, the boy stood and watched, calm.
