Naruto: The Strongest Training System

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Two Scrolls

Chapter 15: Two Scrolls

She walked quickly towards the bookshelf, reached out her hand, and took down two scrolls. She brought the two scrolls in front of Orion and dangled them.

Smiling, she said to Orion, "Ori, the ninjutsu and taijutsu scrolls you wanted are right here in my hand. Do you want them?"

Orion looked at his mother's teasing expression, feeling a bit speechless. He didn't want to say anything more and could only say helplessly, "Mom, please give them to me quickly. I still have to go train ninjutsu and taijutsu!"

Seeing her son's expression, Kushina could only hand the two scrolls in her hands to Orion, adding, "Alright, alright, here you go. You're no fun at all."

Orion broke into a sweat hearing his mother, Kushina Uzumaki's, words.

Fun? Mom, I'm your son. Did you have a son just for fun? Orion thought to himself.

Quickly, I took the scrolls from my mother Kushina's hands and, at top speed, ran directly out of the study, not paying any more attention to my mother.

In the study, Kushina Uzumaki watched my fleeing figure, couldn't help but cover her mouth, and smiled faintly. "This son of mine is really so cute. He's ignoring his mother now."

Orion's speed was not slow. In just a short while, he had run into his room, ready to see what kind of ninjutsu and taijutsu scrolls his mother had given him. He needed to know what they were so he could train properly.

Soon, Orion walked over to the side of his bed, half-squatted, reached out, and placed the scrolls he had just taken from his mother onto the bed. He closed his eyes and took a moment to compose himself.

In truth, Orion was still very excited in his heart. He had already been in the world of Naruto for three years and had reached the age of four. Although he had seen his parents use ninjutsu and knew how incredibly powerful those techniques were, he himself had never used one.

He hadn't practiced a single ninjutsu. And if he hadn't even practiced a jutsu, there was no need to even mention a training scroll.

But now, in front of him, were two scrolls for ninjutsu and taijutsu. These were genuine scrolls, real things. They were ninjutsu and taijutsu scrolls that he could see and touch.

This was more than enough to make Orion excited. But excitement was one thing; ninjutsu still had to be studied calmly and properly. And to learn how to use ninjutsu, the first step was to see how to use it. And to know how to use it, one had to look at the ninjutsu scroll inscribed with the training method.

The ninjutsu scrolls were right in front of me now. All I had to do was open these two scrolls. As soon as I opened them, I could start training in the ninjutsu I had dreamed of.

"Alright, let me open it. Gently, I have to be gentle. I absolutely must not damage these two scrolls," Orion murmured to himself.

In fact, even if Orion opened the scroll with great force, it wouldn't break. This was because the scrolls were made using special paper, then treated with special methods to protect them, and finally, a special ninjutsu was used to make the scrolls very resilient.

Therefore, even if you tried to tear it with great force, this ninjutsu scroll would not be damaged.

And the most important step for a ninjutsu scroll was to inscribe the training method onto it. If the training method wasn't inscribed, even having countless scrolls would be useless because they would be blank. So, inscribing the ninjutsu became the most critical step.

After all these steps were completed, a ninjutsu scroll that taught people how to train was formed, and one could officially begin to learn the training method inscribed within.

Soon, with Orion's efforts, the ninjutsu scroll was slowly opened, revealing its true form.

Orion saw the contents of the ninjutsu scroll. At the top, it was written what kind of ninjutsu this was, so that the person training could know what they were learning.

Orion picked up the scroll I had opened and placed it before my eyes. The large title entered my vision: The Basic Three Academy Jutsu.

The Basic Three Academy Jutsu... he thought. This should be the three most basic techniques in ninjutsu: the Transformation Jutsu, the Substitution Jutsu, and the Clone Jutsu, right?

It should be these three techniques. I don't think my mother, Kushina Uzumaki, would give me an advanced version of the Three Jutsu. I haven't even learned a single ninjutsu, and I only just extracted my chakra.

With this thought, Orion was certain it was those three techniques. But when his eyes moved further down, he frowned slightly and reached up to scratch his head.

"How can this be? This isn't right, it shouldn't be like this!" Orion said to himself.

Not believing his eyes, he opened the other scroll. This time, he wasn't so careful. He very casually picked up the scroll and yanked it open forcefully.

This scroll was somewhat similar to the last one; both had the name of the technique labeled at the very top.

This was a taijutsu scroll, meaning it was inscribed with taijutsu. It would teach me how to use the taijutsu inscribed on the scroll.

Inscribed in this taijutsu scroll were two techniques, respectively: Leaf Whirlwind and Leaf Strong Wind.

Orion just casually glanced at the name of the scroll and then shifted his gaze to the bottom of the scroll, the part that was inscribed with the method of how to use the taijutsu.

It's so detailed. Unbelievably detailed. So detailed that I'm about to go crazy.

When I saw the ninjutsu scroll, I already had a premonition that this taijutsu scroll would be the same. But I held onto a sliver of luck, a tiny bit of hope that maybe this taijutsu scroll would be different from that ninjutsu scroll.

But the cruel reality slapped me awake, completely sweeping away that tiny bit of侥幸 (jiǎoxìng - luck, fluke) I had. It wasn't that the two training scrolls weren't detailed; it was that the process was far, far too detailed.

To what extent was it detailed? I think anyone who hasn't seen these two scrolls would never know. Only those who have seen them can understand.

Damn it! For just the simple Three Academy Jutsu, the very foundation of ninjutsu, that scroll was two meters long and half a meter wide.

Never mind the Three Academy Jutsu. For that taijutsu scroll, I really want to drag out the Engraver who made this scroll and give them a beating. Really. Just that one taijutsu scroll, can you even imagine how detailed it is?

Just that one taijutsu scroll, inscribed with two techniques, was one and a half meters long. The width was still half a meter, because the width of all scrolls was standardized at half a meter, as this was considered the best width.

Don't think that one and a half meters doesn't look long, but the little figures inscribed inside were seriously small, about the size of half a palm. No, wait, maybe even smaller than half a palm.

Honestly, I really don't get it. Just the Leaf Whirlwind and Leaf Strong Wind, these two taijutsu techniques... and Orion had even seen his father and mother use them in the courtyard. Back and forth, it was only a few movements.

But why? Why could this taijutsu scroll break down the Leaf Whirlwind and Leaf Strong Wind into several dozen steps? It was detailed to an unimaginable degree. And looking at the instructions here, I feel like my head is going to spin before I even learn anything. I'm honestly at a loss for words.
