Naruto: The Not Motivated Uchiha

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Casually Aiming for Immortality

Uchiha Gin rushed to the system space, only to find the slot machine—his task-point lottery tool—gone, swallowed by the system.

Panicked, he checked the Heartsteel chest. Its BGM blared, and it responded normally, easing his fears. The chest seemed unaffected by the system's downtime.

Summing it up: his rejection crashed the system. No more task points, but the newbie Heartsteel chest and [Backyard Daily Random Skill Refresh] survived.

Glancing at the grayed-out task bar, "Save Senju Tobirama" hung alone. The system's words echoed: "System entering cooldown. Complete cumulative tasks to unlock."

Gin's eyes lit up. If "tasks" meant this one mission, never completing it would keep the system offline, sparing him erasure-level tasks. During cooldown, he'd stay thirty forever.

A bold theory formed: by never finishing "Save Senju Tobirama," the system would stay dead. With Tobirama's life tied to his, Gin could delay indefinitely.

Me, Uchiha Gin, immortal achievement unlocked! Thrilled, he flipped off the bed, pacing. As long as Tobirama stayed safe, time wouldn't touch him.

Binding the Metabolism Accelerator to Tobirama was a stroke of genius. Two health points daily could keep the kid alive for eons.

While Gin reveled in immortality, in a dim dungeon, an old man's eyes opened.

Former Dungeon Zero.

"Wangliang, my time's running out. Has Tajima made a move?" Uchiha Yao, nearing death, felt his end. Six years, and Tajima hadn't acted.

"Tajima's focused on his sons, not the seal," Wangliang rasped from a dark corner, eyes glinting black.

"And Gin?" Yao's face was cold, thinking of his grandson, absent for years.

"He's in the dungeons, sparring prisoners. No clue why," Wangliang replied, baffled by Gin's grinding.

"No more delays. Bring him," Yao said, brow furrowing. To avenge before death, Tajima must fall.

"Yes…" Wangliang's eyes flickered, melting into a black puddle, vanishing into the shadows.

"Uncle, what's up?" Gin, bleary from an excited, sleepless night, sported panda eyes. Summoned by Tajima, he yawned into the clan leader's office.

"A mission. You in?" Tajima, now forty-two, held a file, his tone questioning.

"What's the mission?" Gin eyed his aging uncle, whose energy had waned, consumed by raising Madara and Izuna.

"Read this." Tajima handed over the file.

Gin scanned it, feigning surprise. "Who's this 'Nameless'?"

Tajima's eyes flashed with complex regret, believing Gin's confusion. "Nameless was our clan's war weapon. Years ago, ambushed and sealed by Senju and Sarutobi, their fate unknown."

Seeing Gin's blank look, Tajima sighed. "We captured a Sarutobi elite a few years back, tortured out Nameless's seal location. War with the Senju delayed us, but…" Sipping tea, his eyes brightened. "Senju Butsuma died of illness. Their clan's in chaos, picking a new leader. Now's our chance to find Nameless, a major asset."

"Who else is going?" Gin asked, handing back the file. A mission this big wouldn't be just him, right?

"You and me," Tajima said.

That much trust? Just the two of them?

"Prep. We leave tomorrow," Tajima said, dismissing him with a wave.

Leaving the office, Gin, seeing daylight, strolled to the dungeon for work.

"Ryosa, my man, you're on duty. I'll patrol," Gin said, clocking in and leaving Uchiha Ryosa buried in paperwork.

Ryosa sighed, watching Gin's carefree back. Sucker's life.

In Dungeon One, Gin faced a new prisoner. "Your fists are fierce, like a tiger's roar. I'm no match," he panted, clutching his chest, looking battered.

"Huh?" The prisoner stared at his hands, stunned. Since when am I this strong? He'd just sent this tough Uchiha flying.

"Gotcha," Gin smirked. The prisoner, ego inflated, charged for a "fatal" blow, but Gin, grinning, turned to leave.

"Don't run! Take my divine fist!" The prisoner roared.

Gin, unbothered, didn't even activate Sharingan, glancing back.

Genjutsu: Hell Viewing Technique.

The prisoner collapsed, writhing in terror, as if choked.

"Tch, that curly-haired jerk's acting again, bullying newbies. Sick hobby," an old prisoner sneered.

"Every day, tormenting people. Never bored," another chimed in. Veterans, used to Gin's grinding, were immune. Only newbies fell for it.

Humming down the dungeon corridor, Gin, fresh from a successful "farm," felt a chill. A familiar voice rasped behind him.

"Uchiha Gin, Grandpa wants you."
