This made the blond orphan flinch. Sakura and Ino were infamous for trying to outdo each other on their shopping sprees. The last person who had paid for one of the frenemies' shopping sprees had been left penniless by the time Ino had gotten finished with him.
"Just one more reason for me not to lose. You're on!" Naruto stuck his hand out for Sakura to shake, which she did once to seal their deal.
"Where should we fight though?" Sakura wondered, "There's no room in here and I don't want to fight on concrete like out on the roof."
"Lemme show you something, Sakura-chan." Naruto said impishly. He led her out of his room and down one floor. The room he led her to was a dojo, which was being cleaned up by a bunch of his Iwa Bunshin.
"Clones? Physical Clones?!" Sakura gaped in astonishment.
"I have too much chakra to use the basic Bunshin no Jutsu." Naruto said sourly, "That is the only, and I mean only, reason I haven't graduated in the last two years. They always choose the damned Bunshin as the jutsu for the Ninjutsu component of the test, so I keep failing. Not this year though! The rules allow any of the clone jutsu to be used so long as you can make at least three of them. With these Iwa Bunshin, I'm in the clear."
'Out of all the Clone Jutsu I've read about, the Iwa Bunshin take the most amount of chakra to create, and are also the most resilient, aside from Shodaime-sama's Moku Bunshin no Jutsu (Wood Clone Jutsu).' Sakura thought in astonishment, 'And Naruto has ten or twelve of them running around like I'd use the regular Bunshin no Jutsu!'
Shaking herself out of her stupefaction, Sakura examined the room. It was obviously in disuse, but the Iwa Bunshin had tidied the place up quite well. The mats needed replacing though.
"I'll have this ready tomorrow, so we'll fight then." Naruto told her, "So be ready to lose -Dattebayo!"
"That's just what I was going to say to you!" Sakura retorted.
The two glared at each other before chuckling and heading back to Naruto's room to finish the study session.
After the Study Session…
"Jeez, there sure were a lot of messages today!" Naruto grumbled as he looked at the virtual sea of windows that surrounded him, "I'll just have to go through them one at a time!"

What was more worrying was the fact he couldn't refuse this quest. Death? For failing a basic exam? There had to be more to it than he was seeing.
Resolving to solve the mystery of this quest later on, he pressed the 'Y' button, Naruto turned his attention to the other windows.

"Why the heck does my relationship with Sakura-chan go down regardless of whether I win or lose?!" Naruto complained, then scowled as he read the window that popped up in answer.

Much to his surprise, when he reached the Yamanaka Flower Shop, he found Ino and her father waiting for him.
"Yamanaka-sama? Why're you and Ino…-san…waiting for me?" he asked, warily eyeing the Yamanaka Clan Head. When he had started to say just Ino's first name without honorifics, Inoichi had sent a little bit of KI at him, resulting in his [Detect Bloodthirst] Skill popping up. Hell, he even levelled the skill up because of that!
"Your order, duh." Ino had said with an eye roll, "If you have the money on you right now, we can help you set things up at your house!"
"How much?" Naruto asked.
Inoichi handed him an invoice for thirty thousand Ryo. Naruto quickly scanned it and everything looked to be in order.
"OK." he said simply and pulled out Gama-chan. Fortunately for him, he'd found out how to pull money out of his Gamer Status Screen just this morning, so he'd added a fair chunk of his winnings from the previous day to Gama-chan. Combined with the compensation from the people who had wrecked his apartment twice (dropped off by Neko-san this morning), he could easily afford this.
"You gave him the Clan rate, I see." Ino noted as she peered at the invoice in Naruto's hand.
