Naruto: The Legend of Red Haired Shanks

Chapter 123: Chapter 123: A God?

Seeing Shisui's fully-formed Susano'o, the crowd snapped out of their shock. But no matter how they looked at it, this kind of power was beyond what any normal person could comprehend.

We already became Devil Fruit users. We gained incredible abilities.

So why… does it feel like our powers aren't that strong after all?

"Two Devil Fruit users? How could there be such insanely powerful fruits? What kind of Ninjutsu could create something like this?"

"Is this what happens when top-tier ninjas turn into Devil Fruit users?"

"They're on a whole different level compared to us regular Devil Fruit users."

A pirate with the form of a brown bear stared at the two massive creatures in the distance. Even though he was three meters tall, he still felt tiny—one slap from them, and he'd be gone.

Among Devil Fruit users, Zoan types were the most common. They could transform using their powers, and their strength wasn't weak at all.

But right now, the gap between people felt ridiculous.

It wasn't just the pirates who were shocked—even the ninjas watching started to question everything they knew about the world.

"A hundred-meter-long dragon and a hundred-meter-tall giant… Can we really close that gap with just Ninjutsu?"

"Has the ninja era already ended?"

"The new era has already arrived. Just relying on Ninjutsu isn't enough anymore."

As the crowd murmured, Orochimaru and Shisui clashed again in the distance. A bolt of lightning split the sky and came crashing toward them.

A few Chunin leaped forward from the crowd.

"Earth Release: Multiple Earth—"

Before they could even complete their Jutsu, a massive ice wall, dozens of meters high, shot up from the ground, shielding everyone.

The lightning struck the thick ice wall, but apart from chipping off a few chunks, it couldn't break through.

A wave of cold air swept through the area, and as the ninjas looked up at the towering ice barrier, nearly eight meters thick, a sense of security washed over them.

"What are you talking about? The new era doesn't belong to just the pirates, kid!"

"If you want to get stronger, focus on mastering Ninjutsu and awakening an even more powerful Devil Fruit."

Hearing the voice behind them, the group turned around to see Zabuza, carrying the *Kubikiribocho*.

Standing beside him was Haku, half of his body already turned to ice.

Behind them were the members of the Blade-less Pirates, all dressed like seasoned pirates.

"That… That's…"

"The great pirate of the Land of Waves, Zabuza, captain of the Blade-less Pirates."

The ninjas tensed up at the sight of Zabuza and his crew, but Zabuza didn't seem to care.

"Relax. I'm not interested in you guys. But this place is too close to the battlefield—you should leave before you get caught up in something you can't handle."

He sounded impatient. This wasn't a place for ordinary people. Seeing how some of the ninjas had already turned pale from the sheer pressure of Conqueror's Haki, Zabuza knew exactly what was going on.

"Move."

The leading Chunin nodded at Zabuza, then quickly led his people away from the battlefield.

Now was not the time to be capturing pirates.

As for Zabuza's crew, while they were strong, this level of battle was far beyond what they could handle.

"Right now, I'm still nowhere near strong enough to take them on. Logia Fruit users are at the top, but that guy's Devil Fruit ability is just too powerful."

Haku spoke bluntly—he understood his own limits.

Even among the strongest fighters in the ninja world, there were still clear gaps in power.

"We just need to be ready for any surprises. Shanks hasn't shown up yet, so we wait."

Zabuza spoke seriously—he didn't want Haku taking any unnecessary risks.

Meanwhile, Kakashi's group had stopped moving forward. They couldn't go any deeper; even at this distance, they weren't completely safe.

Sakura, already injured, was struggling just to stay on her feet.

She was only standing because of sheer willpower—after all, everyone else around her seemed completely fine.

"What is that?"

Naruto didn't feel much from the wave of Conqueror's Haki spreading across the battlefield. After all, he and Sasuke had already experienced Shanks' Haki before.

But for Sakura, this was her first time encountering such power. And compared to them, she wasn't as mentally strong.

As for Naruto and Sasuke, Orochimaru's presence didn't put any pressure on them at all.

"An Uchiha's…"

"Susano'o—A fully formed Susano'o!"

Sasuke frowned as he explained. The difference was overwhelming. The gap between him and Shisui… it was *this* big?

A *complete* Susano'o—how was that even possible? In the entire history of the Uchiha clan, only Madara had ever managed to summon a fully formed Susano'o.

"An Uchiha?"

"Yeah… If I'm right, that Susano'o should belong to Shisui."

Hearing Sasuke's explanation, Naruto nodded. Thinking about it, it made sense—Shisui was Shanks' right-hand man. Of course, his strength wasn't weak.

But no matter how they looked at it, this level of battle was way beyond what they could step into.

Naruto and Sasuke were already strong by most standards, but they were still considered normal compared to these monsters.

Orochimaru and Shisui—they were the true powerhouses.

"Susano'o… I didn't expect you to reach this level, Shisui. No wonder you're the Red-Haired Pirates' vice-captain."

Shisui's Susano'o raised its right arm, blocking Orochimaru's twin-clawed attack with a spiraling blade that looked like a giant drill. A deep green chakra erupted from the sword.

A massive shockwave burst from the ground, forcing Orochimaru's entire body back into the sky.

Shisui's Susano'o spread its wings and shot upward.

Storms and lightning clashed between the two. The earth cracked below. The skies raged above.

At that moment, the swirling clouds in the sky looked like a stormy ocean, and Orochimaru was the dragon that stirred the sea.

*Boom!*

A huge impact sent Orochimaru crashing into the clouds. The storm he had just gathered shattered again as his body tore through it.

Shisui wasn't far behind—he shot straight into the storm after him.

"Arrogant as ever, Orochimaru!"

Orochimaru's words earlier had annoyed him. The fight wasn't over yet. He wasn't going to lose.

Just as Shisui reached the sky, a massive tail smashed down from the clouds. Lightning and flames coiled around it, making it look like it was about to set the entire storm on fire.

*Boom!*

Shisui's spiraling blade blocked Orochimaru's attack. A second later, the giant Susano'o twisted its body, throwing a powerful left punch straight upward.

At the same time, above the clouds, a massive dragon head lunged down toward Shisui.

*Clang!*

The sound of metal clashing rang through the sky.

Orochimaru's teeth had turned completely black, and he had taken Shisui's full-powered punch head-on.

"Arrogant? Compared to the Uchiha, how am *I* the arrogant one? Hahaha!"

*Crack!*

Orochimaru clenched his jaws tighter, and cracks spread across Susano'o's left arm.

So what if it was Susano'o?

He was, after all, the so-called strongest creature in the world.

"What an unbelievably powerful body, what an incredibly strong bloodline—this is the strongest creature, something the ninja world cannot contain."

"A body harder than steel, a size as massive as a mountain… This is what I've been chasing my whole life. A creature of such strength, a legendary being praised by the world, and I…"

"Am not worthy of arrogance?"

Orochimaru's eyes narrowed. Red and black energy gathered in his pupils, sending out waves of power as dense black-red lightning erupted from his mouth.

At that moment, Shisui could clearly feel his Susano'o weakening—it was being suppressed by the overwhelming force of Conqueror's Haki!

"Boom!!"

In the next instant, Susano'o's left arm shattered. The tough chakra armor broke into countless green fragments, scattering through the air.

But in the blink of an eye, those fragments reassembled. Shisui's chakra surged to its limit, and Susano'o's left hand expanded to more than three times its original size—grabbing Orochimaru's head.

"Impossible!"

Orochimaru's expression froze. How could this be? He had fully unleashed his Conqueror's Haki, yet it still couldn't suppress Shisui's Susano'o?

No way. Even if his Haki wasn't on the level of Shanks, he had still obtained it by defying the will of the world. It was his own true power.

"No… that's impossible!!!"

Orochimaru was still in shock when a huge force suddenly struck him. His enormous body was lifted off the ground—Shisui had slammed him, head to tail, straight into the earth.

Everyone on the battlefield saw the scene clearly, finally getting a full view of Orochimaru's dragon form.

A white streak tore across the sky as Orochimaru's massive body ripped open a huge gap in the thick storm clouds. Mist and water vapor rained down from above.

From far away, it might not seem like much.

But for those who were closer, it felt like the sky itself was collapsing.

"A… a dragon just fell from the sky."

"What a terrifying monster… Just its body alone was enough to slice through the heavens."

"..."

People trembled as they watched from a distance.

"Boom!!"

Orochimaru's enormous body crashed straight into the ground, sending dust and sand flying into the air. Even those standing on the battlefield's edge could feel the earth shaking beneath them.

"This is insane!!"

Gaara's eyes widened. In a battle like this, even controlling his sand wasn't easy—it took much more effort than usual.

As for Shukaku inside him, there was only one feeling—despair.

If he had to fight a legendary creature like a dragon, he'd rather take his chances against the Nine-Tails.

"So this is the power of a Devil Fruit user?"

Kisame muttered to himself. Maybe becoming a Devil Fruit user wasn't such a bad path after all.

"Itachi, what do you think?"

"This fight is lost. Orochimaru is too strong."

Itachi frowned. There was no way Shisui could win this battle.

Orochimaru was simply on another level. His dragon form was just an ability granted by his Devil Fruit—he carried it effortlessly.

But Shisui was different. Even though he could summon a fully formed Susano'o, such power came with a heavy cost.

Shisui, the battle is already lost.

In the distance, Shisui's Susano'o descended from the sky once again, the spiral sword in its right hand spinning wildly.

The dark clouds and lightning in the sky were swept together, creating a terrifying force.

"Heaven's Wrath!"

Boom!!

The entire sky exploded. Behind Shisui's Susano'o, countless lightning bolts gathered, mixing with the storm and dark clouds, crashing down from above.

This kind of disaster-like attack was Shisui's limit. At the same time, for the current ninja world, this kind of terrifying attack was beyond their understanding.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Orochimaru lifted his dragon head.

"The gap between me and Shanks… How can it be this big…? I am a dragon!!"

Orochimaru never even considered Shisui a threat. Beating him? Impossible.

"Roar!!"

Orochimaru opened his huge mouth and let out an enraged roar. At that moment, the white whiskers on his body flared up, and at the same time, his entire body was covered in a layer of pitch-black Armament Haki.

The power of the Six Paths, the power of the legendary strongest creature, a force that seemed to descend straight from myth.

"Divine Dragon: Flame Fury!"

Orochimaru's four limbs dug into the ground as a mysterious force erupted from beneath. The earth beneath him shattered, and then, a scorching heat radiated from his body.

His white whiskers turned into flames in an instant.

Boom!!

A terrifying blaze burst from Orochimaru's mouth, so intense that it completely overshadowed the lightning in the sky, dyeing everything in fiery red.

This was the power of the divine dragon—the true power of a divine dragon!!

Not only could it control the weather, summon lightning, and soar through the sky, but it could also breathe fire.

Pure power. Simple, overwhelming power.

At that moment, the people of the Land of Wind saw it—the true strength of this new era, the true power of the Devil Fruit…

Boom!!

The massive flames tore through the storm that had descended from the sky.

"Heaven-Piercing Cloud Sword!"

Orochimaru wasn't done. The next moment, a thin sword shot out from his mouth, hidden within the flames.

Bang!

Fire and Shisui's attack clashed head-on—Shisui's strongest move, against Orochimaru's strongest strike!!

"This is… the power of a god!"

"Damn it!!"

Shisui gritted his teeth, his Sharingan spinning at full speed.

But in the next second, the Heaven-Piercing Cloud Sword, hidden within the flames, shattered Susano'o's outer shell. The massive sword tip pierced straight toward Shisui.

On the ground, Orochimaru's eyes widened with savage intensity, his entire body radiating a violent energy.

"Die!!"

In the next instant, Susano'o shattered into pieces.

However...

"Clang!!"

A sharp metallic sound echoed from the sky. A simple, ordinary samurai sword blocked the attack in front of Shisui.

"God?"

That single word spread across the battlefield. The entire battlefield fell silent—even the thunder and Inazuma came to a standstill.

At the edge of the battlefield, countless pirates trembled.

"He..."

"He's here... that man."

The pirates instinctively reached for their weapons, while Devil Fruit users activated their powers without thinking, entering their highest state of readiness.

"That man has arrived!!"

"The real God!"

"The strongest in the New World—the most powerful existence in every pirate's heart."

"A mountain too high to climb, the strongest pirate of this new era."

Ross Jess crushed his cigar under his boot.

The one-eyed ghost dragon opened its massive, toothless mouth and let out a loud, booming laugh toward the distant sky.

On a quiet sand dune, a ship stood still. Kagero Peak reached into his coat and pulled out a wanted poster.

The fleeing Kidomaru and his group suddenly stopped in their tracks.

On the battlefield, the "soldiers" selected from the civilians all turned their eyes toward the distance. Even though there was nothing visible, they could somehow see everything with absolute clarity.

Elsewhere, a group of unique "Mountain Bandits" also came to a halt. The young man who once set out from his homeland, determined to become the king of the Mountain Bandits, also reached into his coat and pulled out a wanted poster.

"Boss Sieg, is that...?"

The other bandits behind him looked confused.

But on Seeg's long, flat face, there was an unexpected look of respect and seriousness.

In different places—whether it was pirates, bandits, or ninjas—they all said the same name at the same time.

"Red-Haired Shanks!!"
