Chapter 13: New Jutsus and More Training Part 3
Yasu noticed that Rin was still hesitating, but it seemed she was close to agreeing to teach him the **Mystical Palm Technique**. Determined to convince her, Yasu decided to keep trying.
"You could at least try teaching me this technique, Rin. Obito could try learning it too, so you wouldn't be wasting your time since both of us might succeed," Yasu said.
"Hey, I never said I wanted to learn medical ninjutsu, Yasu. Don't try to drag me into this—I'm already busy with my own training," Obito replied.
Yasu placed his right arm around Obito's shoulders and pulled him closer, speaking in a lower voice. "Obito, don't dismiss it so quickly. I want to learn this technique, but I'm thinking about you too. Imagine how much time you'll get to spend with Rin while learning this."
"Rin might even place her hands on top of yours to help you understand how this technique feels. And if you manage to learn it, you'll impress Rin and be able to heal her in future battles," Yasu said, cleverly appealing to Obito's weakness.
Sure enough, Obito became more interested in learning the **Mystical Palm Technique**. He wanted to get closer to Rin and loved the idea of impressing her. The possibility of achieving both goals made it worth dedicating some training time.
"Alright, Rin, teach me the **Mystical Palm Technique**. I want to learn this ninjutsu too, so I can help our team more during future missions," Obito said with enthusiasm.
Rin had already been considering Yasu's request, and now that Obito wanted to learn as well, she no longer had any reason to hesitate. Teaching them both wouldn't feel like a waste of time.
"Fine, I'll teach this medical ninjutsu to both of you. But you'll need to be truly dedicated if you want to learn it. This jutsu is highly difficult to master, and even if you manage to learn it, it will take a long time for you to reach my level of skill," Rin said.
Yasu and Obito agreed with Rin and quickly decided to start learning the **Mystical Palm Technique** the next day. After all, Obito was running low on chakra after their last fight and would need several hours to fully recover it for effective training.
Yasu and Obito also promised to continue their training battles, focusing more on taijutsu. Obito could use whatever chakra remained after training to incorporate some jutsus in his fights against Yasu.
Yasu didn't want to take advantage of Obito by asking him to teach additional jutsus. Obito might agree to teach him, but it was against Uchiha clan rules and also against village regulations. The **Mystical Palm Technique** was different—it was a freely taught technique available to anyone at Konoha's hospital.
Common jutsus wouldn't help Yasu much, and teaching more powerful jutsus could cause trouble for Obito. Yasu hoped he wouldn't need to participate in the Third Ninja War. Once he could activate the Sharingan, he planned to learn the best techniques from the Uchiha clan.
Additionally, Yasu had noticed he could acquire jutsus from the system, which would be very useful. By achieving new milestones, he could unlock various jutsus, and he had other plans for the next few months of training.
For now, his top priority was to continue pushing his body to its limits to increase his chakra and enhance the purity of his Kekkei Genkai, which also boosted his chakra.
The next day arrived, and Rin was ready to start teaching Yasu and Obito. Yasu arrived before Rin, eager to train further in the Mystical Palm Technique, which he had already unlocked through the system. However, Obito was late again and arrived behind schedule.
"Hahaha, sorry I'm late. On my way here, I had to help an elderly lady cross the street," Obito said, embarrassed.
"I'm already used to your delays, Obito. Luckily for you, Yasu doesn't seem to mind either. So, let's begin your training in the **Mystical Palm Technique**," Rin said.
Rin placed two scrolls and two dead fish on top of two large stones. She first taught the hand seals for the jutsu and explained how Obito and Yasu should channel their chakra to activate it.
"Now you know how to activate this technique, but you must never use it before mastering it properly. As I mentioned earlier, this technique requires excellent chakra control. If you use even slightly more chakra than necessary, you could put the patient into a coma.
"It's harder than it seems to maintain a steady chakra flow for the **Mystical Palm Technique**. That's why, to learn it correctly, you will practice on these fish. If you use the technique correctly for long enough, the fish you're healing will revive," Rin explained.
She then moved closer to one of the large stones and began demonstrating the Mystical Palm Technique on the fish placed on the scroll. In a short time, the fish started moving again, alive and seemingly happy.
Obito was quite excited to see the fish being revived. Yasu, however, had already seen this technique many times in the anime and wasn't as surprised. Instead, he focused on observing how much chakra Rin used to maintain the technique.
It was clear that keeping the technique active required greater chakra control than walking on water. Moreover, unlike walking on water, this technique demanded an unwavering, constant flow of chakra, with no fluctuations allowed.
Since Yasu had already learned the technique through the system, all he needed was practice. By repeatedly training, he could gain the experience needed to maintain a steady chakra flow and use the technique properly.
Obito, on the other hand, had to learn the entire technique from scratch. His chakra control wasn't as refined, and he didn't have much talent for medical ninjutsu. Yasu realized that Rin would need to focus more on training Obito, which would likely keep her closer to him.
