Naruto: The God of Bloodlines

Chapter 10: Obito and Rin Part 3

Obito and Rin didn't know what to say after hearing Yasu's explanation. Even if they hadn't agreed at first, they had to admit he had a point. They knew the village could send them on a suicide mission, and they would have no choice but to accept it.

As friends of Kakashi, Obito and Rin were well aware of the story of Kakashi's father, Sakumo Hatake, one of Konoha's greatest heroes and strongest ninjas. He had taken his own life after failing a mission because he chose to save his comrades instead of completing it.

They couldn't deny that Yasu might indeed be sent on a similar mission as punishment and end up dying, especially since Yasu didn't have the strength that someone like Sakumo Hatake had.

"Obito, Yasu might be right. Besides, this is his choice, and we have to keep it a secret," said Rin.

Obito, who had already agreed with Yasu's reasoning, had no reason to disagree further. Even though Obito, aspiring to be Hokage, didn't fully agree with this way of thinking, he respected Yasu's decision and understood his circumstances.

"Thank you for keeping my secret. I knew I could trust you two. Even though I said I have more chakra and a stronger body now, I actually haven't learned any new jutsu apart from what we learned at the academy," Yasu said.

"In any case, I wouldn't have enough chakra to use many jutsu repeatedly, and it would take me a while to learn them. So, I'd have to go to war relying solely on the taijutsu I learned from Guy," Yasu added.

"Haha! So, you haven't learned any powerful jutsu, Yasu? It'll be tough for you to fight me like that. Don't worry, in our training, I'll stick to using only taijutsu so I don't hurt you," Obito said proudly.

"Actually, I wanted you to use your jutsu against me, Obito. Since becoming stronger, I've only fought against Guy. But Guy can't use jutsu, so my training hasn't been complete," said Yasu.

"You don't have much experience, Yasu. My jutsu are all powerful and designed to kill. Even if I hold back, you could still get seriously hurt, and not even Rin might be able to heal you. Wait until you have more combat experience and strength before I fight you using jutsu," said Obito.

Yasu laughed upon hearing Obito say that. This was the same boy who used jutsu capable of killing even during their time at the ninja academy, and now he was afraid to use weakened jutsu against him. But Yasu knew Obito meant well, so he decided to propose a challenge.

"Alright then, Obito. Let's fight using only taijutsu as you said, but if I beat you even once, then you'll fight me using your weakest jutsu to help me train," said Yasu.

"Okay, I see you're confident, Yasu. If you can beat me in taijutsu, I'll use jutsu against you in our future training sessions," said Obito.

Rin simply laughed at seeing Yasu and Obito make this bet. She also thought it was dangerous for Obito to use jutsu in a training match against Yasu, even with her present to use medical ninjutsu.

Rin knew Obito was far stronger now than he had been during their academy days. He had already defeated many chunin from other villages using his ninjutsu and even his taijutsu.

Even though Yasu was stronger now, Rin couldn't imagine him being strong enough to defeat Obito, who had extensive experience in life-and-death battles.

The fight began, and Yasu moved at his maximum speed, trying to catch Obito off guard. Obito was genuinely surprised to see that Yasu was much faster than him and was forced to go on the defensive.

Even so, some of Yasu's attacks, honed through his training with Guy, managed to hit Obito. Obito felt a lot of pain and realized that each of Yasu's ordinary strikes was stronger than his own attacks at full strength.

Rin, who was watching, was also surprised by Yasu's combat skills and speed. She was certain that if she had been in Obito's place, she would have already lost the fight. If Rin didn't know Yasu personally, she might have believed he was lying when he said he had been weak in the past.

Soon the fight grew more intense, and Obito was finally defeated. After all, Yasu had learned from Guy, who could easily defeat other chunin who fought using all the ninjutsu they had.

Even though Yasu didn't think the result was particularly strange, it shocked both Rin and Obito. They knew that Guy had only managed to become a chunin because he was one of the best taijutsu fighters in the village.

There were even rumors that Guy could defeat some jonin if he used his secret technique, but since Guy had never used the Inner Gates in the village, no one knew if those rumors were true.

If Yasu could already defeat Obito in a taijutsu fight, he was certainly capable of participating in the ninja war and surviving, even without knowing any ninjutsu.

Yasu didn't know what Obito and Rin were thinking; he was considering himself lucky that Obito wasn't yet very skilled in taijutsu. This meant he didn't need to remove the 2400 kg of weights he wore to make himself faster and win the fight.

While Yasu thought he might not need to remove his weights even when fighting Obito using ninjutsu, an unexpected message from the system appeared in his mind.

**[DING]**

**[The user has defeated an important character from the Naruto world. You have received two random jutsu as a reward and an additional 1% purity in the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai. Keep up the effort.]**

As Yasu rejoiced at this unexpected reward and the added 1% bloodline purity, he suddenly received the knowledge of how to perform the two jutsu granted to him as a prize.
