Chapter 161: 161. Killing The Demon Leech
Kakashi rubbed his hands together, charging his Chidori before sprinting toward the direction where the leech-nin was hiding.
Namikaze Minato had stopped Kakashi earlier because he noticed that Kakashi's ninjutsu was a thrusting type, and he had identified its weaknesses from the start.
Minato looked at Sora beside him with doubt in his eyes. "Kakashi's ninjutsu focuses on one point for thrusting. It can definitely increase destructive power and speed, but he moves too fast, and his eyes can't adapt to such speed. This means he can't see his opponent's movements clearly. Sora, you must know this, right?"
Sora watched Kakashi sprinting forward but didn't directly answer Minato's question. Instead, he asked, "Then do you think Kakashi's new ninjutsu is more powerful than Thunder Breath: One Type Thunderbolt Flash?"
Minato replied without thinking, "Of course, a flash of thunder is faster."
Sora smiled and said, "Since Kakashi can adapt to the speed of Thunderbolt Flash, why can't he adapt to the speed of his Chidori move? Minato, Kakashi is my disciple, and I treat him better than you do. His situation has improved, and his dynamic vision is no longer weaker than that of an ordinary Sharingan. This world is inherently unfair. Geniuses become strong, mediocre people remain weak, and it's always the exception when weak people rise up to become strong. Most geniuses naturally become powerful, so don't compare ordinary people with Kakashi."
Minato fell silent and turned his attention back to Kakashi.
The Demon Leech saw Kakashi rushing toward him and was slightly surprised. "I didn't expect he would charge directly at me..."
The leech-nin and his Shadow Clone simultaneously threw many shuriken at Kakashi.
Sora countered with a backhand throw of numerous shuriken, knocking down all the projectiles aimed at Kakashi, allowing him to continue his sprint unhindered.
Through the kunai trajectory, Kakashi confirmed the locations of both the leech-nin and his Shadow Clone.
"First!" Kakashi shouted as he rushed toward the closest leech and drove his Chidori into the enemy's abdomen.
But the leech turned into smoke and disappeared.
"Damn it, just a Shadow Clone? Then the next one!"
Kakashi continued sprinting, searching for the next leech-nin.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Obito, Nohara Rin, and Takei Katsuhiko were also scanning the area for enemies.
Suddenly, a leech-nin emerged from the ground in front of Obito and stabbed at him with a kunai.
Minato appeared just in time, driving his own kunai into the leech's head.
But this leech was also a Shadow Clone.
"Don't be careless!" Kakashi called out to Obito and the others.
By now, Kakashi had eliminated eighteen Shadow Clones.
"This is the nineteenth Shadow Clone!"
The Demon Leech roared, "Don't be so proud, little devil!"
The enemy pulled out his ninja sword and slashed at Kakashi's abdomen.
When Minato saw this, he immediately judged that Kakashi couldn't dodge and prepared to use the Flying Thunder God Technique.
Before Minato could move, Sora grabbed his shoulders and roughly warned him, "Injuries in battle are common. If everyone protects them like you're some kind of nanny, when will they ever grow up? You are not allowed to interfere with Kakashi's battle. If the Flying Thunder God kunai you gave Kakashi was meant for this kind of overprotection, then take your kunai and leave!"
The Chidori in Kakashi's hand had already dispersed, and his right hand now rested on the short blade strapped to his back.
"Thunder Breath, Two Type, Rice Soul!"
In the moment Kakashi drew his short blade, he executed five lightning-shaped combo slashes.
The leech was instantly cut into several pieces, but this, too, was only a Shadow Clone.
This was the nineteenth Shadow Clone, and together with the one that had attacked Obito and the others, that made twenty Shadow Clones.
Only one remained—the real body.
Kakashi turned to his left and bent his body slightly.
"Breath of Thunder, Shape of One, Thunderbolt Flash!"
Kakashi exploded forward in one breath, like thunder tearing through air, approaching at high speed the tree where the leech was hiding. He slashed with his sword, cutting through the entire tree.
However, due to the limitations of Kakashi's short blade, it only managed to scratch the leech-nin without causing a fatal injury.
The Demon Leech was now sweating profusely, unable to control his fear.
From Kakashi's techniques, the leech-nin had recognized him.
These were the signature ninjutsu of the Blood-eyed Shura, which meant the black-haired youth must be the Blood-eyed Shura himself.
According to information gathered by his Shadow Clones, the yellow-haired man was likely the Yellow Flash, Namikaze Minato.
On the battlefield, encountering either of these two would be reason enough to retreat immediately.
What terrible luck to meet both the Blood-Eyed Shura and the Yellow Flash at the same time!
There was no way he could win!
As the Demon Leech prepared to retreat, Kakashi formed another seal to condense his Chidori.
"Chidori!"
Kakashi thrust forward. Terrified, the leech-nin tried to escape, ignoring Kakashi completely while focusing his attention on Sora and Minato. Unable to dodge, he was pierced through the chest by Kakashi's Chidori.
The Demon Leech fell to the ground, dead. The battle was over, and Kakashi let out a long breath.
Sora approached Kakashi and asked, "Have you discovered your weaknesses?"
Kakashi nodded. "Yes. Although Chidori can only thrust in a straight line like Thunderbolt Flash, it's still difficult to change direction, and the speed doesn't compare to Thunderbolt Flash. Since it's a newly developed technique, it still has many flaws."
Sora nodded in approval. "You just need to understand that. The Breath of Thunder Sword Type is already very refined, but your Chidori is still immature and has room for growth. Moreover, it's a ninjutsu you developed yourself, so you can continue to create derivative techniques based on Chidori."
"I understand, Sensei Sora," Kakashi replied seriously.
Minato and Obito walked over to join Sora and Kakashi.
Looking at the panting Kakashi, Minato suggested, "Kakashi has worked hard. Let's retreat from here and set up camp to rest."
"No, I'm not tired," Kakashi refused.
"You're so stubborn!" Obito complained.
Kakashi responded with irritation, "I don't want to hear that from someone whose legs were shaking just now while crying. Aren't you supposed to be one of the elite Uchiha?"
"Well... that was just sand in my eyes! That's why tears came out!" Obito retorted.
"Do you know the 25th ninja rule?" Kakashi muttered. "It states that 'A ninja must never show his tears to others.'"
Seeing that the two were quarreling again, Nohara Rin quickly intervened. "Wait... you two, stop it!"
"Both of you, that's enough!" Minato scolded sternly.
