Naruto: Starting With Three Tomoe Sharingan, Girlfriend Kushina

Chapter 78: The Person Ryun Fears Most; Let Me Graduate Early? No Way!

"You're going to teach me how to walk on water tomorrow? That's great!" Kushina was very excited.

Ever since Ryun had stood on the water and taunted her last time, she had been thinking about learning this skill. That way, if she ever got angry again, she could make sure that certain someone had nowhere to run!

Neither of them knew what the other was thinking, but they were both genuinely happy...

"Then tomorrow night, I'll teach you sealing techniques!"

As soon as Kushina said this, Ryun's eyes lit up, and his heart swelled with joy. His face took on an even more foolish expression...

"You... why are you suddenly... grinning so creepily..."

Seeing Ryun like this, Kushina instinctively became wary.

"Ah... am I? No, no, not at all..."

"..."

As soon as night fell, Ryun prepared gifts and headed to Might Dai's house.

By the time he left, it was almost nine at night.

After parting ways with Dai, Ryun immediately noticed someone following him. Before he could lure them to a secluded spot, the person actively blocked his path.

It was a Konoha Anbu member!

"Uchiha Ryun, the Hokage wants to see you. Come with me..."

"!!!"

The Anbu's words made him frown instinctively. Without any reason, why would Sarutobi Hiruzen want to see him?

Ryun didn't think anything good would come of it.

"May I ask why the Hokage wants to see me..."

"I don't know. You'll find out when you get there." The Anbu spoke coldly.

"..."

A short while later, Ryun walked straight into the Hokage's office.

The office was brightly lit, with only two people inside, but one of them was someone he feared the most.

'Shimura Danzō!!!'

If there was one person in Konoha that Ryun needed to be most cautious of, Danzō would undoubtedly be at the top of the list.

The reason was simple—this man didn't follow rules or reason, and he would stop at nothing to achieve his goals. There was nothing he wouldn't do...

A power-obsessed extremist who recognized no boundaries and only pursued his own interests, such a person was extremely difficult to deal with. Ryun couldn't easily influence or sway him with words.

For someone like Danzō, you either needed higher authority to suppress him or greater strength to force him to back down...

Unfortunately, Ryun currently had neither, so he couldn't help but feel a little uneasy.

"Hokage-sama... You called me here. Is there something you wanted to discuss?"

"Ah... Ryun, you're here..." Hiruzen set down the documents in his hand.

"There's nothing particularly urgent. I mainly wanted to clarify a few things with you."

Hiruzen lit his pipe and then adopted a serious expression.

"You participated in one B-rank mission, one A-rank mission, and one S-rank mission with Orochimaru. Normally, since you're not yet a ninja, you shouldn't have been involved in these missions."

"However, since you've already completed them and the missions were successful, we have no choice but to record your name in the archives early. All three missions will count toward your ninja career record."

Hiruzen rubbed his temples in frustration. Orochimaru was too reckless and ignored the rules, dragging Ryun into such high-level missions... and now even his own teacher was implicated.

When the two Hokage advisors informed Danzō of this matter, the three of them teamed up to berate Hiruzen relentlessly.

The Third Hokage knew he was at fault and couldn't refute their accusations, so he had no choice but to endure the criticism from the higher-ups on behalf of his troublesome disciple.

But while Hiruzen could blame Orochimaru for being willful, he couldn't blame Ryun. The reason for summoning Ryun tonight was mainly to prevent such incidents from happening again.

"The reason I called you here tonight is to ask if you'd like to graduate early. After all, completing three high-rank missions proves your abilities. If you want to graduate early and become a genin, I can authorize it for you..."

"No, no, I don't want to..."

Seeing the Third Hokage's "true intentions" revealed, Ryun immediately interrupted him.

What kind of joke was this? His life right now was comfortable and enjoyable. Why would he willingly graduate early just to slave away?

The real reason he worked hard to learn ninjutsu was for self-preservation and strength. If not for power, what normal person would willingly become a ninja?

Was being a slave fun? Or was killing and arson fun?

What Ryun truly wanted was to become strong, not to be a ninja.

"Hokage-sama, you flatter me. The high-rank missions were all completed by Orochimaru-sensei and Nawaki. Sensei only brought me along to broaden my horizons. At most, I just did odd jobs, manual labor, or carried corpses..."

Ryun deliberately put on an awkward expression as he explained.

"Is that so..." Hiruzen frowned slightly, as if considering the credibility of his words.

Seeing the old man's expression, Ryun guessed that Orochimaru might not have given Hiruzen the mission details.

In fact, after Orochimaru finished reporting the mission, he immediately turned into smoke—the one who went to the Hokage's office was a shadow clone. He didn't even give Hiruzen a chance to scold him...

Nawaki was left behind in the Hokage's office for questioning, but this guy was completely unreliable. He played dumb, clearly hiding something.

Given his noble status, no one could do anything about him...

"Explain the mission details carefully." Danzō finally spoke at this point.

His face remained expressionless, as if he never smiled.

"Which mission are you referring to?" Ryun scratched his head.

"Start with the S-rank mission." Danzō stared at him coldly.

Ryun instinctively glanced at Hiruzen and saw the man give him a slight nod.

His mind raced, and he began recounting the mission in the Land of Sound where they eliminated various bandit groups.

He deliberately downplayed his own role, emphasizing that he only handled dirty work like collecting corpses, gathering loot, and setting fires—basically just a small tool.

"Why did you collect the corpses? If you were going to burn everything, why bother collecting them?" Danzō suddenly asked.

"Uh... to feed the giant snakes... snakes as big as small mountains..." Ryun gestured with his hands.

The fact that Orochimaru's summon was a giant snake was known to Konoha's higher-ups, so Ryun wasn't revealing any secrets.

Moreover, in the three missions Ryun had participated in with Orochimaru, the latter hadn't specifically instructed him to keep anything confidential. So now, facing Danzō and the Hokage's questioning, he felt most of the details could be shared.

As long as he omitted the things that needed to be hidden.

Ryun explained in extreme detail, spending a long time describing how they raided just one bandit hideout...

"Get to the point..." Danzō interrupted impatiently.

It was already past ten at night. Did he not want to go home? And this brat kept going on about how Nawaki chopped people up...

"Weren't you the one who told me to explain carefully..."

Ryun wore a bewildered expression, then stared blankly at the Hokage, stopping mid-sentence...

"..."

Danzō's face darkened as he stood up and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

"Hokage-sama, did I say something wrong?"

Ryun looked "innocently" at the old Hokage.
