Gu Xingxi compared the Fire Release scroll given by the system with the one from his father, Fugaku. The system's scroll included everything that Fugaku's did and even more.
"Seriously, this thing's a rip-off," Gu Xingxi muttered. "Only the Body Flicker Technique in Fugaku's scroll seems worth my time. The rest are unnecessary, considering the forbidden techniques the system offers. I bet trying to use them would burn my mouth off."
After spending two thousand points on a natural tooth exchange, Gu Xingxi was left without a single point.
"Let me run up a tab," he requested from the system. "Give me ten thousand points; I need to swap some techniques."
"Request approved. Please proceed to the system store to make your purchase," the system responded.
Gu Xingxi opened the store and browsed the Lightning Release techniques, eventually settling on the Chidori.
"Upgrade this Chidori to full level for me," he instructed the system.
"Chidori successfully exchanged and all chakra transformations mastered," the system confirmed.
Eager to test his new ability, Gu Xingxi stepped outside and drew his blade, infusing it with the Lightning Release chakra. The blade buzzed and glowed ominously.
Pleased with the durability of his weapon, he used his 3D Maneuver Gear to swiftly fly to a nearby forest. With one swift strike, he splited a large tree in half.
"Perfect! Kakashi, your technique is quite handy. I'll teach it to you when you're older and give you a nice gift too," Gu Xingxi proclaimed, controlling his gear to head back home. As he flew, he mused, "Kakashi must be around two years old now."
He returned home, laid down on a wooden plank resembling a bed, and slept through the night. The next morning, he was awoken by a knock at the door from an Anbu member.
"Get dressed; you need to go to the Ninja Academy for a test," the Anbu instructed.
Acknowledging, Gu Xingxi got dressed while pondering, "All these Anbu wear the same masks; how do they tell each other apart?"
Dressed at last, he leisurely strolled to school, deliberately planning to arrive late. "Why rush? Just to watch kids fight?"
Gu Xingxi was confident that no one below Jonin level posed a challenge to him; even a Jonin might struggle against him.
Upon arriving at the Ninja Academy, he learned that, due to the ongoing war, the usual three stages of the Genin exam had been reduced to just one: a battle between the two parties.
The first match had just begun—Minato Namikaze versus Tobirama Senju.
"Why is Tobirama still competing against Minato? Didn't he graduate ages ago? Maybe Tsunade held him back," Gu Xingxi thought.
The battle commenced with the Chunin judge's signal. At this time, Minato didn't yet master the Flying Thunder God Technique but was proficient with the Body Flicker Technique, whereas Tobirama, Tsunade's brother, had ninjutsu potentially twice as powerful as Minato's.
Tobirama initiated with "Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique," conjuring a water dragon with a few hand signs that surged towards Minato. Minato quickly summoned a shadow clone and dodged the attack, closing in on Tobirama.
Panicking, Tobirama attempted to form signs for another jutsu, but Minato was already upon him.
The outcome was predictable—Minato won. Tobirama, a mage in close combat, was no match, having previously met his end to Orochimaru's explosive tag.
The next match was Gu Xingxi against Torifu Akimichi.
As the judge signaled the start, Gu Xingxi swiftly descended from the platform using his 3D Maneuver Gear.
"I wonder if Torifu has mastered the Multi-Size Technique yet. If so, I'll show him how to chop a giant," Gu Xingxi pondered.
At the judge's command, the battle began.
Torifu used the "Super Multi-Size Technique," enlarging himself into a five-six meter tall mini-giant.
"Why am I so fired up? Is it because of the 3D Maneuver Gear? Here I come, giant," Gu Xingxi declared, maneuvering towards Torifu.
First, he hooked onto Torifu's ankle using the gear's inertia to swing behind him, then sliced at his nape with his blade, now charged with Lightning Release chakra.
Gu Xingxi knew an ordinary blade wouldn't suffice, so he enhanced it with chakra.
With one strike, Torifu was incapacitated and fainted.
"Over in one hit!" Gu Xingxi exclaimed triumphantly.
Shikamaru Nara, overseeing the match, declared Torifu's defeat.
"You needn't say it; he lost anyway," Gu Xingxi retorted, flying off the field with his gear.
As Shikaku watched him leave, he mused, "Uchiha are a proud clan, but what exactly is that device? It seems specially designed to counter Torifu."
