In the Hokage's office, two mischievous kids were still glaring at each other with defiant expressions, as if ready to fight again.
Students fighting, a teacher stepping in only to get hit—if word of this got out...
"Alright, let's hold off for now," Tsunade said, noticing a knock at the office door. She gestured to Iruka to pause.
"Come in."
The door opened, and Kazuki walked into the Hokage's office. The first thing he saw was two bruised and battered kids and their teacher, Iruka.
What on earth happened here?
Kazuki cast a questioning look at Tsunade, who gestured for him to close the door first.
"I'm not late, am I?"
At that moment, Jiraiya leaned against the windowsill, casually jumping into the Hokage's office. He immediately noticed Naruto looking pitiful and was momentarily stunned.
"Alright, now that everyone's here, let's settle this matter," Tsunade said, crossing her arms.
What's this supposed to mean?
Sasuke gets into a fight at school, and you call me to deal with it?
I'm not his father. Shouldn't you be calling Fugaku?
And how did a little kids' fight escalate all the way to the Hokage's office?
Jiraiya's lips twitched. He had rushed over, thinking it was something serious, only to find out it was about kids fighting.
"Tsunade, something like this doesn't need such formal handling, does it?"
Throwing Naruto a reassuring look, Jiraiya chuckled and said, "Kids fighting is no big deal. Remember how we were when we were younger?"
"Did you also fight your teacher back then?" Tsunade shot him a glare.
"..."
This brat is something else—getting into a fight with his classmate and even dragging the teacher into it. He's done what I, Jiraiya, never dared to do.
Unfortunately, Naruto wasn't in the mood to pay attention to Jiraiya; he was busy having a staring contest with Sasuke.
Naruto wasn't feeling great, and Sasuke wasn't much better off either.
Still, Sasuke wasn't as bold as Naruto. When he noticed Kazuki's arrival, he instinctively shrank his neck.
Ridiculous. How does something so trivial end up in the Hokage's office?
"So, how did this fight start?"
Kazuki patted Sasuke on the shoulder.
Since I'm already here, I might as well deal with it quickly so this kid can go home sooner.
Sasuke could still act tough in front of Iruka, a teacher who wasn't particularly strong.
But facing Kazuki, who had left a deep psychological impression on him, Sasuke obediently lowered his head.
"He called me an idiot and then started hitting me."
"..."
Of course, it's that reckless Naruto again.
Shaking his head, Kazuki asked, "Iruka-sensei, is that what happened?"
"Ah... yes."
That was the truth, and Iruka couldn't find a way to defend Naruto. Besides, he didn't have much affection for Naruto yet.
At this point, Iruka hadn't fully warmed up to Naruto; he wasn't the caring and considerate teacher he would become later.
"But it's because he hit Sakura first!" Naruto protested indignantly.
The reason Naruto and Sasuke fought was simple: during a sparring match between Sakura and Sasuke, Sasuke hit Sakura.
Seeing the girl he liked getting hurt, Naruto became upset, started yelling insults at Sasuke, and eventually picked a fight.
Kids in this world really mature fast.
Kazuki couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Idiot! They were sparring in a training match—what were you even interfering for?"
Jiraiya, exasperated, stepped forward and flicked Naruto on the forehead.
How dare you be so confidence?
At such a young age, you're already causing trouble.
"Ouch!"
Naruto crouched down, clutching his head in pain, looking aggrieved.
After dealing with Naruto, Jiraiya kept chuckling as he apologized to Iruka.
Faced with Jiraiya's constant apologies, Iruka didn't dare harbor any resentment and hurriedly assured him it was fine.
After all, he was just a lowly teacher, and having someone as important as Jiraiya bow to him was overwhelming.
"Alright, you can head back for now. Today wasn't entirely your fault, but try to go easier on your classmates in the future, especially the girls," Kazuki advised Sasuke, hinting that he shouldn't mess around too much—lest he scare off his future wife.
Still, Kazuki was curious. Would Sakura really give up on Sasuke because of this?
Probably... maybe... not.
"No way! He has to apologize to Sakura!"
Hearing that Sasuke wasn't entirely in the wrong, Naruto immediately protested.
This brat...
"Naruto, don't be rude in front of the Hokage!"
Iruka, furious, roared at Naruto, "Sakura and Sasuke were in a sparring match. What were you even interfering for?!"
This mischievous kid... Tsunade rubbed her temples in frustration and glared at Jiraiya, who was laughing thoughtlessly.
When the upper beam is crooked, the lower beam is slanted. Look at how you're teaching him.
"But..."
After getting yelled at by Iruka, Naruto shrank back, clearly intimidated by him.
"No buts! Stop meddling."
Iruka's nostrils flared in anger as he kept taking deep breaths to calm down.
"Enough, enough. Iruka, just take these two kids back," Tsunade said, finally fed up.
"Yes, Lady Hokage," Iruka replied, grabbing Naruto by the collar to prevent him from causing more trouble.
"Naruto is as troublesome as ever," Jiraiya sighed.
After spending some time as Naruto's guardian, Jiraiya knew all too well how difficult the boy could be.
Difficult was good—if Naruto ever suddenly became quiet and well-behaved, that would be a real problem.
With Iruka taking the two kids away, the Hokage's office finally quieted down.
Tsunade pulled out two plans, handing one each to Kazuki and Jiraiya.
"This is the reform proposal for the ninja academy. See if there's anything that needs revising or adding."
At the mention of "proposal," Jiraiya, who hadn't even opened the document yet, was about to say that he wasn't good at these things and suggest Tsunade handle it herself.
But noticing Tsunade's sharp gaze fixed on him, Jiraiya swallowed his words.
He was afraid that if he spoke up, Tsunade would kill him on the spot.
The proposal is ready already?
Kazuki was a little surprised. As expected, only Tsunade could handle serious matters like this efficiently.
Opening the document, Kazuki began reading through it carefully.
It was similar to the suggestions he had given, but Tsunade had modified some impractical aspects and added her own ideas.
"So, Lady Hokage, your plan is to first improve the welfare of the ninja academy, strengthen the teaching staff, and increase the enrollment of civilian children without expanding the academy's size for now?"
