Chapter 12: 12
Huang Ryome stared at Kenichi, eyes narrowed with curiosity.
"You've transformed into an Uchiha… but which Uchiha is this? I don't recognize him."
Kenichi grinned mischievously.
"Hehe… just a dead man. Play along with me when the time comes,Ryome. My Genjutsu isn't perfect yet, so I'll need your help."
Huang Ryome chuckled, a knowing gleam in his eyes.
"This kid… he's really got a wicked sense of humor."
By now, he had figured out the trick.
Kenichi had disguised himself as none other than the Uchiha Tobirama personally killed—Uchiha Izuna.
"Even if he plans to save Tobirama, he's doing it in the most dramatic, messed-up way possible."
Huang Ryome smirked, shaking his head.
"Fine, fine. This should be entertaining."
"Water Style: Water Breaking Wave!"
A high-pressure stream of water erupted from Senju Tobirama's mouth, slicing through the battlefield like a blade of pure force.
A dozen Kumogakure shinobi dodged, but two who were too slow were bisected instantly—their upper halves falling lifelessly to the ground.
Tobirama coughed violently, his breath ragged, but his red eyes still burned with defiance.
"Damn it… if only I wasn't so injured… I'd wipe you all out!"
His gaze locked onto the remaining Cloud Shinobi, who—despite their numbers—hesitated.
Then—
"He's at his limit! All together now!"
"We'll overwhelm him!"
"Kill Senju Tobirama!"
With renewed determination, they surged forward, launching a coordinated assault of Ninjutsu and weapons.
"Water Style: Water Shockwave!"
Tobirama clapped his hands together, summoning a roaring vortex of water that spiraled into the sky, sweeping up his attackers mid-charge.
The ninja were thrown into the air, battered by the violent currents.
Tobirama gritted his teeth, his body screaming in pain.
"I can't keep this up… but I have to… until my students are safe…"
Then—
"Hahahaha! You look pathetic, Senju Tobirama!"
A deep, cruel laugh echoed across the battlefield.
Tobirama's expression darkened.
"Damn it… they caught up!"
A wave of fireballs rained from above, crashing down in a scorching barrage.
"Water Style: Heavenly Cry!"
Tobirama retaliated, expelling a thousand razor-sharp water needles, intercepting the fireballs mid-air.
A cloud of steam erupted—obscuring his vision.
Then—
"Ehha!"
A figure burst through the mist, wielding a massive blade, swinging it straight at Tobirama's head.
Tobirama raised his sword, barely blocking the strike, but the force sent him skidding backward.
A voice rang out—
"Well done, brother!"
"Excellent work, brother!"
Emerging from the haze were two men, nearly identical in appearance, except for their differing hair colors.
Draped in Kumogakure armor, one held a Seven-Star Sword, the other a Banana Fan.
The infamous Golden and Silver Brothers—Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
Kinkaku grinned savagely, resting his massive fan on his shoulder.
"Our Second Raikage is dead… so it's only fair your Second Hokage dies too, right?"
Tobirama spat blood onto the dirt, eyes narrowing.
"You cowards… you only won through treachery."
Ginkaku snorted, his voice dripping with amusement.
"Spare us the lecture. War favors the despicable—and that's us."
Kinkaku smirked.
"Exactly. We attack the strong when they're weak."
Tobirama braced himself, his chakra reserves nearly depleted.
"This is it… my last stand…!"
But—
A voice interrupted the battle, its tone mocking yet oddly familiar.
"Ho~? Tobirama… I never thought I'd see you in such a sorry state."
Tobirama froze.
His heart stopped.
His blood ran cold.
"That voice… it's impossible!"
The air trembled, and from the darkness stepped a lone figure.
He was cloaked in black, his piercing red eyes glowing ominously.
His sharp features, his slicked-back raven hair—
It was a face Tobirama knew well.
His hands shook involuntarily.
"Uchiha… Izuna?"
Kinkaku and Ginkaku stared in confusion.
"Huh? Uchiha Izuna?"
"Didn't that guy die years ago?"
Kinkaku's brows furrowed.
"Brother, is this guy an imposter?"
Ginkaku shook his head.
"I don't see any Genjutsu or disguises."
Of course, they wouldn't—Huang Ryome's Genjutsu was seamless.
Kenichi—disguised as Izuna—grinned maliciously, placing a hand on his katana's hilt.
"Tch, Tobirama… don't tell me you forgot me already? You were the one who killed me, after all."
Tobirama's fists clenched.
"You're… dead! I killed you myself!"
Kenichi sighed theatrically.
"Yeah, yeah. You got me. I even gave my eyes to my dear brother before I died… but guess what? I'm back."
His crimson gaze locked onto Tobirama, watching the Senju's expression shift from disbelief to wary recognition.
"He… he looks just like Izuna…! But how…?"
Meanwhile, Kinkaku and Ginkaku exchanged glances.
"Doesn't matter if he's alive or not—we can just kill him again."
Kenichi ignored them, smirking at Tobirama.
"Now then… tell me, Tobirama—can you still fight?"
Tobirama gritted his teeth, pushing himself upright.
"Hmph… don't underestimate me, Uchiha."
Kenichi flashed a wicked grin.
"Good. Let's make this a fight to remember."
Kinkaku scowled, raising his Banana Fan.
"Enough talking—DIE!"
A maelstrom of fire and lightning erupted from the fan, surging toward them.
Kenichi and Tobirama moved simultaneously—
"Fire Style: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"
"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!"
Two Dragons—one of flame, one of water
Roared through the battlefield, colliding with the storm.
